I thought that convicted felons could not visit anyone in prison...is this also true of county jails? Anyone?

Is it really suspended, or did they disable it due to the (I'm just guessing) high amounts of hate messaging they have gotten?

I'm torn about the whole thing. On the one hand, of course it's disgusting that she has one. On the other hand, I don't know that there's anything actually wrong with it. While Jodi gave up many privileges and rights, I'm not sure freedom of speech is actually one that prisoners lose. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Now, I have a theory, and it makes me mildly nervous. I've noticed on HLN's After Dark that the 'jurors' will sometimes ask questions that make me think they're leaning one way, but when it comes time to vote, they go in the opposite direction.

Is anyone concerned that this same thing applies to this jury? I realize that HLN's show is pretty much junk, but I'm curious as to what you all may be thinking.
In one respect, Jodi's twitter account is not run any differently than many celebrity and executive twitter accounts. She tells Donavan what to tweet, and they tell their social media specialists, assistants or interns what to tweet.

    Scoring the questions:

    Pro-prosecution
Are you aware Jodi's g. parents house was robbed? Yes
    About a hundred others...

    Pro-defense
Is it common for women to Snap and commit violence? Self defense (Approach)
Is it possible for Jodi (the victim) to be the murderer (perpetrator)? It's possible for somebody to lash back (Now another long ass story from Alyce)
Have you ever seen where victims kill their partner b/c they have no way out? Long pause-One case I've worked before. (Approach)
Could a women kill somebody to get away from the abuse? Rare
Have any of your patients killed their partner? Yes
Killing Travis was extreme, is that what a victim would do, in your experience? They are afraid. They don't know when to stop. (Long story)

    Pro-mistrial
When I listened to the trial I thought I heard a few questions on details that would have come from outside the testimony, like tv or internet. Going back through the list I can't find them. Did the jury have "help" with these questions? I'm sure Nurmi is on it.

Obviously many vindictive questions are coming from hard-line jurors that have already decided she is guilty. A huge amount of questions about lying (why so fixated? she admitted lying). Only one question about premeditation. But there is that troubling handful of questions about snapping which would be a heat of passion killing. At least one juror is open to the possibility that Travis abused Jodi. The defense team still has a good shot at a hung jury, or a second degree murder conviction. Will the hard-liners make the final jury pool and push their opinion through? Or will they reach a compromise verdict?

Stay tuned for next week's chapter of As The Knife Turns.

I think those first juror questions were put in early on in ALV's testimony when she came across as a loveable granny. The more she talked, the more it became clear that her testimony should be taken with a grain a salt due to her obvious bias. My only hope is that they ALL take the evidence in totality. When I was on juries, we always took a vote and then went around the table to hear the jurors thoughts. Those that had doubts on guilt stated them, and then it was talked out until the juror was satisfied with the evidence at hand. I really hope this is a "grown-up" jury that takes this seriously. With all the evidence, I can't see a reasonable person having a reasonable doubt.

I coincidently stumbled on this crazy trial on the first day with opening statements. I think I've only missed two days of testimony since then and, like any good addict, have not been able to stop!! My house practically looks like a candidate for "Hoarders". OK, not that bad, but it's getting there. I feel like I hit "bottom" this morning when I woke up and felt the darkness of it all. I stepped away from the livestream today and found out that it's springtime out there and that there are normal and pleasant people in the world! I'm feeling thankful that no matter how awful this case may be, life is pretty sweet.

There was a Social Media Pro on HLN who said things I totally agree with.

Alyce needs to put her big girl panties on. She knew she was getting herself into a high profile death penalty case, she's being extremely biased and immoral. She has even approached the victim's family in the middle of court which was upsetting for poor Samantha. Her behavior is NOT OK. People writing about her or expressing their disdain in the way she is conducting herself is not wrong. Of course I do not agree with trying to ruin her career or make death threats. Let her career go down from her own actions. And Death threats are never OK, in fact it's no better then acting like Jodi

Alyce has an opportunity every time she walks into court, to turn things around. To change her ways and start doing her job right. She's in her 60s. She is not a stupid old woman. She knows she is using abuse victims for the DT's agenda while she pockets the money. It's never too late to stop needlessly bashing Travis every chance she gets either.

It is time to put her big girl panties on and understand that if she is going to hurt victims of domestic violence everywhere, she can not play a victim when people get upset about it.

I don't believe the questions are vindictive as much as they seem to reflect what they see is a mockery of a defense claim. A good majority of the testimony has already occurred....so, I am betting that many jurors already have a good idea of which way they are leaning. Several questions concerned the lying, and that indicates that the credibility of ALV's opinion is being heavily pondered. She sat up there, saying she is pretty sure that Jodi never lied to her. And we all know that is bullshit. I think this jury has seen, firsthand, that Jodi has lied throughout this process, and I believe they are fed up with what crap the defense is trying to parade before them. There is no doubt Jodi killed him. The only question will be if they buy the pre-meditated or not. When they get in that deliberation room, with all the evidence to sort through.....they are going to have a hard time denying those photos. Alyce is right in the sense that Travis is communicating BIG TIME from those photos, without uttering a gosh darned word. Ironic, considering how hard Jodi worked to silence him.

so am I! bankrupt skid row for 24 hrs. I think it can't be taken willynilly. First questions were before cross influences. It's like Justice said, and everyone blamed #5 for all the questions. That clearly is not the case. I don't think we'll see rebuttal start until next week. There's more questions in the judge's stack and more coming in. Then we have to get through followups so that will suck up tomorrow for sure.
