It certainly would not have hurt. But I think the prosecution has done enough even without it.

    Good point.

The above information I provide is from a doctorate level neuroscience course taken in 2005 at Columbia University. You wont be able to google it.

I haven't heard one Medical examiner say that Travis most likely was able to walk around after such a wound. If the defense could have found one that would say that, I would think that they would have propped the guy up on the witness stand and had him say it. 50/50 Coconut?! Naw! No way. Like Phineas, it would have been a miracle. You can't allow for miracles when deciding reasonable doubt.
    Exactly! Well said.

I agree, that was a great juror question. Plus, it also shows that at least that juror has not been misled by all the defense smoke and mirrors, they remember what was said a month or two back, even the details.

I had not even thought of that (since I live somewhere less hot), but that is an excellent point. Plus, the attic was not 'finished' with a floor, it was just beams and, presumably, insulation. So to store anything you would have to balance it on the beams. Travis appeared to have a tidy house that was not so stuffed full of possessions that he would be needing to use every possible inch of storage space to accommodate his vast collection of Christmas decor.

Yes! That is the chain, from start to finish.

    Jodi's Interrogation Fantasy

Part 1 (phone call): Um hi Detective, this is Jodi. I just wanted to leave you a message and tell you what a great job you're doing. Travis was really special to me, I was like the #1 girlfriend, and I'm sure you are going to find whoever did this. I'm going to text you some pics of me so you can add me on your contact list. Let me know if you're ever in the area and we can go to an art festival and drink smoothies and stuff. Luv ya hon! Byyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeee!

Part 2 (Flores knocks on the door at Granny's house in Yreka): Esteban, wow, you are even cuter in person! Come in, I am making root beer floats in the kitchen! Then we can have our little interview in private my bedroom. Don't worry, my grandparents won't hear anything our fertile imaginations can dream up! How did you get such big muscles? I have some reciepts for you too, don't let me forget.

Wasn't that a great root beer float? Come with me to the bedroom, I'm going to do a little fashion show for you. Let me just change in to my Travis undies, no it's fine, you can watch! I have a little sex tape we can listen to, it will prove how much I love Travis. If you want to be sure it's actually me I can prove it by showing you my moves! Ever hear of The Provo Push? Oh look, I found some little bits of paper right here in my stack of lacy bras and panties. You can read these reciepts while I give you a lap dance. California, Nevada, Utah, California. Nothing from Arizona, not one! Look at my phone, no calls either. I know, I know, case closed! But thanks so much for stopping by. Do you want to take a shower together? Detective, wait, where are you going?

    NENNO v. STATE
The question about appellant's statement was not designed to show the truth of the statement contained in the document but to impeach Dr. Geffner by attacking the basis for his opinion. The State wanted to undermine Dr. Geffner's opinion by showing that he relied upon specific statements made by appellant to formulate that opinion despite other information (upon which he also claims to have relied) that showed appellant telling a different story.

All excellent ideas! And I'm going to put a slug in his shoe during the night.

Waking up and slipping your bare foot into a shoe containing a huge banana slug is very.... squooshy. I did it to an older girl at camp who was tormenting me.

Shouldn't that be in the fan fiction thread?

Should we start a Jury Watch/Verdict Thread for guesses on how long jury will deliberate and what the verdict will be?

Does anyone know how to make one of those bar charts with the results of a poll? I have seen them on other sites.

    3. On her way to Travis's house that night.... she never used her phone. When I have been on a long trip in the past (even not so long) I normally call the person and say "i'm only about a mile away I'll see you in a few minutes".

Jodi is a phone talking monger. I would think that would be a major priority for her. Just pondering some things
Absolutely! a phone MONGER! and just for the record, there are like a HUNDRED gas stations along the route she was taking... this whole afraid to run out of gas thing is just bizarre and whackydoodle from the get-go... driving around with 10 or 15 gallons of gas in the trunk. the stench would be overwhelming. and the saving money part of having gas along so as not to have to purchase the spendy California stuff. please. she bought gas IN California, so that shit stinks too... she is really just a shitty liar. period. the fact that she has a million of those lies should just make this easy for the jury, god I hope and pray they have some common freaking sense....

The shelf above appears to have the pins about 1" in from the edge. In order for it to tip over, the tip of the foot would have to be just on the edge. The further in the foot is, the less likely it is to tip. If the foot is a few inches in from the edge, there is no way it will tip forward. The heel doesn't have to be over the pin either. It would most likely come crashing straight down from the weight as the pins would give way. However, if you distribute your weight between it and one you have your hand on, reach up and grab something off a higher shelf, you will only be on ift for a split second and your momentum going up will lessen the load on the shelves. If the pin was 4 inches in from the front, it would be a different story.

The palm of the hand in the picture is placed on the very edge, pushing at an angel to best make the shelf tip. Couldn't be any more blatant.
I don't normally post on the weekends, and I don't normally feed trolls, but I will at this point.

Biggie, allow me to give YOU a lesson on LISTENING and RECALL. Jodi testified that she just put the tip of her foot on the edge of the shelf and with one hand gripped the edge of one shelf while reaching up and grabbing the gun with the other. I imagine her reasoning for playing her favorite game of "just the tip" would be to explain the lack of disturbance to any of the items on the shelf SHE testified to using for her aly-oop.

I might have occasion to believe this fairytale if Jodi was in fact the prodigy spawn of Nightcrawler from the X-Men and a world famous Parcour expert. But what we have is someone who can't take dishes from the dishwasher without slicing up her fingers. So pushing at 'angel's or not, your argument is invalid. And not just because we hate you.

He immediately went down to the floor, unable to get up. He didn't say anything until after surgery a few hours later. Mind you we all wanted to know how he got that gun and many asked, but no answer. In this case, the bullet didnt travel through the frontal lobe, but just having the skull fracture and shock wave was enough to drop him to the floor!

Didn't Horne say that the impact of the projectile would be immediately incapacitating? I don't know about the rest of you in here but that sounds like he would have gone down right away. I know what it feels like to have a concussion and a projectile hitting you at 700ft per second to me would be far worse. When i played football in high school, i was hit so hard that i was in a daze for quite a few minutes, couldn't talk, couldn't think...I was conscious but could not do a thing. i don't think for a second that Travis could think or say anything after impact for at least a little longer than that so getting up and running around chasing her and yelling fucking kill you bitch for 2 minutes is hogwash. IMO

I was skimming through WS and I saw a comment that the prosecution's psychiatrist had brought out that Jodi did buy the "Travis Alexander t-shirt" and panties herself as well as the spidey undies? Can anyone point me to where this testimony is?

Right, like the court files are junk, Flores reports and police files, you'd never read those right?
Better watch out for those damn youtubes, probably doctored court days and JA is really innocent.
Supreme Court is messing with you too publishing their rulings.

What disturbs me most is his back/ head area. It looks like some kind of demon jumped on his back and went crazy. She must have stomped on his legs and ankles too. Probably kicking him while he was down. So terrifyingly brutal. Beyond evil.

That has always bothered me, that over 2 dozen other injuries were almost forgotten about or not figured in equations (like the drag pic). Only the 3 majors were argued all the time. But, he had 2 stabs to his head that were 2" and chipped his skull. Another behind the right ear (where the drag pic blood is) and forehead and r and left neck stabs (not including throat slit) that some went into muscles. And minus the vena cava, he had other frontal wounds.

JM will probably bring the back into focus especially during the cruelty aggravation phrase.

Coconut is gonna have a fun camping session!
    You guys!!! Poor Coconut!

Can't we just get him really drunk and shave one eyebrow?

Bwahaha! Spot on Coconut! I think this is exactly what went down! After all, Flores has seen 'ALL OF HER'! Poor guy! All in the line of duty! Eeeeeww!

Bwahaha! Between 3 and 5, depending on 'hair wash' day at Arpaio's jail! The shampoo is probably pink as well!

In the jury instructions that trial courts must give in every criminal case in AZ, proof beyond a reasonable doubt is not proof that overcomes every doubt, as you say, but it goes on to say 'the proof must leave you firmly convinced of the defendant's guilt' (or in the case of justifiable homicide on the grounds of self-defense, 'firmly convinced' the defendant did NOT act with justification).

Dr. Horne's testimony did not leave me 'firmly convinced'...if anything, he raised more questions and confusion than existed after his initial testimony. JMO.
So are you not convinced that Jodi murdered Travis, or are you not convinced that she wasn't justified in doing so?

    NENNO v. STATE
The question about appellant's statement was not designed to show the truth of the statement contained in the document but to impeach Dr. Geffner by attacking the basis for his opinion. The State wanted to undermine Dr. Geffner's opinion by showing that he relied upon specific statements made by appellant to formulate that opinion despite other information (upon which he also claims to have relied) that showed appellant telling a different story.

7 yr old kidnapped, raped, strangled and Nenno raped her little dead body for 2 days

Did you even read this? I did. On a mission to burn Geffner at the stake, eh?

He most likely would have been talking gobbity gook if at all.

The above information I provide is from a doctorate level neuroscience course taken in 2005 at Columbia University. You wont be able to google it.

In this case, the bullet didnt travel through the frontal lobe, but just having the skull fracture and shock wave was enough to drop him to the floor!
Yep. I've always thought the gunshot was the coup de gras .... and also the best evidence that she was not going to leave him alive.

For the defense: If the gunshot comes last in the sequence of attack, then Travis is mortally wounded on the ground when she retrieves her grandfather's gun, stood over him, and shoots him in the head...

    Which is premeditated.

That's why the DT fights so hard to make the gunshot the first attack wound.
