On topic: Has anyone heard about a possible hearing in the morning? Or what they have going on that they don't need the jury until 1:30?
I'm betting its just regarding these rebuttal witnesses that the defense doesn't want in, but not sure why it would take all morning

What do you think about this "unpardonable offense" Travis mentioned in his email? Looking at how things turned out, I wonder if it is guilt over having a physical relationship that was then made somewhat public in the church, and not getting married. It must have affected future Mormon marriage prospects for both of them, maybe the woman more than the man.

well........... the judge is probably allowing for extra time because nurmi takes for-ev-er to say what he means

I hope he's being called to remind the jury of his testimony that Travis would have been "immediately incapacitated" by the gunshot to the head, and not chasing Jodi around threatening her. Also the BULLET TRAJECTORY that was downward, fired from above, NOT fired at Travis charging Jodi 'like a linebacker'.

Two very important things that completely contradict her self-defense story.

Yes, I was wondering why a trajectory expert was never called to dispute the angle from which she said she shot him and how the bullet actually went into his head.

Best guess is that witness can't be there till afternoon. If Juan had had witness ready to go today, I bet we would have proceeded. How many witnesses took stand today? 4? I bet he thought with defense stalling that he wouldn't have had 2 actually make it through the day.

Nancy Grace said that Stabby was begging the judge to allow manslaughter in jury instructions. So, the defense can argue it in closing. Apparently the judge is taking every precaution to avoid an overturn on appeal. No one wants this case to come back for a retry.

Nurmi was memorializing for all time a one-sided conversation trashing their parents,

where they have no recourse to respond or defend or balance the scales. Kinda sh!tty.

He did have to go there. The defense has nothing else but to try and paint Jodi as the victim and Travis as someone who deserved to be murdered.

Unfortunately for Nurms, all the questioning of Travis' exes made one thing clear. That even though he may have crossed boundaries, or tried to (violating chastity, grabbing Mimi's butt), he was never egregious in crossing them; he felt bad for it; and he repented.

With Jodi, he found someone who mutually enjoyed it. In the defense's eyes, that makes Jodi a victim whom Travis disrespected. In my eyes, that made Jodi someone who enjoyed exploiting Travis' weaknesses and helping him indulge in them. I have no doubt that -- based on his behavior with all of his other exes -- if Jodi said she did not enjoy something, felt bad or didn't want to do it anymore, that he would've respected that and not done those things. That's what he did with every other woman. To me, that's Travis' pattern.

He was certainly far from a saint, but who isn't. But he was respectful and regretful of bad behavior and tried not to do it again. Until he met someone who was just as into that behavior as he was and didn't tell him it was wrong, don't do it, stop, etc. They were equals in that sexual relationship.

Jodi actually said that he did not force her to do any sexual act she did not want to, that the sex was always consensual. If I recall correctly, didn't she say that they had tried the tying up thing previously and it was uncomfortable for her and so they stopped? If he was such a huge bully and she was so afraid what she did or did not want would not have mattered. There is also the phone call (which I am sick to death of) when she tells him that he "made her feel like a goddess.

Now I understand that the defense is fighting tooth and nail to prevent the corner from being recalled. I wished there had been a trajectory expert called by the prosecution. I believe they are going to find that she was not holding the gun in the manner Travis supposedly attacked her, causing her to shoot him. The angle for the trajectory appears to be in a way where he had his head down or a lot lower than him tackling her.

I think that was Cesare who mentioned it earlier. She said she was an elegant woman who appeared very turned off by fatsos approach to Deanna.

It is for real!! I am sure someone for the defense came up with it after watching all the HLN defense attorneys give advice. It was said a month ago, they should have gone w heat of passion rather than self defense. And, they have not proven self defense. SO, now fatso wants the jury to get instructions with respect to the killing occurred in heat of passion thereby giving her a sentence of manslaughter. WHICH by the way, carries a 7 - 21 year sentence. She has already done 5.

Judge on Nancy Grace said the judge needs to allow the consideration in because it is a dp case and no one wants the case overturned on appeal.

Yup. BK is the only person on that show who is worth watching. I have a "morbid curiousity" about juror reactions. I hope this juror is selected for deliberations. We need an update from our AZ friends. You know who you are!
