Something TA had right up until she slashed his throat. Unless I saw a medical report stating it as fact I don't believe she has one!

TA was in "Flight" mode trying to get away from her as she stabbed him repeatedly. The fact that she was not injured speaks to his not raising a hand to her ever, in even the fight for his life!

Ugh...geez...I can't help thinking about it and visualizing how psychotic and deranged her eyes must have looked while she was in the middle of the act. She must have looked horrifyingly awful. Can you even imagine that whole scene???

Dr. Horn testified that neither the head wound nor the stab to the chest would be immediately fatal. The bullet to the head would, however, have been immediately incapacitating, ruling out the possibility of him being able to get up off the floor (where JA said he landed after she shot him) and ambulate, in any manner, down to the end of the hallway.

The stab wound to the chest is a potentially fatal wound, almost certainly fatal w/o immediate treatment. But, unlike the gun shot wound, that wound would not have been immediately incapacitating, the Dr. testified, and he would have been able to stumble, crawl down to the end of the hallway before collapsing, losing conciousness but still alive with his heart still beating. That is why there is a vast amount of blood there on the carpet at the entrance to the bedroom, where she slit his throat; she severed the carotid arteries still pumping blood.

The wound to the chest was more like someone getting an artery tear ( like Princess Diana), meaning they could live for a short while. He was dead in what, 2 minutes?

Thats the thing. In that pic, we don't know for sure that the throat has been cut yet. That blood could be from his chest wounds, right?.
I think Willmott was just trying to cast doubt in the state's case somehow. IDK. but I'm not sure the throat was cut yet in that last pic of Travis with JA's pant leg/foot

I've always questioned it. It could be those awful to the bone head wounds and the stabs by his ears etc. He was obviously bleeding from many wounds but that might not mean he was in fact dead yet. Weak, conscious or half conscious maybe. We'll never know and if there's you and I not sure, you know there are going to be jurors that aren't sure.

I think they will be able to settle on the defensive wounds which to me are the strongest point, because he had to be conscious for those no matter what. Which should be enough to reach the 'suffered aka cruel' prong.

hmm, now I have a question. would the deflection by the bullet hitting the skull make the bullet NOT go thru the frontal lobe? i hate being confused by stuff like that. I wish I had einstein's IQ

The bullet entered the skull cavity, but how much contact it had with brain tissue (some is mandatory) is up for debate. You can still live and function with a frontal lobe injury. The skull could have deflected the bullet down toward his face where it lodged. There would have been some bleeding in his skull but it's all speculation how functional he could be after getting shot with a small bullet that mostly affected bone.

I don't think the reason the ME is back up is because he has to clarify. I think Martinez just wanted to re-emphasize the heinousness of the crime. Who better than the ME, with pictures, to do that?

I just wish they had done a cleaner, more complete job the first time around. I don't think Dr. Horny was definitive during his first testimony. He equivocated on some things. I'm also unclear on why some witnesses get two turns at bat. I find it shady that he was not able to remember his own testimony and claimed he never spoke to Flores. I don't trust cops and I don't trust the state.

He should have asked "after the gunshot wound, would Mr. Alexander have been capable of screaming "Kill you, fucking BITCH!??

Wow, nothing about trajectory at all. Wonder why? Esp. with all those "I believe"s and "I think"s from Horne...seems like we could have used one more angle to disprove Jodi's story besides the 'immediately incapacitating' line.

Because AZ is running a Mickey Mouse operation. Just look at the horse shit they are trotting out there as evidence. Some cop tipping a shelf with his hands in a picture? Not one word on blood splatter evidence in a crime scene full of it? Minimal ballistics evidence. Minimal computer forensics on Jodi who basically lived online. They are either cheap or just do a half-assed job.
