I heard/read that prisoners, Jodi included, get 3 showers a week.

I wondered that same thing, too, how no one heard the shot but I believe a .25 only makes a "pop" rather than a large "boom." My sister's neighbor checked himself out with a deer hunting rifle and even though there was quite a distance between his house and my sister's, that shot literally reverberated in the air for a few seconds and practically shook the ground when it went off. They live in the foothills so no one thought much about the shot, as people in that area are always killing rattlesnakes and other predators...until his wife came home the next day and found him headless.

Anyway, I digress...I also kind of figured since that looks like pretty much a middle-class neighborhood and the shot would have occurred at approximately 5:30 pm (judging by the photo time stamps), perhaps a lot of the neighbors were still at work or making their way home from work, so maybe no one was really home in the immediate proximity at the time to hear the shot.

Does anyone know for sure, has it ever been testified to in court, where the fuck Jodi parked her car that day? I still can't quite figure out if she parked around the corner or was in the driveway. I would assume the roommate Enrique would have noticed her car in the driveway when he left to catch the bus in the morning, so supposition would lean towards her parking elsewhere. I don't know...I find myself wavering on whether Travis knew Jodi was coming to visit or if she just "surprised" him with a visit and didn't expect him to be up and awake watching Daft Punk on his computer at 4 am. Even if the visit were a pleasant "surprise," I don't see why an innocent person would park away from the house. One of the those niggling little details that just bugs the crap out of me for some reason. Well, one of INNUMERABLE little details about this that bugs the crap out of me...
Sorry, I don't have links, just going from memory. But, Jodi said that it was routine for her to park down the street so that no one could recognize her car when they were trying to keep their booty calls secret.

I also believe at some point in that short attack he probably did ask her to please get help.
I also sometimes think perhaps the gunshot did come first and the gun jammed, just as she described in her Ninja story.
I think she started stabbing him in the back when he was at the bathroom mirror, already injured and disoriented.

It's terrifying to the bone to think of one's final minutes being as horrifying as his had to have been. Whether he was a great guy or a total jerk, no one deserves to ever have the last precious minutes of their lives go down like that. And, even with the "I can't feel my legs anymore," she obviously just kept stabbing and stabbing.

I wish I understood the floor plan of that house better. It's such a dark living quarters and I have a really hard time distinguishing just how far he got before she inflicted the injury to his throat. I can't tell if he almost made it to the bedroom door and down the stairs or if that hallway they show was just a few feet from the bathroom to the bedroom. In any event, one of the most horrific parts to me is that she just relentlessly chased him down to finish the job. It's really beyond my comprehension to even grasp the entire concept yet the proof of how heinous her actions were that day are apparently irrefutable.

Horrifying doesn't even begin to describe it.
If I get a chance to put something together I will try. But, this picture shows the bathroom at the top and the bedroom at the bottom. The hall I believe was 8ft or so. The place where the carpet is ripped up is the bedroom. You can see a door frame to the bottom right. That was, I believe the frame of the door leading down the stairs; the closet being just opposite, on the bottom left. I believe he just about made it out of that room. But, she slashed his throat there and dragged him back.

I believe it was roommate Zach's. Enrique does not have a car. The friends checking on Travis mentioned the car in the driveway and Zach was home when they arrived.

When he was on the stand, he said he retrieved 5 clips, but 2 were taken off b/c they had nothing to do with the case. Also, he said that Travis' voice was soooo low in the tapes that he had to enhance the audio. When the state did cross with him, they only asked him one question. If Bryan takes the stand again, it probably be to introduce the 2 other tapes or clips.
Videos or audio? I remember him saying voice enhancements to make things more clear. Could that be why Travis's voice is so strange at times, especially during the garbling "you are so hot". I feel like saying please cough and clear your throat at that point.

I'm not sure why some people feel such hatred against somebody who is a witness on the stand? Maybe most don't agree with her, IDK, but maybe the woman really believes in what she says. Maybe she does believe Jodi??

IMO, I think she is full of shit.. but whatever. Maybe she was only giving half the information. She has already stated on the stand that other DV experts may have come up with a different decision than the one she did. I think that tells you everything about her testimony you need to know.

My husband works in a field where he has to make decisions on things. He'll be the first to tell you that 10 other people could come in and look at the same thing, and all 10 will come up with a different answer. He will also tell you that there are some things that are indisputable facts.

Alyce sunk herself when she talked about stalking. Then she tried to backtrack by saying she wasn't a stalking expert. It was too late at that point. A DV expert, IMO, should have major experience with stalking and stalking victims. If I was on the jury, that would have been the moment that would have done it for me.

I may not agree with her, nor believe anything else out of her mouth....but I feel no urge to bash her on her book that I have not....nor will ever read! That's just me though.
I'm with you on this Berm. I think the words that have come out of her mouth have betrayed her and her profession.

What I want to know is, where is the knife Jodi used to slash all of those tires???

Cutting a tire can be diffificult -- hard rubber impregnated with all kinds of stiffening materials. Easy for your hand to slip down onto the blade.

A knife like that would be likely to have been used for murder if the killer did not have major cuts on her hands. With all the fluids spewing about in a repeated stabbing, handle gets slippery & hand slips down onto the blade. I'm pretty confident it was the same knife.

Dammit, sorry, I forgot the picture!

Top is the bathroom. Hallway approximately 8 feet long. Bottom is the bedroom where the carpet is ripped up by police. That's believed to be where the throat-slashing occurred. You can see the door frame in the bottom right of the picture. That would be the double doors leading out of the master bedroom and downstairs. To the bottom left would be the closet door.

You know, I can't help but wonder, if Enrique had just gotten home earlier, or of Zach had the day off... someone would've heard what was going on and had been able to stop Jodi.

Ok, I'm being lazy and don't want to look back through all of the previous pages.
Yesterday I shut the trial off about 30 min into JW redirect. Does it look like JW is almost done? I'm assuming there is a good chance of juror questions today?
When they are FINALLY Done with ALV and it is Juan's turn again is he calling up people to the stand and brininging in anything new or will it just be a surprise? This is the first court case I've ever followed this closely!

Okay, here's a better picture/diagram. You can see where the blood pool was at the entrance from the bathroom hall into the bedroom. You can also see the bedroom doors leading to the stairs/downstairs, a few feet away.

Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing to prove that she slashed those tires. Of course there is a 99.9% chance it was her, but no proof. Now I've never slashed a tire before, but i would imagine it wouldn't be an easy thing to do. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'm assuming she is a lot stronger than she looks. Then again if you are psycho enough you probably get that "super strength" when you go into a rage.

Most likely. I have no clue about the knife, but some have said Darryl had some kind of knife collection in Jodi's storage shed. Also, there's the possibility that she snagged one from the restaurant she worked at, or just bought one I guess. I too think it was the same knife used to slash the tires.

I believe they have access to a single-blade disposable razor

And looking at my own posted picture, I don't know where I got 8 feet. Hallway appears to be about 12 feet.

I'm with you. She has hurt herself plenty by just testifying for JA. Damage done. To me it seems mean. To each their own..

I'm with you. She has done tremendous career and life altering damage to herself by testifying for JA. I don't feel a need to lash out at her. It would not make me feel good about myself. I believe if she could turn back time she would have ran as fast as she could away from this trial. Everybodys different.

If Zach had the day off it wouldn't have happened at all, unless Jodi didn't suspect he was there. Could either Zach or Enrique have saved him? No. Time went by so quickly that they might have heard a noise and thought "What the Hell?" If one had gone to his room, it would already have been a done deal. The most one of them could have done is try to restrain her, but then they might be in such shock at the sight of the blood, Jodi likely would have slipped right by anyway. If Enrique had come home and Jodi saw him while leaving, Jodi would likely just pass by him saying "Oh, hi. How did your day go?", then left.

LMaO about JA twitter. What an idiot. Only wish the jury could see it. Paints a lovely picture of the REAL JA.
And she says it is surprising she isn't gay after all she's been through? Wow, all that SHE has been through? Selfish and self centered much?

I believe those two roommates thank their lucky stars every day that they were not there! Rather than having prevented the murder, they would proberly have been victims themselves.

True. Just can't help but play the "what-if" angle sometimes though, you know? I mean, what if Zach was off and came home when Travis and Jodi were post-sex/pre-shower? They were in the kitchen for a snack and then on Travis' computer, according to Jodi. If either of the roommates had come home at that point, I think she probably would've had to hit the bricks, because she'd been seen.

I'm not saying if a roommate was home and the killing foiled, that Jodi wouldn't have tried again. She probably would've staked out the house until she saw both roommates gone, then sneaked in.

One more picture here. It's a tad blurry, but it shows the whole layout of the bathroom/closet/hallway. The bedroom is missing from the diagram, but would be at the top of the picture.

True. But one of them lived there for days not realizing he was living with a dead man. He must have some eerie thoughts now of having lived there and didn't know it.

I thought I remembered someone mentioning this. I'm sure she's let herself wither away a bit for the trial to gain sympathy, but in the pictures I've seen she never really looked that muscular. Must have been sneaky strong. At any rate I'm sure the adrenaline going through her during her outbursts of hate and anger helped to. I get the impression that on more than one occasion she would just fly into fits of rage and do crazy physical shit. Didn't she mention TA banging his head against a wall, repeatedly when he got upset about something? I bet it was HER banging her head. She probably kicked and slapped him around too. Men tend to not want to report physical abuse though. No guy wants to admit some girl is smacking him around. Plus he was a big enough guy to probably not think much of it most of the time.
Ack got off on a bit of a tangent lol

And, IIRC, its was Enrique's girlfriend that took care of Napoleon the whole time. The girlfriend even commented that she thought it was weird that TA's watch and ring sat on the kitchen counter the whole time. In retrospect it's eerie that no one connected the dots.

First of all, let me say that I think Jodi is guilty of premeditated, vicious murder and hope the jury agrees. I am trying to watch and evaluate the evidence as a juror would so anything I write about is from that perspective.

The IMs and texts still worry me. There is more than 1 long, drawn-out series of messages where Travis berates and calls names, the 18 page one lasts over 6 hours. Yes, he probably had good reason to be angry with her but as Alyce pointed out during direct exam and again yesterday on redirect, while it's normal to get angry, to keep that anger going and fueled for that long speaks to something more than just anger. And yes, WE HATE ALYCE, but she knows this stuff, has seen it up close for 35 years. I saw it up close and personal growing up (my parents) and this stood out to me like a big sore thumb...and I can imagine a juror or 2 with a history of 'real' DV might have felt the same way...wondering 'if he was like that online, what was he capable of in real life?' And that worries me.

Again, not blaming Travis in any way and I do not believe Travis was ever physically violent with Jodi, or that she was a battered woman. Just saying to me that is a compelling piece of evidence.

What concerns me more is what she could have done to provoke that sort of response. He accuses her of hurting him, of scamming him. It sounds less like rage and more like anger brought about by hurt.

The IMs and texts still worry me. There is more than 1 long, drawn-out series of messages where Travis berates and calls names, the 18 page one lasts over 6 hours. I could understand flipping out and going on and on calling someone all sorts of bad names if they were threatening to tell people I was a pedo. Granted we'll never know exactly what she said or did to him, all of those "psycho" things. But if she was doing stuf that could ruin his entire life at a point where he was already fed up with her stupid crap I could understand him flipping out. Just wish we knew why the hell he let her come over that one last time. Had to have been more to it than just sex.

Just watched the part of yesterdays trial I missed. When JM is talking about 5/26 text TA sent to JA he asks ALV if she know why TA was so angry. The way he questioned her gives me hope that he has some kind of evidence of JA's actions that resulted in that angry text from TA. Jury questions today, hope they are loaded with sarcasm.
