Well she solved the problem of feeling wronged by Travis, she eliminated him from the equation. Unfortunately for her, eliminating him will cost her the remainder of her life. Maybe before they put the needle in her arm she can tell all the stalkers that dont believe they can go on without the object of their desire whether or not it was all worth it in the end.
She has been trying to get out of this "payment plan" ever since the moment she hatched the idea of his premeditated murder. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."
I just finished watching the film Sunset Boulevard (one of my all time favs). For those who have not seen it, the female star goes nuts at the end and shoots her reluctant 'sort of' love interest, who is trying to leave her, because how dare he try and leave her.
I couldn't help but think of Jodi, of course. The look on the woman's face as she starts losing it and saying crazy shit... I wondered if Jodi's face looked that way, there at the end? Her crazy face would have been the last thing Travis saw.
In the movie, the spurned woman says (in a creepy, I have totally lost touch with reality, kind of voice): "I'm a star....I'm the greatest star of the all. No one ever leaves a star. That what makes one a star." She looks totally delusional while she is saying it. Did Jodi say something along those lines to Travis? I truly think that Jodi killed Travis because he was finally breaking things off with her for good, and nobody was gonna leave Jodi, no sir, no way.
This is a fabulous classic film and worth seeing the whole thing... it is playing this month several times on Retroplex, if you have that channel. If you just want to see the scene I am referring to, here it is. The tidbit in question starts one minute in:
Were you crying when you were stabbing him? --SuperJuan Martinez
Nobody believes a word out of your mouth. Why do you keep talking? -- ABC Interviewer to JA
Coconut can speak for himself, but I want to just say this;
He wants Jodi put away. He just has issues with JM's style of prosecuting. He's been an hilarious asset to the forum and is insightful as well. I don't always agree with him, but I do respect his opinions. He is very passionate about wanting this woman put away for good, and he worries about the circus atmosphere screwing it up. I worry about that too. He does not belong on the JAII page. He belongs here. His heart is right where it should be as he too wants justice for Travis.
She'll never profit from this whether she's in prison or out. The family will be suing her in civil court for being responsible for the death of their family member. (Remember O.J.) Any money she makes she'll be shelling out for the rest of her life. That is, if Jodi loses the civil suit- which I am sure she will.
I don't know, but we know she knows head fo' sho'
ETA:
Sorry, I dont believe it. He finds fault with every move the prosecution makes and with each defense witness he thinks the DT has strong points even when jury questions prove otherwise. I know he is always sure to throw in a "justice for Travis" comment for good measure but it is sooo obvious that he is a JA supporter or he just simply enjoys trying to beat ppl unconscious with his opinion....either way it is annoying!

hello? is everyone's dance card full? Jodi, are you there?
Our manual in my state did not include No. 6 but that was 5 years ago when I took the test. I don't remember Baby Mama on there either, but it must have been, because I sure did get a lot of Baby Mama calls. Lol
Once a man called me saying his Baby Mama visited his home recently and he kept repeating that he didn't want any trouble. She wasn't there when he made the call. He said it was several days prior.
When I ran his name, up came a warrant for CDVHAN.
I convinced him he should talk to an officer just in case so there wouldn't be any trouble. When I dispatched the call, the officer was like "seriously? The guy is going to open the door?" I said yep. They went on the call and when the guy opened the door upon the officers' knock, they cuffed him and gave him a free stay at the county jail.
Criminals are stupid! Lol. That's why I'm not surprised Jodi screwed up with the camera!
Thanks for looking that up. I'll have to find my book and see what it specifically says as well, although I do think the definition may vary by state.
Here's the diary entry from May 22, 2008. If somebody finds the last page, please let me know. (any spelling mistakes are most likely mine)
Thurs. May 22, 2008
Today has been a day of good new & sad news. Good news: My phone arrived! And not a moment too soon. Sad news: I finally had "the conversation" w/Travis and it did not go well. I sort of put it to him already in an email I sent a few days ago and he didn't like that either, nor did he take the hint. So I realized I had to be a little bit more direct. I told him that of course I'm looking for to his impending visit, that I can't wait to check more things off of the list (from 1,000 places) but that we probably would be better off in all ways if we were not physical.
He got offended and upset, then acted distant. I tried being so sweet & speak kindly to him, playing up all of the advantages of not violation the law of chastity, and he didn't want to hear any of that. Then it got worse, he asked me who I'm seeing, have I been getting my kicks w/someone else, etc. Of course I swore that I wasn't (which is true) but also pointed out that I didn't freak out when he confesses his potentially undying love for MiMi. He said to leave his love life out of it. Typical. Then after a moment, he apologized, and said a lot of his frustration is from the fact that things in his dating life aren't going that well, and yes, he still likes MiMi, but it's not progressing the way he wants it to, and he's leaning toward giving up on her. I told him to be patient, she'll come around.
The problem w/ Travis, is that he's so used to girls falling all over themselves for him & she doesn't do that. He needs that, I really think he does,-to wait.
Well, even sadder is we agreed to amicably part ways. He is an amazing person, and he's told me countless times that I am one of the most beautiful people he's ever met-on the inside & out. But it is really better this way. We both agreed to change our passwords, which we had exchanged eons ago to establish, or re-establish "trust" which we had both violated, so no more of that. We had both picked 2 accounts, so I chose Facebook & Gmail & he chose Facebook & Myspace.
We are truly good people at the core, both of us, but we can't behave ourselves when we're around each other, not even over the phone. He said I am still like kryptonite to him. But I'm tired of being guilt-ridden when the air clears.
I knew it was wrong going over there all of those nights, but I couldn't say no to him, I couldn't not pick up the phone. He would rationalize it saying "it's really not that bad" or "come on, I want to please you" and I was weak. I went anyway, I answered the phone anyway.
Moving has certainly helped me morally. I don't know if it has him or if he's found a replacement booty-call. For his sake I hope he hasn't, not because it would be a replacement but because it is not spiritually productive. We both want to get married and I don't think either of us is anywhere near that if we contiune to act inmorally w/ each other. I am mortified that my phone was stolen. It had a hugely scandalous text message from him (10 pgs!) that he sent last week. It would make a steamy romance novel sound like a script from a G-rated Disney movie. I also had 1 or 2 recorded conversations that were equally as scandalous. I never did figure out how to play those back for him. Well they're gone now & we won't be making more. Well, actually I wouldn't be on it entirely, one of us will crack & call the other. It's crazy, but what can you do?
Wherever my phone is now, I just hope the text messages & conversations are never discovered. Yikes. It's certainly not Pamela Anderson or Paris Hilton level scandal, there's no video, but it would be embarrasing none the less.
I am honestly relieved about the whole thing. The "just friends" had to many complicated "benefits" I'm not seeing anyone per se, but somehow I feel like it still isn't fair to any of my current prospects. And Travis said he's still certain he wants to marry MiMi, although they're not yet dating. It's not fair to her either, in my opinion. We hadn't talked about her in so long, I didn't realized he was still in pursuit. I wouldn't dare lecture him over it though. The first thing that almost popped out of my mouth was, "Then why the hell are we still messing around if that's the case?!?" But I kept it shut. For 2 reasons. 1. It would be like the pot calling kettle black (as I've had my eye on some wonderfuls myself) 2. I honestly don't think Travis can be monogamous. I'm certain he wasn't w/me, although I don't dwell on it anymore, but my certainly was further solidified when his pattern of behavior continued w/ his next girlfriend, Lisa Andrews. When he finally admitted that they had been dating, I felt so guilty. I almost wanted to tell her, it seemed only fair, but by then had already broken up and he had moved on to MiMi. Besides, not only would telling her destroy our friendship (mine & his), but it would cause a lot of unnecessary drama & pain. And just because Travis acted like a schmuck when it came to how he treated his previous girlfriends, doesn't mean he's incapable of learning how to be better. It's just that I've yet to see evidence of it. But perhaps it will be different w/ MiMi. One things for sure, I wouldn't want to be the "other girl" in that relationship, I couldn't handle the guilt. And these things don't necessarily discount all of his other amazing qualities. He's done more for me than I could ever count. He's helped me in every area of my life. I am indebted to him for all of the wonderful things he's done. He's just so dang hot & cold. Bi-polar even, it would seem. But I have a gazillion memories we've created that I will always value, just like the ones w/ Bobby, Matt, and Darryl. All unique. All special, all priceless
Anyway, one thing I do know is it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I'm saddened, yes, but it feels like a conclusion, like closure. The the final chapter was finally written, and the ending was bitter-sweet. He said on some level, we will always be friends, but we both agreed that it's better this way. It's true. And it's very much in alignment w/ the email I sent him a few days ago. He'll be so much better off this way spiritually & emotionally. And I'll start dating for real again soon. Not this casual fill-in-your-Friday-night stuff. I won't miss his teasing or his bi-polar tendencies to snap and yell and say things he ends up regretting, but I will miss his sense of humor. We still have his car to take care of, but he'll keep me posted on any new developments. He said if all else fails, then we'll just scrap it, but I would (the end)
Wow, that kinda DOES sound a little bit fake, eh?
Like:
Even little things like that.Besides, not only would telling her destroy our friendship (mine & his), but...
Why would she have to clarify whose friendship she was talking about when SHE was the one who wrote it, so she would know who she was talking about.
It just sounds... I dunno... off?
Then again what comes out of her mouth that doesn't sound off in some way or another?
Why didn't you PM me this lovely comment? Instead you are risking the integrity and longevity of this wonderful thread ...yet again. Very annoying indeed. Since you don't allow anyone to PM you, you leave me no choice but to respond to your sad and transparent vitriol.
Wow!! So much for the nice and sweet and apologetic PM you sent me the other day and all the XO's at the end of a couple reps toward me?
Are you insane?
People will believe what they want to believe. It's called life. I don't waste my time convincing. I don't care nor... do I have to.
No one gets to distort, deform or misconstrue my opinions, my beliefs or any factual information I lay down. If you do, you will be corrected as many times as it takes for you to stop. Period. It's called Freedom of Speech. If you don't like it then get your ass to China.
Oh, BTW there is something called the "ignore" button. You are aware. Please use it instead of choosing to read my posts (You read them, honey. No one made you) . Now please leave me alone. Thanks.

^^^THIS!!! When he comes roaring out of the gate with those behaviors, I start putting him on auto-tune.
This constant posturing (my dear daddy would refer to him as a Banty rooster, tiny but chest puffed out proving how tough he is in the barnyard) and elevated voice (and, no, I do not buy it comes off louder on TV, as the witnesses themselves mention the raised tone of voice), anything of relevance that comes out of his questioning I'll likely miss as I've gone into "an autotune fog" where I mentally put him on "mute".
I would most assuredly not have the decorum nor the patience to be on the witness stand, even at $300 an hour, to be berated, humiliated, my credentials and character attacked, pens and papers slammed in frustration at what he perceives to be my idiocy, etc.
I just feel he has some HUGE points to make...but he's so busy acting as if EVERY little strike is some huge revelation that I'm afraid some of it is going to be lost on the jury. I'm not that much of an anomaly. I've no doubt there's at least 1 juror on there who reflects the same feeling a few of us on this forum have.
I do hope he has a helluva rebuttal case and closing planned. I'll be able to absorb a lot more of his content if he's not belaboring at an increased octave whether or not the dwarves lived in a shack or a cottage. OMFG.
The Arias Trial - The Wonders Never Stop.
And if anyone misconstrues my opinion of the worshipped JM as my being Pro-Jodi or a JAII refugee, I would invite you ever so politely to stash that misperception straight up your wazoo. TWICE.

Poppym, you are awesome.
I agree, she's basically sat up there and called someone who suffered the ultimate in domestic violence a perpetrator who brought it on himself. How his family have managed to keep composure is beyond me, it goes to show just how badly they wish for justice for Travis, that they haven't got up out of their seats and shouted or even smacking ALV round the face for even approaching Samantha (which i would have been sorely tempted to do if i had been her).

I think we get it. You and coconut are not fans of JM. Ok. Fine
I for one have no problem whatsoever with Juan.
Most of us here are disgusted with the defense witnesses(s). I have listened to the latest expert tell me what was in Travis mind and all the other bull shit that came from her mouth. I am excited with anticipation and glee knowing what is in store for ALV come next week. We have sat patiently through this crap. It is now time for the Juan haters and the other JA fans to sit back and watch what Juan does to the credibility of the witness.
It's his job. He likes his job. I get it.
She sounds very fake. Also sounds like she lies to her diary and herself (maybe that's the same thing) She acts like she doesn't care about MiMi, but yet she writes over and over again about MiMi.
Now that I think back, I remember JM bringing up to Jodi some points about the handwriting changes and her post scattered all over the place. Leads me to think he was trying to bring up the fact that maybe some of these diary entries were made after Travis was killed.
ETA:
I have the death diary entry. It's a LONG one.

That makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that some entries (or jus plain ALL of them) were fake. Some just seem to read like they are meant for someone other than her to read 'em. Then there's the interrogation tapes where she is telling the detective where they are. Who does that? I wouldn't want someone reading my journals, that's for sure =/
Not, actually not entirely true, DC. I thought he did AMAZING with Jodi on the stand and was able to get much more out of her when he was engaging in less posturing or shouting and having more of a pointed, yet toned down exchange.
For example, regarding the stab wounds..."Let's count them together, shall we?" was BRILLIANT.
Regarding the loaded or unloaded gun, "Well, what were you going to do, throw it at him?" BRILLIANT.
Regarding the apparently/allegedly not returned 3rd gas can, "Would you be surprised to know that Walmart has no record of a return for a gas can on that day?" Again, BRILLIANT.
When he slapped up that picture of Travis dead in the shower and asked Jodi to mark where she was in relation to the shower, that was unexpected and, again, BRILLIANT. Absolutely ovation-worthy brilliant.
And numerous other examples where, when presented in a much more controlled manner, really impressed me.
It's not that I'm not a fan of JM, per se, it's just I feel he does his best work when his approach is less abrasive. And I fear that there is at least 1 juror on there, who, like me a few others here who find his tactics off-putting and might miss one of those "home run" moments that we've all see him deliver.
As I said, I'm hoping he has one helluva rebuttal case coming and I'm really looking forward to his closing as well. I think (hope?) he's going to tie up a lot of those things that seem like loose ends at the moment and really bring everything full circle. I'm hoping he lives up to all of his fans' hype and, on some level, I suspect he will.
ETA:
I say this with all due respect, but rather than suggest another member with whose opinion you disagree belong at JAII or is annoying, there's this neat little feature on this forum called an "ignore" button if you don't care to read someone's posts.
You're relatively new here and this is not the first time I've seen you try to insult others whose opinions do not coincide with your own.
Instead of starting petty drama within the thread, I would suggest you employ the ignore feature.
And if Coconut "annoys" you because of his views, I would suggest you employ that feature on him.
And as he and I tend to think alike on certain issues, I would suggest you add me as well. I've been a member on this forum since 2006...I've no intention of curbing my opinions that I am free to express because *some* members might find me annoying.
It's the internet. It's a forum.
Thank you.

Here's another diary entry from June 10-17 (again, the spelling mistakes are probably mine)
Tuesday 12:50 am-ish June 10, 2008
Dan Freeman just called me. I was excited to hear from him. I immediately began to say how I might be making a trip out there soon and he softly responded w/ yes, I think you're going to have to make a trip out here soon. Then he told me. It was about Travis. But he couldn't really tell me anything. He just said something was wrong. I don't know what's going on and I need some answers. I'm praying that there has been a mistake. I tried calling his phone. Nothing for the first time I've called, his voice mail box was full. For some reason Disneyland keeps flashing in my mind. At night. Maybe because that's the last time we were there. I called Brint Hiatt's number over & over. Nothing. I'm going crazy and I feel so helpless being all the way here in CA.
Tuesday 3 am June 10, 2008
This is horrendous. The most awful thing I've ever had to deal with. I am in total shock right now. It hasn't fully hit me. This can't really be real. This just can't be happening. I spoke w/ Bishop Layton. He confirmed that Travis is dead. What happened?!? Travis, what is this?
Wednesday 6-11-08
So I've been numb mostly. But last night was extremely hard. I broke down as I finally bought myself around to going to bed. It was 2:30 am. I wanted so badly to call Travis, but knowing he wouldn't answer was too much to bear. And knowing he wasn't calling me anytime soon was just killing me. I broke down as I climbed in bed, and cried and cried & cried until I fell asleep.
Thurs 6-12-08
It just feels like he hasn't called me in too long. I hear him singing, I hear him laugh.
Friday 6-13-08
Norman-Servery-Mums, or Mummerus (sp?) got her flowers today. I sent 20 white Irises. Travis always told me that like the name Iris for a girl. That & Hinckley, Regan, or Megan. I'll take Iris, thank you very much. He liked Ivan for a boy's name. If I ever have a son, I'll name him Alexander.
I miss Travis more then words can say. It's weird, I was getting so used to communicating less frequently w/him, finally building up other areas of my life, but his passing has bought up so many things, so many old feelings. It almost feels like I broke up w/ him again, and thus the separation, I don't know. I just don't know. This can't really be real...
Travis,
I have so much to thank you for. I'm grateful that I ceased the opportunity to do so on so many occasions, being aware that you were a "words of affirmation" kind of guy. Thank you for all you've done for me. Thank you for opening your home to me more times than I could count. "My refrigerator is you refrigerator"
Thank you for all of the time you called me up in the early evening and told me to go outside and look at the sunset.
Travis, this can't really be real. I know you hated that kind of thinking. After we broke up, I stopped wearing the CTR ring you gave me, but it's back on my finger now. I didn't have the slightest clue that when we met at the Rainforest Cafe that you'd have such a lasting and profound impact on my life. It seems fitting that we should meet @ the Rainforest Cafe, being the environmentally forward people that we are. You care so much about this planet, always encouraging us to take care of it, reminding us of its role in God's eternal plan.
Thank you for believing in my skills as a photographer and an artist.
Tue June 17, 2008
My little brother's b-day. I'm having yet another surreal experience sitting here on the floor of the family room of the Freeman's, w/a most unlikely combination of people: Dan Freeman, Tammy Kind, Aaron Dewey, Aaron Mortensen, Diana Lilly, Ash Lesbard (SP?) and another guy I don't know. What's more is we're all sitting here with Travis. Robb Report Magazines strewn (sp?) about the floor, thumbing through them. It was Dan's idea to do so. It's difficult to look at the same covers that I've gazed upon in the previous months while being @ his house. It brings me right back to his kitchen, where all of the mail sat on the island. This feels like I'm going to wake up and it will be one of those random dreams filled w/ random people and symbolism I could only attempt to interpret.
Tonight I went to the police station to give "elimination prints" The guy who took them is LDS, so is the main detective. I wore my BYU shirt and he asked me if I had been to the "Y" Proudly, and w/a tone of sentimentality, I said Travis gave me this shirt for Christmas. It makes me cry now, but I don't want to be dramatic, so I 've got to keep my composure, especially in front of these people. I write the word "Christmas" I used to write or text "X-mas" but Travis told me last year "don't write that, think of what you're omitting. He was referring to the word "Christ". Since then, I spell it all the way out.
I keep seeing superstition Mountain. It loomed like a beautiful giant on the horizon today as Aaron Dewey & I drove to the church, where I was scheduled to meet Bishop Layton of the Desert Ridge Ward. We had a really good heart to heart. He didn't judge me. Aaron told me that it would the right thing, and I'm glad I did it.
Travis once told me I would make a good missionary. I love Travis. I miss him. I just want one (the end)
