I have to agree with Dr. Drew (He is not a psychiatrist, but an internist with an addictions subspecialty). After the epinephrine surge from fighting and killing Travis, other neurotransmitters and cortisol come into play. She, most likely, had an opiate-like feel good high.
To say that there must be a million borderlines but none do this is to say that no one ever dies from anesthesia.
Her being so calm afterwards is probably a result of her BPD/sociopathic tendencies. Imo its another reason why she doesnt appear to be showing any remorse
Im with a girl who has similar traits. She does not know how to show emotion at all. Sometimes i cant tell whether shes mad/happy/sad because on the outside she acts the same way no matter what her mood is. She could be in a bad or a good mood, but you woudnt know it unless you asked her
Those "alarms" probably never went off in jodis head either because killing travis was just something she had to do. In the interrogation tapes, she said she just "needed to move on". I guess if she knew travis wasnt alive anymore, that would enable her to finally move on.

I've never been much of a 'why' person myself so maybe that adds to common sense. I think you are wanting 'feelings' where there are none. Feelings you imagine you might have, trying to put yourself in that situation. Hard to try to comprehend, they don't have what you want inside them. Jeffrey Dahmer, no more understood himself than we might ask why, so how could we understand him? And a long list of others that give evidence they themselves don't know why. It's like JA asking 'whats different' to Flores. I don't think that was manipulation. Most but, I think part of her was sincerly curious 'how why am I different'.
Ted Bundy, would say he had anxiety sometimes, worried he left something behind so it was related to getting caught, but he didn't attribute those feelings to the horrors he committed. Can you imagine the power they might feel? An emotion, even a bad one, would be 'feeling'. The ability to not have fear? I can only imagine it, but even in imagination, I can see why they might enjoy any feeling where little is usually felt.
They did a remake in the 70s or 80s, Although in color, it wasn't as good in my opinion. Redgrave was good and Carradine but the little girl just didn't fit the role as well as Patty McCormak did.

Rocked the psych world, big breakthoughs, treatments changing across the county BS w ppl too traumatized so the theory flew, she created a few dozens give or take alters. pfft, years later you find out it was all BS lies from both her shrink and Sybil. Sybil wanted the comfort of the shrinks attention and the shrink loved the fame and money.

What I am trying to say is the dx of BPD is one for which there is no cure. The dilemma with any personality disorder (actually any mental condition) is the brain lacks the ability to observe itself. It is not like a broken arm in which the person can look and say oh wow, my arm is broken. Although the dx predisposes her to anger and aggression, it is not the reason she killed travis. Other factors come into play. So Jodi is an outlier. Just like someone who dies from anesthesia or doesnt wake up. Doesnt happen all the time. But it does happen, right?

But then so was the book. March throws out his personal jabs a shrinks 'Freuds', mades one character a homosexual [imagine how brave that was for the 50s] and most of all as books are never like movies, the ending is different! I completely agree. I said something similar about that whole thing with death photos & "justice being served". It sounds SO much like E.D. If you check out all the Jodi Arias twitter accounts, there's one that proclaimed her innocence for ages, but was shut down late march with E.D links plastered all over it. The announcement they were shutting it down included something along the lines off "I can't believe how gullible you people are, as if I think that bitch is innocent".
Now we have a thread about malware etc issues relating to JAII? Could it be that if people really are getting viruses, spyware or whatever after visits to JAII, it's because like the twitter account, it was set up for the express purpose of attracting her supporters & laughing at them? It's just too extreme. Real support sites avoid contentious issues because they want to support, not inflame. They try to calm things down using reasoning & logic to convince people to look deeper. That site does more damage to Jodi than all the Travis support sites combined!
