Quite simply, the Medical Examiner must get it right. He owes it to the court, the state, and the people. And to Jodi. He works for us. The Prosecutor needs to have one story and stick to it. End of discussion. They are "the good guys". The honest people who seek justice.

Not the careless halfwits who forgot to check their work, and didn't notice a mistake until it became a critical argument in the trial. Now it's a typo, now that it helps the defense? Sloppy work at best, prosecutorial misconduct at best. Possible grounds for appeal.

Can the jury trust someone who does not check his work, makes mistakes, and changes his story to Flores and the court? Today might have been the best day for the defense so far.

I get it, you're right about that. Sorry if I minimized your concerns btw. I dismissed them looking at the whole picture, but they are valid for that particular piece of the puzzle. Your concerns are always valid. You are the thermometer that keeps us all in check when the rest of us get too hot.

Okay, what do you think this juror question indicated?

Their whole spiel has been "this guy has done 6000 autopsies, THAT is what makes him sooo qualified to declare for sure, 100% certain what TA's brain function would have been after that GSW. My point (and that juror's, it seems) is that doing autopsies does not qualify this guy to make that judgement. No one's been talking about what experience he had in med school or residency.

One does not go from med school and residency to being appointed a medical examiner. ME is not a specialty that someone can study for. It is because of his experience and knowledge and standing in the medical community and his peers and superiors that he was appointed to the position.

I think I love this witness the best. I've only caught a few minutes of her testimony and she could be a quack, but her "I'm sorry" when she wants JW to repeat a question is endearing to a Cincinnati-an. I'm a transplant here, but she makes me feel at home. I promise I'll post something more substantive later, but just had to say this.

You did; she is tall and had on super high red wedge shoes. Deanna sat next to Tanisha. I got in after lunch, they let in 22 and my friend would not go first, so I did then we switched at recess; then I went in after next break and we left at 5 as they cleared the waiting area and I had to drive her home. Though once I left I saw the entire back row on the gallery side was empty and inquired, it was reserved for press. geez. all those people were turned away.
It is hard to describe being there. And watching the jury. It could be one of those Wal-Mart emails. eclectic. Jodi was really staring around the room. during recess she turned to her gallery and looked it over. I caught her eye and I lost the stare down it was too creepy! I wish I had hung in. I was behind granny in a chair in the aisle next to a woman from NM (not Batman, she was here for a conference tomorrow) in yellow shirt. Second row, fantastic seat!
