JUAN COMPLETES HIS CLOSING ARGUMENT............AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!!! *ROOOOOOAR!!!!!!![]()
I think the only way we will see real tears from Jodi is if she is sentenced to death. Anything else, and I believe she won't break down. If she has any real belief in the afterlife -- aside from her phony Mormon act -- I think death is the only thing she fears because, well, the idea of eternal damnation and hell would probably do that to a person.
I'm sure she would love to walk free, but I don't think she's had it so bad in jail. Prison will be tougher for sure, but she would still have friends/family visits, tv and library privileges, her ability to make her little drawings. And, most importantly, she will retain her fans who will look at her as a martyr; and she will no doubt have friends in prison, other criminals who are sympathetic to her; other people she can manipulate.
"Well, it's YOUR fog..." - J. Martinez
I have been watching trials for about 25 years, or so. This is one of the best prosecutions that I have ever seen. He did an EXCELLENT job, and his explanations of murder in the 1st, and what they need to find, was in a language that anyone could understand. I am confident that there won't be any doubt in their minds as to what points they must find or agree on. Nicely done, JM! God, I wish I knew where to get an autographed portrait of my hero! As to the defense, they look deflated. With good reason. Not so many smirks and smiles today, huh, Jodi??!!
I think you're exactly right. Nurmi appears to have done so a long time ago and became resigned to the fact that she was his fuck-up cross to bear. Willmott? She's just now coming around.

The explanation of how triple-killing someone = premeditation really hit it home, at least in my opinion. I guess that was a result of my own flawed understanding of the term. The difference in demeanor and presentation on the part of Martinez was incredible and effective (granted, I'm a fangirl and want to carry him around in my pocket).
I feel much better about this than I did this morning.
JW looked absolutely defeated. Thought the murderess was actually gonna cry after the jury left. She and her "team" know they're screwed. Bye bye Jodi, hello needle.
Juan was amazingly amazing!Brilliant, powerful closing.
God bless the Alexanders, this was an extremely emotional day for them.
Maybe it is a good sign, but someone by the name of Travis is going to lease my property!!
And I just have to say it....

Were you crying when you were stabbing him? --SuperJuan Martinez
Nobody believes a word out of your mouth. Why do you keep talking? -- ABC Interviewer to JA

Of all the days I miss the most of!I managed to catch 20 min a few hours ago, including some highlights on HLN and the last half hour. It made me love this man even more. Juan was fantastic. An absolute legend in my eyes.

Immensely written Metis. And chillingly accurate.
Applauding here too ladies! Then to see Travis all smiley and alive, and picturing the image Juan put on screen, I was, and still am, so choked.
This family have to be living on their last nerve, may the get the justice they deserve. I BELIEVE 100% they will.
So either way, if Travis had a gun or didn't have one, she is screwed. I think she realized that as JM was reading the juror instructions.
not an exact quote but classic: "call me crazy but if someone comes in my house and starts to stab me they are no longer welcome"
