I can't believe he did this without notes. Nurmi closing is going to make my ears bleed? He's so slow......ugh!.... At least valley girl Jen has some speed to her! Neither have a soul. Jodi reminds me of someone.....Take it home JuanMartinez!!!!

    GO MARTINEZ!!

(sorry I've already had a few Sea Breezes already)
I think when Juan resumes his closing arguments it will be tough for the family when he describes the murder.
One thing that drew me to this.case was him, his zeal and passion for the victim and his utter contempt for the murderess. I see him as a champion for justice as a part of his being. He is charismatic not in a physical manner but
in an intellectual way .... can't express it properly but he is an eloquent advocate for the victims on whose behalf he pursues justice .....

You've probably noticed Arias wears loose tops in court.

She needs room underneath her shirts for a stun belt with 50,000 to 70,000 volts.

"The deputy in the court room has the ability to hit a switch and that in essence tase the inmate," Jones said.

Arias also wears a leg brace that prevents inmates from running.

Great info from that link Booya!

She is pathetic. And so are her attorneys. I agree with a fair trial, I understand that she needs defense attorneys, but these bottom dwellers take it to a completely unjust place when they willingly lie and encourage her lies. Where is the justice in that??? They have sold their souls for a "win" at any price. They are not supporting truth and justice. They are lying to the court and to the jurors. They make me sick.
The Prosecution also exaggerated, or lied, or typo'd, or fluffed parts of their case. It's what attorneys do. They take what they have and make an argument. Both sides are using whatever tricks they can.

Sadly, that makes me discount if this crap is even coming from YOU.....and it's not anything I can respect, no matter.
My comment was that Jodi was using the "back" button on the web browser to go back one page. The "backspace" button would not take her back to a previous website where a boyfriend was checking email, unless maybe you had some wacky keyboard shortcuts. My point is that it is imprecise language and an unimpressive angle for a closing argument. I expected so much more from Martinez in his closing, and throughout this case. He continues to make it look harder than it is to put her away.

I hold The State to a higher standard. You expect criminals to lie. But I don't expect a medical examiner to make a critical contradiction in a sworn report in a death penalty case and call it a typo. I don't expect a detective to change his ideas to get in line with a lawyer. That is disappointing. I hate Martinez's style, I hope that's obvious. I just imagine how much better I would be doing this. Juan's presonality is repulsive (angry, resentful, mistrustful, loud, volatile) which makes it much harder to follow his arguments and support his ideas. He is always angry. He might get a conviction but it will be from the evidence (excellent) and not what he has done with it (adequate at best).

If you click on a page and hit backspace it is going to take you back a page unless that page was closed. If thats the case you need to reopen previous session then you can do it. Same as you would need to hit the back button. So either way it doesnt really make much difference which way he said it.

When is court coming back? I forgot it was closing arguments today and just tuned in to the seal, so I figure they're on lunch.

I feel the same way but have not been able to articulate it, so thank you. I trust that this Prosecutor has a feel for the jury, and he is speaking directly to them from the heart. It has served him well in the past, and it certainly works for me. He has every reason to feel righteous indignation, and I believe he and the family of TA will prevail with justice. I can't come up with any real criticism for a seasoned Prosecutor with his record. He hates Stabby more than we do, and it shows.

Does anyone remember the man's name from Monterey, who said Jodi used to sit next to him at a bar, and that she asked to borrow money from him June 3rd (the Wash Mutual deposits) "BECAUSE SHE NEEDED TO HURRY TO GET TO TRAVIS?" !!!!!!! I think he was on NG. Seems he would've been a good witness for pre-meditation since she insists she had no plans to see Travis until Pasadena...

Nope, feeling like I might shit myself. Seriously though. My stomach is in knots. I'm worried she is going to get off on a lesser charge. I have a horrible feeling about this. Idk why????

Yeah he worded it correctly. You can hit "backspace" on the keyboard and it'll absolutely to the last page.

I see Juan's methods as "Professional as FUCK". (no offense) He [I]seems[I] angry, but as soon as there is an objection, or passing papers marked as evidence back and forth, he maintains his composure. He keeps it professional, yet on the verge of teetering on a perceived edge. I'm sure intimidation is a useful tool for him to utilize during his difficult task of questioning. It's a style he's taken on over the lengthy experience he's put into his career.

I don't think he's very personable. He's not in it to make friends. He's not aware, or he doesn't care, about any ego, what-so-ever. He's in it strictly to play this game, and win. This game, with a referee called a judge, and two teams, the defense and the prosecution. Team Travis and Team Jodi. They pass the ball back and forth and call fouls and time-outs, just like any other league of game-players. The verdict has nothing to do with justice, or morals - it can't. That's not how it's set up. It's set up to award the team who played the game better. It's sad, but that is just how I see it. I hope Team Travis wins, and I believe they have a good chance, since our star-player, Juan Martinez, keeps it "Professional as FUCK" and plays by all the rules. Respect.

Now I would pay good money to see that. I hope to see a glimpse of fear on her face just once. Anything but her smirks, eyerolls, fake crying, giggling, whispering, staring. I am so sick of her face and her behavior that I can't even look at her without feeling rage. I again state that TA's family has more grace and dignity than I could even imagine possessing in this situation. I can't even imagine what they are feeling, not even close.

JM got her to say she returned it to the same store when he asked if she would surprised if that store had NO record of a gas can being returned that day or during the following week, she said she would be very surprised because she returned it and got a refund in cash.

She turned and looked directly at the jury when she said it.

Why? They smirks, shrug, head shake, smile, giggle and Nurmi has even laughed at stuff he disagreed with. Willmott's big dramatic theatrical sighs when she was at the podium questining witnesses anf foot stomping was ridiculous.

No one on the defense team , including Disco Donna, has any sense of court room decorum.

I think I'm more nervous than she is! I am just scared that there will be an idiot on the jury who will eff everything up. Please, don't let that happen.
Think Bizarro World, just like than Seinfeld episode.
I have faith in this jury due to the questions that have been asked. Hope they prove me right and do the right thing, Premeditated M1

No they can't. They're not allowed to give her food at all. They can visit her in her holding cell or an attorney client meeting room but they can't bring food in.

Possibly but I doubt she listens to them. They do her bidding, not the other way around. Nurmi proved that when he abused Deanna Reid while she was on the stand.
