I think she is complaisant in this. She is a grown woman with "over 35 years" worth of experience. She agreed to be blinded. It made it easier for her to be biased. I think she didn't want to see anything that would make it more difficult for her to see Jodi as a victim.

She's not transfering her feelings, its deeper than that. If it was a simple projection of her feelings about her daughter, she could be objective and say (to herself) my daughter would never kill anyone...lemme figure out why this young woman did this awful thing. Instead Alyce is acting as if Jodi is her daughter. It is critical in any helping profession, especially psychotherapy, to be objective. I am going by her statements that would cause alarms to go off in any clinical setting. Countertransference can be positive or negative and negative countertransference is easy to see. So if one is to believe Alyce simply hates all men, then why treat them? Why place herself in a situation where you hate the ppl in front of you day in and day out?

Alyce is complicit in her own destruction. Alyce chooses to see Stabby as a "victim". Did Alyce at any time ask the defense "Is there ANYTHING you are holding back that could adversely affect my testimony in court?" Not as far as we can tell.

So, I have a really important question then; are Purple Plums anything like Blue Balls?

I missed the whole morning! Can anyone catch me up with one particular incident! First thing ALV is asked if in an IM, Travis expressed fear of JA because of her stalking behavior. ALV says no, then quick recess. Same question asked, ALV says YES? What happened there? Thanks Anyone!

Alyce was on the verge, I think, of getting the actual IM admitted by the State due to her resistance to answering the question truthfully. The Judge, jmo, had the defense speak to her and explain the facts of life to her and the risk she was taking by not answering honestly.

The funny thing about this though - nothing is wrong with it! Technically, Jodi is the boss and they work for her right now! And she LOVES it. She LOVES being able to tell these two educated, successful attorneys what to do. And, unfortunately for them, when you are a defense attorney, you go along with it. They can tell her that they can't object right then, or that her story is unbelievable, or that they don't think the jury will buy it, but in the end, what she says goes. I would have a hard time swallowing that...good thing I'm not a defense attorney!! ;)
