Just after placing the phone, the subject is the torn out pages. Jodi told her Travis was reading the now torn out page, made her rip it out because of the negative things she wrote. Really? It would have eliminated what was on the back side of the page too. One was Oct 21, another in June. I think it was something she personally wrote, but it would have been incriminating to herself.

Yep, very important. Dear Diary, I'm going to have to teach that brat Travis a lesson about getting mad at me. If I can't have Travis ... none of those other bitches will! He's going to learn about my favorite movie scene from 'Psycho'. Brat will pay.

I wonder what would have happened if this witness had to face a female from the State instead of a male. A strong, empowered female would throw her off her game completely.

Or she would have given the jury something in the way of testimony on behalf of her client that was beneficial AND believable. Laviollette hates anything attached to a penis.

I said the part about the trial today. My husband has no interest and I try not to bring up the subject with him, but I just wanted to tell someone about it at that moment today.

Oh, okay, I getcha now. My wife doesn't follow the trial too closely but I can sneak in tid bits here and there and she will show interest for about a half second. I told her about the testimony last night and she was like, "that's nice, can you make me another cocktail?"

From what I hear, the line starts over right after the morning session, so if you get there at the end of the first session, you should be good. But you would have to sit on Jodi's side. The other side is reserved for Travis' family and media. Good luck!

Does Martinez have kids? Dude..rubs off when you are around kids all day like I am at school. Then I get home from work greeted by my own righteous dude-sters. I caught myself a few years ago when I went to manager of grocery store and said, "Dude, you just totally got ripped off!"

I say "dude" all the time, even to my own little ones (who are under the age of 10)...I have been saying it since I was in high school though. Will never outgrow it. Maybe JM picked it up in high school or college too, or his buddies say it to each other over drinks?

Get there as soon as you can. The line for the afternoon session starts immediately after the morning peeps get in. (Some people even hold off for the afternoon session because they know they will see more testimony in the afternoon.) So if you get in the morning session doesn't guarantee you will get in the afternoon session because people have already started lining up outside. When dismissed for lunch, I literally had to run from the courtroom to the line outside (I know I know...I was laughing at myself too) to make sure I got a spot again in the afternoon. So ya...the earlier the better. You may have to wait a couple hours, but promise it's worth it.

I keep seeing people post about Nurmi watching the jurors...can anyone tell me, are the jurors supposed to keep Poker faces on the whole time they are watching testimony?! I mean, isn't it natural to have an unconscious facial reaction sometimes? I can't imagine he would have the ability to kick off any juror just because of a facial tick. OR, perhaps he is he watching the jurors to see who is putting the questions into the basket, so he can keep track when they are actually read to Alyce?

Oh wow. I hadn't thought of that. You're probably right. That has to be nerve wracking trying to write down a question and put it in the basket, if you can feel Nurmi's eyes watching you and he's probably writing down juror # and question # as they go in.

(No matter the opinion any one of us might have of that particular community.) She is surrounded by lawyers, psychologists, law enforcement professionals, other helping professionals, etc., and she is at the center and the focus of all of their attention. They are treating her as an equal and they speak of and to her with deference and respect. No question; right now, Jodi Arias is the most important person in a very important room. This ain't California Pizza Kitchen. From what we know of her sense of superiority and the disdain with which she has treated the people that constituted the former social/professional environment to which she had access, (unsophisticated parents and family, a dumb sister, grammatical illiterates, boring Mormons, loser boyfriends), she's got to be feeling that she's finally arrived at a place more suited to her natural gifts than any place she has ever been before. And she's loving it and it shows! She will revel in it as long as it lasts. Sure, the death penalty is lurking in the background, and then there is the temporary embarrassment of having had some of her more unsavory attributes and activities exposed to public view, but to her, those things are just minor aspects of being human. More naughty scandal than profound disgrace! You behavioral professionals on this thread can probably offer a pretty good explanation of how Jodi Arias craziness enables her to relegate those distractions to the background while she enjoys the moment. She can't keep herself from feeling that's she's a very special person in a very special group. She's embraced the visceral rewards and is consciously engaged in directing the process that promises more rewards every day. She can't be wasting time, nor does she appear to have any room, to feel anything about what she did to get here. Jodi (Einstein) Arias has finally come into her own! She's progressed right through to the end of her very own 'Continuum.' Don't tell Alyce.

If you can get there 5 mins before, that would be best so you can beat the morning spectators. As we all know, the judge is very prompt with her lunches and breaks. And spectators are not allowed to leave the courtroom until the judge says they are dismissed. (I was told they started that rule a while ago because people would leave the courtroom 5-10 mins before lunch just so they can get their spot in line.) And remember...all of this is from my experience when I was there mid-Feb...which seems like forever-ago, so things may be different now.

Great observation. I think JA has lost sight of the reason she is in this position. She seems so determined to play games and fight the little battles that arise like booting jurors. It will be a sobering moment when the verdict is announced, but I expect more of the same behavior in penalty phase. I do think she will be convicted of 1st degree murder, and predict she will enjoy the Victim Impact Statements. She will cry when and if her family takes stand to try to save her from DP.

Thank you for your response. I would have a tough time being on a jury (as I've said before in this forum) just purely because I have a very tough time not showing emotion on my face...even when just reading a book. It's unfortunate that Juror #5 got herself bumped from the jury, but I sure hope it wasn't just because she stood out. That's quite unfair. I hope it was because of an action or something she said.

Earlier in the trial, the judge mentioned she was reading the juror questions in the order they were received, which made me believe anyone could keep track of who was writing which question if they wanted to...I like your idea better (to mix them up to keep the jurors anonymous).

I want to know what's in that notebook too!
