To me that backs up the theory of him being stabbed in the chest first, then turning his back to JA. It was a learned response that instinctually took over. Kinda like a woman who has been battered will flinch when someone raises their hand too quickly. I have seen it with dogs too. A battered dog will immediately growl or cower when you walk up and try to pet them from above rather then from below. Ones that have been beat with a belt will usually freak when you approach them with a leash. They don't know the difference between a leash and a belt. Learned behavior..
