We know Travis was dead being dragged at 5:30
she was 57 miles north of Kingston at 11:30 calling Ryan -- that's six hrs since killing him
She didn't arrive to SLC until almost 12 hrs later at 11:00 am the next day.

So no stop for gas on way to Utah. She fills before she leaves Utah, thus proving she did have three cans to get her in and out of AZ.

Shows she still had 3 gas cans. just more proof of the 3 gas cans. Jodi swore under oath that she only had 2 and never had 3. Now her testimony can literally be thrown out during deliberations should the jury believe that she lied to them.

The defense would be wise to not go after her with this aggressive approach. First, because she has already testified that Travis never called her names or raised his voice or mistreated her, in any way. Nurmi risks losing ANY empathy with the jury they might have if he does. Also, it would hi light the fact that his client is the only girlfriend who makes the claims she does a out his character. Jodi seems to be the sole person who brought out a negative side to Travis. She was controlling and manipulative and unbalanced.

I doubt it, there is no way he could reconstruct it to be the same so then it isn't allowed. He doesn't need them. If he'd slow down when he had Stabby on the stand, he could have busted her on the gun too. She said under oath she'd never seen a small hand gun, "just long barrel ones". If she never saw a small one then she never found one on Travis' shelf in 2007!

How can he prove it? Someone mentioned that there is now to check to actually find out if he did own a gun. He could have bought it second or third hand. Course, I know he never owned one, but I am not a juror. Sure as hell wished I was though!

Defense filed a motion to ask the shelves not be allowed. Think that was a week or 2 ago. Haven't seen any kind of decision from the judge, but it's possible I missed it.

Some boys never learn... they chase fake titties and dyed blonde hair. What's hotter than a pretty, religious, smart woman telling you to man up because it's time to play house and make babies? She went on that mission and kept him in her heart. Obviously he was not the right guy for her or it would have been a no-brainer to put a ring on it. I'm sure the whole thing is painful to think about. I hope Nurmi doesn't get nasty on cross exam but I know it will happen.

The cans show Jodi was trying to make sure she had enough gas to get through Arizona without having to buy gas. They are evidence of premeditation.

And more important, this is NOT just "one more lie". Some people might actually buy her story that she lied at the beginning because she was afraid or ashamed. However, Jodi made a BIG deal to the jury about how she was absolutely telling them the whole truth now, on the stand.

Jodi looked that jury right in the eye and said with apparent total sincerity that she returned the third gas can to WalMart, and also that she did not fill up three gas cans in Utah, only two.

Those were LIES. Not long ago "I was scared" lies. Not "I was in a fog" lies. Not "I was suffering from PTSD lies". Those were lies right here and now, to this jury, after she swore she was all done with lies and was telling the absolute truth now. And she told the lies with great sincerity.

So, now that it is proven that Jodi flat out lied to this jury, while looking and acting all sincere, the jury has reason to believe that much of what Jodi said was a lie. There is no more reason to believe anything she says. So if a juror was torn between Jodi's story and the evidence, now there is no more reason to lean in favor of Jodi's story.

We have a word for this type of insight on the Jodi forum, and that word is

HLN defense guy, Dwain Cates, is an idiot. I would call LYING to a juror question a pretty big deal, that DOES make a difference.

He's downplaying lying under oath? He's got nothin. There's a couple people on HLN that have to take the defense side that are really reaching a lot.

I hate that show After Dark. The defense usually just takes the prosecution words and twists them around instead of trying to actually prove the prosecution wrong. And there are so many inaccuracies from both sides on that show.

I'll tell you what, when you look at the overall package, I think Deanna was the most attractive woman/person/wife we've seen. I think she's pretty and I hope he had a good reason to let her get away.

I think Flores pegged it right, Travis had a problem with committing. That was starting to change, but he never got the time to grow up and see it through finally.
