By the looks of these shelves, the front pins are only about 2" from the front of what looks to be 16" deep shelves. Cursory calculations indicate that you would need to apply 3.5 times the weight of the shelf on the front edge before the rear of the shelf would start to lift. Add items on top of the shelf and this would also add 3.5 times their weight to the force needed to flip. The force required 1" onto the shelf would be double that at the edge.
I think that Jodi could have stepped near the right or left side of the shelf with her toes 3 inches onto the shelf and it would have supported her without disturbing the items on the shelf.
She might have carefully stepped on the shelves during cleaning, but I doubt that she stepped on them the day Travis was murdered.

YIKES!!!! I think I would rather have the needle!
Well, I guess there always exists the possibility that the Fraud Inspector could be, say, out of town on business? Except, I can't see that taking all day. I think, judging by the way the first 2 defense psychologists did on the stand, we are reserving the entire day for their rebuttal witness, unfortunately. :(
It's going to be the defense rebuttal psychologist, I'm almost positive. But, we don't know who else Martinez has. We have heard the Fraud Inspector from JPMorgan Chase, and ME Dr. Horne. Some of those were objected to by the defense, so it's possible we won't see one or both of them. Other than that, I don't know of any other witnesses Martinez has. So my guess is, we'll get one more witness today for the prosecution, the remaining tomorrow, and the defense will get a very long weekend to set up their rebuttal witness.
I'm not saying it's not a big deal. I'm saying why is it a big deal for Nurmi and the defense? It was testified the attic was empty, what does it matter which detective said it was empty?
I thought it was disgusting. I know some people are feeling sorry for Granny. I'm undecided. Yes I feel for her if she's confused or being manipulated, but otherwise? If this is another maneuver for sympathy, with the little bs DV ribbons, to generate sympathy and grandma came willingly, I can't see how I can have much sympathy for her. They all know damn well Jodi is no victim; and unless grandma is senile, she's just as bad as the rest of them in trying to demonize Travis to save Jodi's murdering ass.

Not sure if this has been posted already, but I saw this book when I was looking at the Foxy Knoxy book coming out.

Haven't posted in a long time in here but I lurk quite a bit.
I don't think distance is the issue, I think the witness schedule is. That's why I think it's the defense psychologist. Because, even though the DT KNEW for more than a year what Dr. D was going to testify to for the prosecution, they didn't start scrambling to line-up someone to rebut, until the last few days/week apparently. At that point in time, I'm sure the psychologist had patients, conference time, or something of that sort.
It could be say the prosecution's bank fraud witness, but she is based in Phoenix; so unless she is out of town on business, I don't think it's her. Plus, she would've been given plenty of notice by the prosecution, unlike the last-minute scrambling by the defense.

I'm thinking Wed is for sur rebuttal. Only because the judge seemed quite bitchy about it. "We're NOT leaving until we are finished" sounds like she's sending a message to the Def. that they're not getting more than a day of everyone's time to bring in another expert. No more of this 'take all the time you want BS'. Juan will rest after Dr. Horne. I hope he'll bring in more witnesses, however with the time that's left, I'm thinking this is it. But Wed. is going to be completely devoted to the def. sur-rebuttal. (Just guessing, hope I'm wrong)
Guess on deliberations? I'm going to say 6-8 hours. Only because they have 50 pages of jury instructions.
And now that this has gone on WAY longer than a 10-minute break, I'm betting they will come back in and judge will call it a day.

Because when pedos that belong to strict religions wanna whack off to kiddie pics, they always do it 5 minutes after their fuckbuddy departs, and leave the bedroom door and the front door both unlocked, even though they have roommates.
Right. Glad we got that settled.
I disagree with your conclusion, but the math part was sexy. Just sayin'![]()

I'm predicting if the jury gets the case on Friday, we will have a verdict by the end of the day. I am sticking with M1 - DP

This is a pretty good video, jury notes with a very comprehensive timeline and shows Jodi's premeditation.
just a warning, includes photos of travis's body including neck slash

If you go by Wendi's case, we're looking at about another 3-4 weeks before it's all really done.
