That rainbow analogy was heart breaking. I didnt think it was at first, but when he talked about the end of Travis' rainbow, that was powerful!

They ARE Travis' rainbows. That blood paints a horrific picture of suffering and terror for Travis. It is akin to a victim scratching the hell out of their attacker. They may not know it at the time, but it may be the only was they can speak about the last few moments of their life.

Mine too. The senseless-ness of it all. It makes me feel so sad for my kids and one day they may encounter evil like this.

She doesn't even have a look of shock indicating "How could my daughter have done that? HOw? How?" She's totally devoid of emotion. Must be a mutant gene.

I said it before and I still contend that she is medicated. Her emotional state in the police tapes do not speak to a woman who is capable of maintaining such intense control.

The right eye unplugs and drifts lazy to the edge of the table, reading the darkness there, tracking the back and forth and back. The left eye watches him. Peeking at him and the photo of Travis's back. The wax head twists and turns to the gallery. It mouths something. We've seen it do this before. it doesnt remind us of anything human.

Sitting next to her are her attorneys. The court officer with his finger on the stun button. Her mom, aunt, brother, and grandmother sit behind her and to the left along with donovan her only friend in the world. We arent feeling any kind of fear. They don't sense evil in the woman in front of them. It's not rage or murderous lust. its blankness, a horrible nothing. A wall has fallen. There is nothing behind it. In this moment we know. Jodi is not Jodi. We never knew her, it is because there is nothing to know.

Terrific imagery. Such a chilling reminder of what is really going on here to a desensitized mind.

I'm trying to figure out if JW was really becoming ill or not. She knew she was to be defending Jodi, but I can't help wonder if she finally WOKE UP during the end of it and realize just how much she too had been duped by Jodi. JW never showed animosity towards Jodi throughout the trial until the end of Juan's summation, it almost looked like she was turning her back on Jodi.

Don't forget, ladies and gents, when you're on Death Row, you usually don't get the needle for many, many years. That's the upside. No interaction with any inmates, pure isolation for many years, before the needle. Suffer Jodi!

i thot about that deeply last night while laying in bed. prob because someone (sorry forgot) posted that article explaining the conditions at arizona prison womens death row. the isolation the hours, days, months, years ticking by....i had to start thinking happy thoughts because it was freaking me out - it would be my very worst nightmare. i cudn't imagine.

Her eyes are so dark....and empty. Nothing in them or behind them. It's an old saying about the eyes being the window into the soul.... in this case, I believe this is spot on. She has nothing inside of her soul. She has no identity, to herself or to anyone else. A nothing. A nobody. Even in her attempts to BECOME a somebody, she's failed miserably. Can't get much worthless than that.

its not like she had this super bad childhool like that female serial killer Aileen Wuornos. that was actually a tragic story. after watching her bio on the investigation discovery channel i did not HATE her. i actually felt bad for her in a way. JA - I do not feel the slightest pang of sorry for her.

That would be a huge mistake. It was already bad enough using it in the case. JM talked a lot about ALV and Dr. Dick and the fact that they're hacks and liars. Its going to sound completely ridiculous if Nurmi tries to bring them up as people who back Jodi up. JM knew what he was doing.

Also bringing up more elements of premeditation?! Between the lies about the reason for driving to Redding to rent the car (with the Well Fargo bank statement evidence) and the bringing of the CD's with her on the trip (along with many many other elements), the jury would be fools to ignore all of this!

Bet Stabby is regretting using the gun after hearing what a felony murder entails. I have to say, I am grateful JM explained it to the jurors. I was a little confused. I also thought the judge was looking a little pissed off at him for going over the instructions. Anyone else feel the same about her? Is she pro-defense? Or, just thinking of covering her ass with respect to the up coming appeals.

I agree completely. She needs to be on death row in isolation with no privileges, and no interactions with others. Eating every meal alone. Spending all her time alone. Alone with only herself. She is so empty, so blank, so inhuman, that with nobody to attach to, or mirror, or steal an identity from, she will be lost. All alone with the nothingness that is Jodi. There could be no harsher or more fitting punishment.

So for me, if she is on death row, I don't care if she drags her appeals out for 40 years, so long as during those 40 years she is in solitary confinement on death row.

I also wouldn't have a problem if she was sentenced to death but was never put to the death by the state and died on her own inside her death row cell, but I'm not a tax paying citizen of AZ, otherwise I might. I read in the beginning of this that the state of AZ has only one lethal injection shot left and like 100+ on death row, so she very well may never be put to death even if sentenced to it.

Hi folks, sorry I missed watching this live with you all today, but I've enjoyed reading the commentary and will be sitting down with a nice glass of wine to watch Juan's closing in its entirety tonight.

Throughout the trial, when Juan seemed to be unwilling to let go on "minor" points, the reason he was forcing each person on the stand to give him specific answers was so he could build the wonderful story that he did in his closing.

I pray this jury sends her away.

No, I didn't get that feeling. It's not uncommon for the lawyers to go over the rules with the jury, and how they might apply them to the case. The judge is pro-justice. She oversees both the state and defense teams, and remains unbiased. Her job is to keep order and rule on any issues that are brought up.....make sure that the law is being adhered to.

That is good to know. I do understand she gave the defense more leeway trying to prevent an overturn of sentencing on appeal. I wonder now how long that will take to get through that process. I read that it goes to the State of Arizona first and then to what..the Supreme Court of Az?
