Jodi better get busy and kill herself real soon if her "Mark my words, no jury will ever convict me." promise is to be kept. Hummm...maybe it was just a lie.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I spent a bit of time around our local courthouse as a kid. My Dad's job invoIved appearing in court for the prosecution/gaol side, so the latest goings on in our local court were often discussed by the adults in my life. Most of it was beyond my grasp back then. But Ivan Milat, the Backpacker Kller, lived on the hill opposite my parents, & his trial was a huge topic - I was old enough to join the discussion by then. So I've seen a little bit of human nature working it's magic on verdicts. The rules and traditions are different in our courts, but I don't expect your juries are much different to ours. In that first paragraph though, I was mostly just being a smartarse (I have to remember we're on different sides of the world, some humour/sarcasm is interchangeable, but not all..)
God...this post gave me chills down my spine. The way you just described that, I pictured the horrifying scene that night so clearly. You're right...none of us except Jodi, will ever know how things went that day. No matter how many times members argue sequence of injuries, it all ends the same terrible way. Many lives have been damaged forever. There are many things that haunt me and I wish I had the answers to...but one of them is the gun. I have NO idea what a gun of that caliber would sound like when fired in a tiled bathroom...and maybe when people are in their own homes, doing their own thing with TVs, music on, there's no way anyone would hear that shot. I find it weird that NO ONE heard the shot though. Maybe that caliber is fairly "quiet" in comparison to others? Maybe just a little pop sound, like a loud firecracker. Who knows...just another damn aspect that eats away at me about this case.
May 11-was the last nice text message Travis ever wrote Jodi. No text messages (or any others) were shown in court after that from Travis until May 25-26 angry text/IM from Travis. In between the 11th and 26, Jodi did many, many things. She wrote Travis several emails, a stupid poem, and lots of diary entries. There was nothing shown that showed Travis responded to any of them until the May 25-26 event. After the May 25-26 event, Jodi's phone records show that she called Travis many times, but all were for less that a minute or two. On June 2, there were many one or two minute calls to Travis. One of them was for a couple of minutes, but Jodi said on the stand.....that call was about a PPL member that died.
Maybe the attorney talk was b/c Jodi was pissed off that Travis didn't give a shout out to her in his book. Her LONG ASS email on May 16- she was pretty pissed off at him about that. Here's just a small part of it, but it's really a very long email. She's pretty pissed about several things in this email.
Here goes... I realized after further introspection why it is that I asked you to give me a little mention in your next post as credit for the task of editing and grammar and typing the lengthy thing out. Partly, it is obvious. You gave your friend Katie a mention, and that was just for the intro. Logically, I am your friend, too. Your first chapter is at length and much longer, and so being the human that I am, it would make me feel good to have a little recognition thrown my way. But it goes deeper than that. I know I should be over this by now, and on most levels I am, really. But I feel that I never got the proper “credit” or recognition I deserved as your girlfriend. You say it is because you’re a private person. you say it was because of Deanna. You say it was because you were rather attached to the reputation of being a single, eligible bachelor. I understand all of that. I really do, and that’s okay, hon. I don’t harbor bad feelings over any of that stuff. I’m serious. You may be asking yourself why then the lengthy email detailing all of this, if that is in fact the case?
Well, it’s a good thing this is in “writing” because if that is your question it has already been answered in the first paragraph of this email. Refer back to it if you wish. But my cry for a little recognition comes from a place within me that feels it was never adequately gratified in that it thirsted to be validated not just as some girl friend that you associated with, but as your girlfriend. I wasn’t asking for you to give me credit for all of your greatness, no. If I had anything to do with that then only a very tiny part, if at all. Though I was beginning to wonder if you were going to be able to subscribe to the philosophy that behind every great man there is a great woman, then that philosophy is a two way street, by the way. I find myself now wishing to be recognized as your friend, and I think that comes from the fact that there is a hesitancy on your part to grant me that recognition within your entire circle of friends.HAHA. The stampede of the horny, trial watching, middle aged women.
Flash takes a while to regenerate...
And the flash would temporarily blind him.
i don't believe any of it happened in the closet.
it would be loud. Bathrooms have hard, sound reflecting surfaces. Your ears would ring. Indoors, even a .22 is loud. It'll startle you if you don't know what to expect.
Top o' the mornin'!

I wanted to post this 1 minute and 56 second video that sums up all the phases pretty well and simple for what will happen.
I like seeing the possible outcomes in a flow chart format. Its informative. Hope the jury has a similar outline.
I'm wondering if JM could be waiting till the aggravation phase to introduce a "reason" for that fateful last text from Travis?
ETA - does anyone know if new evidence can be introduced during the aggravation phase?

I have not seen anyone post this hypothesis but you know the jury met for almost an hour on Friday. They very well could have selected a foreperson and had a vote. They may have already reached a verdict and decided to wait till this morning to announce.
Wouldn't that be great? M1 for breakfast.
That would be wonderful. I have a feeling we'll be waiting all day today and possibly tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong. The waiting is going to be hard for everyone involved.
It would be great though if they met this morning and talked for an hour or so and then announced they have a verdict and that everyone would need to convene in the court room after lunch.
There is always a chance for that.
I think in this case, that would be very slim, tho.
The bigger danger in this case, IMO, is a hung jury. I still don't think that will happen, but one never knows. All it takes is one. A hung jury won't mean she walks free...it just means another trial.
@Bermstalker
Thanks for posting a portion of that email from Jodi to Travis. I rolled my eyes reading that. That first paragraph says she is really ok with it (not being mentioned in his book). Then she goes on more with blah, blah, blah.....Those 2 paragraphs verify what many have said here that Jodi needed TA to validate her importance in his world. She sure doesn't have much sense of self, does she? I have never read that email, do you have a link?
A not guilty or hung jury would kill me!!! Can't imagine the effect that would have on the family and Juan .....
I posted most of the text, diary, and emails on my timeline blog post. Scroll all the way to the bottom to read the very long stuff she wrote.

We will know soon enough, but my guess is going to be they are unanimous. Re: the jury went home on Friday after a first vote and want to come back today to give their verdict. One guess is if they did indeed find they were all unanimous, giving it on Friday and would prolong the day....it would have led to lots of time in the courtroom and press tossing out questions and requests for interviews. This way, they are rested and dressed up for the cameras etc. They know the moments will be highly watched. After the Scott Peterson trial some of the jurors gave a press conference almost right away. After a well rested weekend it might give the rejuvination they need to face a busy week.
I hope we find out eventually what the representative of Wells Fargo/Washing Mutual was going to testify to. If I was going to speculate I'd say probably her financial situation as related to her bank accounts, and the weird deposits/transfers she did on June 2/3.
Hopefully the Judge will unseal a lot of stuff after her conviction. It might depend on what she's convicted of. Her manifesto would be interesting as hell to read.
I sincerely doubt that Stabby ever loaned TA any money, ever. She had no money to lend him. I don't think she made any money at PPL, or if she did it certainly wasn't very much.
We don't know if any tests were performed on the duct tape. I do know that defense spent a bunch of money doing DNA testing based on her bullshit Ninja story but not sure what they had tested.
The state will be able introduce evidence if there is an aggravation phase. I'm sure they have some good evidence to use.
Us? Or the Judge/lawyers etc?
The court PIO will certainly tweet it. Their twitter is https://twitter.com/courtpio . The jury will let the bailiff know that they reached a verdict and the bailiff will inform the Judge, etc. The verdict will probably read within 45 mins to hour in order to allow time for attorney's and family to arrive to at court house.
I'm still hoping for a stun belt demo. The family (TA's) is prepared for any verdict, whatever it happens to be and we have to be as well. let's hope they do the right thing and arrive at M1.
@jeffgoldesq 20h
AZ law allows jury to split between premed murder and felony murder and still convict of capital murder
He's bitter and uninformed. What a goof. He looked at some test results and that's it. Then he tried to diagnose from the tests only. He ended up being worse on the stand than I thought he would be. When he was confronted with pictures of TA's skull with a hole in it he couldn't get off the stand fast enough.
Krista Randle has a good article about Geffner and how disingenuous he was when it came to how he defined "incapacitated"
http://kristinarandle.com/blog/jodi-...fense-witness/Dr. Geffner is defining ?incapacitated? in a different way, and he stated his definition in his testimony. He said that he was defining incapacitated as an inability to move your arms or legs. He also said that this inability would only occur if the motor centers of the brain, located in the rear of the brain, were destroyed.
If the motor centers are not destroyed, then one is not incapacitated. Thus he would not call someone in a deep coma, incapacitated. Now, someone in a deep coma cannot feed themselves, cannot threaten a nurse, cannot get up, cannot walk, cannot control their arms but Dr. Geffner would still not referred to them as incapacitated; after all, the motor centers of their brain are not destroyed.
He stated this very clearly in his testimony. He said, ?this is how I am defining incapacitated.?
It is ludicrous to you, I, and the jury, to accept the definition of Dr. Geffner. He made it sound as if being shot in the front of the head was? really not too big a deal.
If you buy his testimony and you hear two gunshots in the backyard where your children are playing, look out the open window and see two bullet holes, one in each forehead of each child, you?d probably holler to the children ?you two play nice now before somebody gets hurt.?
Don't forget about the BMW she wrecked as well. If he thought/knew she hacked his bank accounts that certainly incur some wrath.
Lie after lie. The jury hopefully will just disregard everything she said!
if you have not done so, you MUST listen to the entirety of this Chris Hughes interview...
He fills in almost every bit of the Travis/Jodi story.
