I honestly beg to differ. Jodi has ruined a lot of everyday things for many of us. Things that were once innocent and/or pleasurable now bring up tainted images of Jodi. First of all, sex. I never thought I would be bored of the topic of sex. But after hearing about all of Jodi's adventures for nearly 3 months and Nurmi begging for all the gory details, its been a tad difficult to get that stuff out of my mind at times, especially in light of what she did to Travis.
But I believe many people are also referring to things like tootsie pops, toblerone bars, Starbucks, Cinnabon, legitimate domestic violence victims, toilet paper, etc.
Obviously its all in good fun and to vent frustrations about this killer taking everyday things and making people think of them a bit differently
Jodi gave herself away on the stand first thing. She said the lies she told about the ninja's, she was just trying to make a story fit with what she knew evidence was. Well she gave the ninja a knife....if she was really in a fog and doesn't remember anything about the stabbing, having a knife, was in a fog from gunshot till hoover dam....then why the hell did she give the ninja a knife? Oh yeah.....to fit what she knew happened.....just like she said!

While we did not get into the courtroom today, it was still worthwhile! All but nine of us got in, two Canadians left, and seven of us stayed in the waiting area and tried to watch our devices (not too successfully so I will watch later) and chatted. we were next to a young couple fresh out of med school, from MI. they have two months until internships (one a surgeon, the girl a psychiatrist) in MA, so came here to see the trial. Cane Lady did not get in either, and Katy Wick was not there but I saw she was on Dr. Drew just now. We saw the grandma in a wheelchair, and the guy that sits next to Mrs. Arias is very tall.
Saw Juan and Estephan a few times in passing! Took a pic of my friend with Beth Caras outside, she is very approachable. My sister works in a Federal Building, we met her at City Center for cocktails then went to dinner at Nobuo, it has a James Beard award chef. Shocked to hear the end is near and so ready!

Hell yeah, you can bet if it is still going on, I will take that whole day off till we have a verdict. Probably wishful thinking but I've invested so much time in this trial that is sucks that I might not see how it all unfolds.And I probably won't-dammit. 9:30 Juan will be calling Dr. Horne to the stand, I believe it's his last rebuttal witness. Should be done by noon. Wednesday, Dickhead Nurmi gets his surrebuttal with his Psych Dr. until it ends then Thursday and Friday closing arguments and jury left to deliberate.
Its amazing to see Jodi 'friends' juxtaposed with Travis'.

Hi Dee. The problem with what Nurmi did when he blurted out the "was JA provoked" during his cross-examination of Flores was this: (1) it went beyond what Juan asked Flores during his rebuttal. Juan never mentioned anything remotely connected to JA being provoked on June 4. Juan objected. the objection was sustained; it was actually a blatent violation of the rules of evidence; and (2) recently, the DT added the lesser charge of "manslaughter" to the jury instructions which means they want the jury to consider that JA killed TA in a heat of passion, i.e., she was provoked. However, the DT's defense throughout this trial, was focused on self-defense and that she was scared and in "mortal fear" of her life. The DT did not question JA whether she was "provoked." So, in turn, Juan never had the opportunity rebut that theory. In other words, DT dropped the ball. So, what does Nurmi do in a last minute desperate attempt to get SOME EVIDENCE, ANY EVIDENCE that she was "provoked" into killing him before the jury? Slippery Nurmi tries to get in through the back door what he should have presented through the front door. He knows better. It was sneaky and unethical. Speaking as an attorney who has practiced for 23 years, it was a WOW moment for me.

The defense team has given Jodi an extremely thorough and extra zealous defense. More than 1.5 million dollars has been spent on the defense alone. This trial has dragged on for 4 months, the vast majority of which was the defense case. The defense makes constant motions for a mistrial, and objects almost nonstop to testimony that could harm Jodi.
While we can (and have) mocked Nurmi and Willmott's personal habits and characteristics, matching outfits, looks, clothing choices, etc, those things do not add up to ineffective representation of council at all. So while Jodi could file an appeal claiming ineffective representation of council, I predict there is no chance she could be successful.
"Can and will be used against you" does not actually mean every word she said or wrote will be shown to the jury.
Did you observe any unidentified flying porcine? I hear they appear when Jodi makes comments about her non-promiscuity.Arias sent out the message that she was 'not promiscuous.' At the same time, she declared that she was once pregnant. I immediately rushed outside to look for the star in the eastern skies. No luck!
But now the trial is wrapping up, and soon will be over. No more hanging out on this thread and chatting about the case with all the wonderful new friends we have made.

I thought they'd find someone of similar height/weight to Jodi & have that person demonstrate actually attempting to step up AND reach to the back. They could've had something placed where the gun was supposed to be, to show the whole step, reach, grab scenario is completely implausible. So many people want to prove her a liar, surely they wouldn't have had a shortage of suitably-sized volunteers? They had a missed opportunity here. It could've been used to blow JA completely out of the water. Instead? It's still open for debate, because if our own pro-prosecution WT is underwhelmed with the science behind this little demonstration, then so are thousands more. The question is whether any jurors feel that way too.
Maybe the defense team objected to certain aspects and the judge ruled that JM could only show what he showed?
They were in closed door hearings yesterday. We don't know everything about why JM has entered certain evidence or why he hasn't entered other evidence.
Jusy 5 was a loose cannon and it would be just like her to be the odd jurer out in giving hodi the DP JUST SO SHE COULD GET SOME FACE TIME OR INFAMY.
This is a huge point.
All recent digital cameras have a Delete All option in the menu that deletes all files from a memory card/stick (Memory Stick PRO Duo in this instance).
So Jodi only tried to delete evidence of her being at Travis' that day, leaving other photo files on the camera.
I still think she planned on taking the camera with her, but accidentally bundled it up with the sheets and threw it all in the washing machine. I can imagine her running around frantically looking for the camera.
But as it stands, in her amnesiacfog Jodi was able to attempt to delete all evidence of her being at Travis' that day. Yeah, fog .... sure.
Not to mention Travis' life, his family & friends lives, those with actual PTSD, those with BPD who feel people think they're potential killers now, Wilmott & Laviolette & Dr. DogAteMyHomework, her family.....I honestly beg to differ.
