    3) Gus buys her new phone.
    4) she cuts fingers at work somehow, and takes pictures of said cut on MAY 31 with said phone. Her defense introduced that evidence AFTER she says on stand she LOST that phone. clearly they pay attention to what stabby said. doh!
    5) she is arrested. relative finds that phone some TWO years later, conveniently that is just about the time the NEW story comes out of her mouth.

I realize I am way behind (trying to catch up!) I think that possibly the phone had been turned off amd hidden by Jodi, someone in the house locates it and turns it on to see what she was hiding. The phone uses data on her phone bill thus alerting authorities. Maybe police notified someone that they see the phone was used, and since Jodi had already been arrested, they knew someone else had it. Prob told family that if they find them lying or in posession of said phone there would be charges....just a thought!

I was/am confused about the whole Phone stuff....so, WHEN did jodi get the phone from Gus?? Do you remember/know which of her blathering days this testimony would have been?

Dr. Horne's testimony did not leave me 'firmly convinced'...if anything, he raised more questions and confusion than existed after his initial testimony. JMO.

We are so far part first, second seq. That was introduced for JAs self defense story. Problem is, the jury can see now, the prolific liar, lied directly to them!
They have no reason left to believe her after that.

We are down to the basic questions the jury will have to answer
    Def -Was it self defense
State -Was the murder she admitted to premeditated.

To even have a 'reasonable doubt' they would have to believe JA. Fat chance imo. She looked them right in the eyes during her testimony ... and lied to this jury. Even if there was one person doubting she wasn't lying before, here is no doubt she would is still lying directly to them. It has been proven with Walmart, and the hair, she turned, looked them in the eyes and lied to them.

So, even if one were to have an tad of wonder about the ME, they still can't get past JA is a prolific liar. It isn't about the ME even if you doubt a tad of him, there can be no doubt ...

TA fought for his life (made it up the hall and def wounds)
    JA had no injuries
The is no doubt he was shot regardless of what seq it was in
    Tavis is dead

Course there is always a liar's "fog" story. But 'why should they believe her now"? :)

Jodi's story can not be disproven on the basis of how much the gunshot would have incapacitated Travis if it happened first. But Jodi's scenario can be disproven other ways from the forensic evidence. Why not focus on those Juan??? Probably because they did a very average job at the crime scene and did not realize how important the wound sequence would become until Jodi got creative.

The Prosecution should have used other methods, based on the actual evidence, to demonstrate their sequence of events was the only possible scenario. I think a spatial model of where the shooter would have been in relation to the target given the lack of contact injury, bullet trajectory, etc would have been a massive help.
JA's story is disproven by shown she is a liar. It was one thing to claim she lied before, but they now know she lied directly to them.
The prosecution didn't need to get all TV CSI on it, they had better evidence - the liar herself lying to the jury.

Agreed, a gunshot is a small wound going in and unless it exits, there would be very little blood.
I'll be in Dallas Mon-Thurs the week of the 6th. If they haven't come back with a verdict by EOD Thursday, I will seriously consider heading back to Phoenix to join you all!

Liar liar pants on fire! I agree WT, she has been proven to even lie to the jury on the stand. The premeditation has been proven to us, I just hope it has to the jury. Their questions have certainly led me to believe they aren't buying the SD theory either. BWS, well, we can thank ALV for her testimony on that one, I think Juan did a pretty good job of discrediting her. The new DR coming in can try to disprove Dr DeMarte's testimony, and might have a shred of hope in doing so since he has credentials that make her look like an amateur. It all stems back to the lies lies lies. All defensive testimony has been based on them so it's a shot in the dark at best.

Well, I will be hoping that happens for you. Would be a great time since we have all put so much time into following this case and trial.

My wife who was a neurosurgeon for many years has told me DR Horn would be right that the gunshot to the head would have had to come last because even after several days you would still be able to see a large amount of blood from the bullet traveling through the skull unless the throat was cut already or the person was deceased already and the heart had already quit beating.
She told me even after several days a pathologist would be able to tell the difference between blood accumulation in the skull and the brain it's self.
My wife also said that by being shot in the head where Travis was shot that it would not have been possible for him to have said kill you bitch either.
Like DR Horn said the shock wave from the bullet would incapacitate him as well especially in the immediate time after the bullet traveled through the skull.
The bullet would have hit the frontal lobe of the brain in order for it to have traveled where it was in the upper cheek.
She told me it is possible he could have maybe stood up after a bit of time but not have been able to speak or chase anyone or function normally.
The fact DR Horn said there was little to know bleeding in the brain cavity or the bullet tract within the cheek shows he was already dead from the throat slashing or his heart had already quit bleeding from lose of blood.

Kiss your wife for me! Here is another story to beat this dead horse. A patient shot himself in the temple with .22 while hospitalized on an inpatient psychiatric unit. His family brought him the gun because he said certain people on the unit were out to get him! The bullet pierced the skull above the temple and stopped on the other side of the bone. He immediately went down to the floor, unable to get up. He didn't say anything until after surgery a few hours later. Mind you we all wanted to know how he got that gun and many asked, but no answer. In this case, the bullet didnt travel through the frontal lobe, but just having the skull fracture and shock wave was enough to drop him to the floor!

Einstein with her background in waitressing and bartending couldn't tell if he was dead or not.

Zzzzzactly Was! Her story is out the window. Debating the bullet trajectory is like shoving the cat back into the bag. They can't trust anything she's said now. Her story is kaput. She lied to them. Not once, but over and over again. THIS is the problem she faces. THIS is what will hang her. Her lying lie-hole is all that matters now. If I were a juror, I wouldn't even have any questions at this point. However, it seems their questions are directed towards her lies. Seems they're just racking and stacking her lies out of curiosity rather than questioning the witness's testimony. This sur-rebuttal is going to look really desperate. They obviously didn't trust the first two psychologist/psychotherapists, why on EARTH would they trust one more witness that has been fed Jodi's lies? All this will do is inflame the jury. I'm curious what the questions will be for this witness- if they'll have any at all. I'm betting there will be very few questions from the jury. I do believe the end is nigh.

As for Alyce, when she said; "If Jodi was a really good liar, she'd have thought up a really good lie." Well Alyce, turns out she's not a very good liar, but a big fat liar nonetheless.

It is sad that no one will ever know the truth.

I think they announce that there is a verdict and give a time for everyone (attorneys, families, etc.) to be at the courthouse. I don't think this will be a long deliberation at all. I think that we will have a verdict by late Monday/early Tuesday.
I agree. A friend of mine was shot in the head in Iraq. He said he immediately dropped to the ground. He couldn't talk for a week afterward. Those near him kept him sitting up and conscious because they didn't want him to go into shock, even though he said he just wanted to lay down and not move. I can't imagine Travis screaming vulgarities and pawing at her, unless he was begging for help. And yes, I think she said those words to him.

Why was the police video of the skank saying TA "didn't own a gun, only had his two fists" not shown to the jury?

Credentials mean little... We saw AVL had 'credentials' coming in. Samuals had credentials coming in. We saw how well those credentials held up in the teeth of bull dog Martinez. They could bring in 10 Goofner's it won't help any more than the two that came before him. This guy's history shows he hasn't been any more 'credible' in trying to support killers with psychofogs than they were. He might as well come in a tutu and ballerina slippers (Dying Swam). He could spew with the cadence of a rapper, he is still representing a liar and the jury knows this.

After she slit his throat, severing his airway, right jugular vein and right carotid artery, he was dead. I think she shot him because his body made some noise, possibly air escaping his lungs. At that point she was probably wondering what it would take to finally finish him off.

Here's another question for those in the camp buying the she shot him first camp (not saying you buy her whole story). If she shot him first, as she claims, why then did she not leave the house? The jury will be asking themselves that question, he was no threat to her if she shot him first. Stabby wants to have her Tootsie Roll and eat it too .

If you can't believe a portion of story then you can't believe any of it. She straight up lied to the jury, with a straight face. Just like she's lied all along.

    Great questions about the attic!

She returned the rental car late. She went directly to Yreka after returning from Utah because she had to work. The following day she returned the rental and btw, it had no gas in it. She had the pay the penalty fee for returning it empty. JM accounted for all three gas cans although Stabby stuck doggedly to her lie while on the stand.

Maybe police notified someone that they see the phone was used, and since Jodi had already been arrested, they knew someone else had it. Prob told family that if they find them lying or in possession of said phone there would be charges....just a thought!
Stabby's Aunt Sue helpful located the Helio phone hidden the Grandparents truck. She hid it so well it took two years to find it. Reminiscent of how well she hid the 9mm gun she bought in the rental car shortly before the police arrested her. I don't think she wanted that phone found based on the selfie pics we saw after she dyed her hair.

As for Alyce, when she said; "If Jodi was a really good liar, she'd have thought up a really good lie." Well Alyce, turns out she's not a very good liar, but a big fat liar nonetheless.
lying lie-hole Some of this is actually comical. Busted lying Alyce the judge of 'good' lies. okaaay Alyce. Maybe Geffner can have Alyce return the favor and do some editing for him.

    NENNO v. STATE
The question about appellant's statement was not designed to show the truth of the statement contained in the document but to impeach Dr. Geffner by attacking the basis for his opinion. The State wanted to undermine Dr. Geffner's opinion by showing that he relied upon specific statements made by appellant to formulate that opinion despite other information (upon which he also claims to have relied) that showed appellant telling a different story.

That was a phone interview with Flores and it was played for the jury.

If Jodi's lips are moving she is either lying or performing the sexual favor that she has perfected .....and poor coconut has been sucked into her matrix hole. Eww..... Jodi sucks both literally and figuratively. Think I'll go outside and play in the garden now

Unless it's a head wound. Head wounds BLEED a lot!

Coconut's bed will be the first to be short sheeted and filled with corn flakes!

Yes! I remember seeing Donavan lumber out of the courtroom quickly when that came out! She probably hadn't moved THAT fast since running from the fire she lit at that Dentist's office back in the day.

Head wounds bleed like stuck pigs. I had a severe cut to my head that needed stitches a few years ago. I remember sitting there, holding a bloody towel to my head thinking, 'Geez... how much blood can I lose before passing out?' And that twas merely a flesh wound. A bullet through the skull would REALLY bleed. A lot of blood is sent to the head because the human brain is so large and needs so much energy. Also, the skin on the head is a little on the thin side, so a lot of blood can force it's way out of a comparatively thin cut, since there's very little intervening dermis and hypo-dermis.

Can we freeze coconut's underwear too??? Oh, the precious memories of summer camp. Good times.....

That was Einstein Willmott's question .. "but don't head wounds bleed a lot?"
wasn't it nice of Willmott to highlight for the jurors killers story makes no sense since there is little blood where she claims she shot him. Nice work giggles! Sit down! The jurors have a question paraphased "wouldn't there be a lot of blood in the middle of the bathroom"

    1. If Jodi was so worried about being alone on the road and had to take gas cans... don't you think she would make sure her phone was connected and at hand?

    2. She made a call to Travis approximately 9 p.m. from California.... The battery was fine. Arizona is only about 4 hours away from where she was.

    3. On her way to Travis's house that night.... she never used her phone. When I have been on a long trip in the past (even not so long) I normally call the person and say "i'm only about a mile away I'll see you in a few minutes".

Jodi is a phone talking monger. I would think that would be a major priority for her. Just pondering some things

She's still on probation and once Stabby is convicted they won't be able to have contact

According to Stabby the shot to his head was but a sctach

Completely forgot about the underwear in the freezer gag. Too bad we don't know where Coconut lives we could remove the labels from all of his canned goods and fill his bathtub with jello.

Jodi must have been so pissed when ALV said she wasn't a good liar. I was waiting for Jodi to jump up and object!

I am hoping at least one juror has your mindset.
