As for being a waitress, it is employment. I did this work part time for a while when studying at university. It was the hardest physical work I have ever done in my life. Arias does seem to have worked consistently from a young age. Multiple jobs too. Despite that, she has often been criticised over work. I must have missed the many gaps. Has anyone posted a CV for her? I am interested in the perception and the reality. There are many valid reasons for being scathing of Arias. Is her work one?
I don't think anyone is criticizing her being a waitress. I protest the fact that media portray her as an "aspiring photographer" or "professional photographer" . I didn't see anyone disparaging waitressing. I don't even know if Stabby was a good one, I don't care. she was NOT a professional photographer. she was a waitress with a nice camera. period.

In reality this case has no magnitude. Some crazy chick stabbed her boyfriend. It's nothing that will change law, or society, or set a precedent.

It's big news on HLN but has no legal significance.

I am surprised that they assigned this case to a judge who could not devote her time mainly to this case, and this case only. By what others have said, she has other cases going on. This case screamed for full-time attention.

I loved Dr. G's explanation of Jodi's low scores on the aggressiveness scales: "This indicates a submissive personality but the person may still act aggressively at times"...well yeah, there was that one little incident I seem to recall...

IMO, just that we can share our opinions and theories in this forum is awesome. Even more incredible, is that a case like this can bring many ordinary people (like us) together for other good things. Maybe supporting a DV shelter, volunteering time, or even giving a little cash to the Alexander family.... This is what is important.

Not trying to soapbox here, but that is Travis' legacy.... Remember what he wrote in his blog the year he died: Something like "love more, give more, learn more, etc"

That is what we get to do. That is pretty fucking cool, if you ask me and most of us would never know if it weren't for this case.

Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent and I do respect all of the opinions in this forum.
It has been wonderful to be surrounded by the good ppl in here that have come to love Travis and his family and friends. We are unified in helping them, whether it be money, or prayers, or what ever. I have grown myself to care for this family and friends from reading all Travis wrote, videos, and friend's stories. Not one has spoken a bad word about this man. That speaks VOLUMES about his the kind of person he REALLY was. Not the one portrayed via Stabby's lies in this trial. Unfortunatly Travis is gone but he has left us with some wonderful speeches, written words, and the stories from friends. They have brought to us the real Travis. He has touched more lives than he ever could have imagined, all over the world. And it is such a great example to us to help others, and to try to be a good person like him (minus the JA attraction.... blach!)

These people, even thought I've never met them, I feel like I know them. And everyone here feels the same way. We will all celebrate when sentencing comes down. Celebrating for Travis and his family and friends that justice has been carried out. It's a commarady here and it's why it's an appealing place to go. We will all feel the emotion of that moment we have been waiting for for 5 years!

    Sorry for the sappy today.

Well so much for Judge Stephens' stern "be back promptly at 1:20".......so even when she tries to show that she has the court under control...its totally outta control....guarantee closing statements do NOT start tomorrow and testimony will continue

EXACTLY! It's stressful. Time consuming with all the meeting in judge's chambers.... Crazy!
So that's why there are so many days off between trial dates?? Putting a newbie DP judge/distracted by other cases should not do a trial of this magnatude. And I question a newbie. This isn't the right case for her at this time. She's overly cautious which is slightly ok for appealate reasons. Just hope she stands her ground and will tell Jen when to shut up! It's about time for cross. And Juan's witness!

She's pretty sure they've had their "ups and downs". I read that and was instantly angry. Yes, Stabby deserves a fair trial, she's getting one with well over a million dollars spent on her defense alone. But to compare the Alexanders loss with what she spoke of in that letter is just beyond the pale!

I have to stick up for Judge Stephens on this point. Her court days/hours are limited by the budget of the court. This schedule is the same for all cases.

^That. I do hold her accountable for what happens while court is in session and for not making witnesses and both sides toe the line. The defense though has been the most egregious offender. Jenny had Alyce up there for seven fucking days!

I think it was a culmination of everything. She hacked his social media accounts, she slashed his tires, she slashed Lisa Andrews' tires, she set the Whoredoms letter to Lisa Andrews, she snooped through his phone and possibly sent herself texts pretending to be him, she sent texts from his phone to at least one other woman pretending to be him, she hacked his email and forwarded emails to him from other women to herself, she hacked his blog and stole pages from his book, she more than likely hacked his bank accounts, she peeped in his windows, she hid in his closet, she followed him on dates with other women. I'm sure there is more but really...isn't that enough?

Sadly he wasn't, because he let her into his house that night or at least didn't throw her out once she was there.

Wonder how much she got off of old Gus Searcy? We know she at minimum got a phone off of him

    I think she's an aunt.

Geffner reviewed 4 psychological tests conducted on Arias and rescored 2 of them. He did not speak to Arias nor did he review the police reports but he did review DeMarte's report. #JodiArias
Just the ones that the defense doesn't agree with. How convenient

Jenn just can't shut the fuck up! I hope Stephens tells her that her time is up. Otherwise this bitch will take the entire day running the clock down so Juan can't get his witness OR cross in. Sucks

Technically, you're mostly correct. But, let's say for the sake of argument that the jury would buy this PTSD b.s., or even some of the DV. I think we would see a big up-spike in the number of defendants on trial claiming "oh I just can't remember, but I know he/she drove me to it." It's like a new take on the "insanity" defense, without actually having to prove mental deficiency.

No, it's not like Jodi was the first one to claim this, by far I'm sure. But, if it was successful enough to even get her manslaughter or murder 2, I expect that would have a big impact on future cases.

Personally, I have to think -- or at least hope -- at this point, this jury is not buying it. But, none of us really knows. So, I think it could set somewhat of a precedent for "foggy memory murder" brought on by alleged abuse.

How is talking about ALV part of the scope of rebuttal?

ETA: the questions JW is asking him sound like she's getting things out of the way before JM crosses. I hope she's wrapping up.
