Not sure if anyone posted this.
Maybe the Alexander's were crying because of finding out that a juror had doubt in the prosecution's case?? (Which means there may be more doubt to be found with the other jurors??)

Martinez doesn't like it when you try to take the higher ground with him.HE'S asking the questions. He ask's descriptive questions as yes or no questions. His approach is combative.

I'd have shot back a lot worse than what LaViolette did insinuating possibly a little short man syndrome causing that misdirected anger of his...or I'd end up being cited for contempt because I'd refuse to answer him until he ratcheted down the volume of that shit.

These are expert witnesses, well-credentialed and well-educated and well-paid.

I have no problem with him attacking the SOURCE of their conclusions, the liar known as Jodi Arias, but I have a big problem with him prattling on and on about that ridiculous Snow White fuckery when AL told him numerous times that was *not* the topic but rather a catchy title. It's like he gets himself so locked into some irrelevant trivial bullshit and will. not. back. down.

Like I said, that little man come out of gate screaming at me in that hostile tone, I'd either give as good as he gave or sit there mute and risk a cite for contempt of court but I wouldn't acknowledge him until he backed that shit off.

I'm hoping for the best in his rebuttal case and closing but right now I think he looks like an absolute ass up there, screaming at the witness about Snow White when she NUMEROUS times told him it was a catchy title, NOT the topic of the actual seminar or whatever fuckery it was.

I fail to see what he's hoping to gain by screaming at these witnesses in such a hostile manner (well, unless when it was JA on the stand, but he got the best shit out of JA when he talked in a normal, regulated tone of voice). Christ, Martinez, take a Xanax if you need to but chill the fuck out on some of these people.

For the record, I personally think AL is somewhat predispositioned to blame men in cases of abuse but I don't think trying to berate/humiliate/degrade her in front of that jury is going to accomplish much.

Much better strategy to attack the source of THIS case than to attack the witness.

BTW, I also can't help but wonder if Jodi didn't spend the 6 weeks before her arrest burning the midnight oil at the Grandparents' place carefully rewriting that 2008 journal to include a few little "extra" entries...and maybe even more than the 2008 one. I don't think she's doing in it jail...I think she did it laying the groundwork for her alibi, kind of like she was tailoring her stories to Flores to match the forensics. I think that's why she wanted them find those journals...she knew what she'd written in them.

Can someone please explain the conflicting stories on Juror 5? One one hand, she has sympathy for the accused murderer. On the other hand, it was the defense that gave her the boot. Not adding up. If she did indeed have sympathy for JA, is she bright enough to figure out that her presence in the courtroom as an observer may cause a mistrial? What will be more interesting is finding out what the other jurors think of this whole deal.

    I was thinking :)

Robert Brown, the Computer dude for Mesa PD that JM added to his rebuttal list - http://www.linkedin.com/pub/robert-brown/39/a51/513
Interesting part of his CV on linkedin
I may determine the details of intrusions into computer systems, recover data from encrypted or erased files, and recover e-mails and deleted passwords.

Also, the journals of killer. Reviewed her parents videos today which both parents and Flores pointed out her paranoid privacy issues. Those journals and her pointing cops to them so quickly don't add up to her profile of that paranoia.

Last, her ninja story. Flores and the female det gave her tons of ammo for this story. But .. Anyone know exactly how much Flores revealed to her about the blood? Did he tell her it was alll up the hall? If not, then that would be proof imo there is no fog since she put Travis bleeding a lot and I got him halfway up the hall. WHY the need to put him up the hall or have knowledge of any blood up the hall if her 'fog' doesn't know and Flores didn't tell her. Not that I think there is a fog, but this just ran across my mind as proof against her if Flores didn't tell her the blood went up the hall.

no no, didn't mean that harsh to you, some people will sign it I'm sure! It's always better to pass on any info and let each have their own take on it which is all I was doing.
My concern would be that people will take the easy route and then not take more effort to follow through with the hard work it takes to truly change things like this. It's not fast nor easy but if you really believe in it, it can make a difference with hard work and sticking with it.

I think there was a bigger reason for juror5 showing up in court Thursday. She seemed friendly with the court clerk. She was photographed by WildAboutTrials walking away from the courthouse with the clerk. Judge Stephens didn't seem surprised when she announced that 5 was there as an observer.
Has she made another statement? Someone posted she said the court called her? If so, it would have been the clerk calling for the judge.

If I may, Dear Coconut! It's a strategy! (In my opinion) He comes out of the gate, with guns blazing, until he achieves submission! This is aided by the rules of the court! Because with guns blazing, and his obvious, obnoxious, attacking demeanor, the witness is forced into their most defensive position!

In this state, they are obviously going to violate court rules i.e, asking the prosecutor questions, (Big No No!) or making statements about the personality of the prosecutor (They won't win that one - It's irrelevant). So his aim is to treat the witness as hostile! In fact, in court, you used to have to ask, as a Prosecutor, for permission from the Judge to do this!

Once he has you there, and we have seen it EVERY time in this case, i.e. the witnesses start answering 'Yes' or 'No' as required! Martinez can begin his work!

It is very animalistic, in my opinion! And I didn't understand at first, but it works for him!

but ... SHE didn't say the court called her, her mother offered that up in the article. I just checked to see if the video they promised to have up of this interview is there but it is not.
WAT photographed her with 'someone'. Not the female clerk from court, it was a guy. Some speculated news and its looking like that might be right after all.

What I found VERY interesting is her JODI carbon copy word for word 'someone encouraged me'
And "I wanted to be on this trial" those kind are too often crackpot types. Where does she get 4 months from? Trial started in January!

I mostly agree but he didn't come out guns blazing. He came out normal, asked several questions and it wasn't until AL got pissy he gave it right back.

First of all can we all please note that by Alyce's own definition she is now an abuser. After spending 7 days on the witness stand testifying for the murderer and performing Character Assassination on the murder victim based on the word of a proven liar and admitted killer, Alyce then approached a murder victim's sister when she was seated alone and emotionally vulnerable. If that ain't abuse...

She's lucky she didn't get a backhand. I sincerely hope JM asks her on the stand why she approached Samantha and what she said to her. I sincerely hope that Alyce is reprimanded in open court by Judge Stephens (before Jury brought in) and that the defense is told in no uncertain terms to knock it the fuck off!

Katie Wick, who worked as spokeswoman last year for Arizona Republican Congressional candidate Travis Grantham, tells New Times that she once wanted to be a prosecutor. She's in court nearly every day and has made weekly appearances on CNN, including with Dr. Drew.

LaViolette, leaning back in her chair, allows an ear to ear, closed mouth, smile to spread across her face. This is the smile is the smug! A sense of superiority that comes when you think you are winning. In fact she even pauses here to enjoy it, as if she had just been awarded the last piece of pie in a game of trivial pursuits!

Alyce: "The Family of Origin issues (Alyce has raised her hand, almost pointing to the document with confidence) we are talking about here Mr Martinez, are the Family of Origin issues for the perpetrator!" (Her abrupt reply and upward tone, implies victory)

Juan: "Okay! In other words! In this case, you see Mr Alexander as the perpetrator? You don?t see him as the victim?"

    Alyce: "No!"

    Juan: "And so it's...."

Alyce: "Well...I see....In....I am looking at Domestic Violence, and in regard to Domestic Violence, I am seeing Mr Alexander as the perpetrator!.....Yes!"

Okay! The worst definition of ?irony?, is Alanis Morissette's! Lets not kid ourselves!

But running a very close 2nd, is LaViolette?s backbiting exposition, in this short cross that we witnessed with Juan Martinez on Thursday.

She feigned ignorance when pulling herself back from her declaration, that she did not see Travis as a victim in this case. She realized that she was in a situation in which there is a massive incongruity between the literal and the implied meaning! How could she not??

29 stab wounds! A gunshot wound to the face! And a knife drawn so severely across this man?s throat, as to sever his carotid artery and wind pipe! Not to mention, the severity of the defensive wounds to his hands!!

From beyond the grave, this is to date, the ONLY TESTIMONY OF TRAVIS ALEXANDER, as to what happened to him that day! These defensive wounds, corroborate wholly, who was in possession of the power that day! As his testimony entered the court through autopsy pictures, it is indisputable, as factual, that he was absolutely without power, on June 4th 2008!

Horror of horrors! Probably more horror than she has ever had to witness or hear of, in a typical Domestically Violent situation that she may have encountered in her work! Especially, if you are to absorb her observations of what she deems as ?Domestic Violence? in this case!!

For what, pray tell, could be more Domestically Violent, than being brutally murdered in your own home, in your bedroom, in your own shower, by someone you had just had intimate relations with??? What situation did she find in Arias' fabricated experience, or in her testimony regarding numerous, unrelated cases, involving married women and children, and those in common-law partnerships etc, that could have transcended the catastrophic fate of Travis Alexander?

I think someone should have said to LaViolette, as the Judge said Arias, when she attempted to represent herself as counsel, "You Ma'am, are in over your head!"

Should Ms LaViolette be held accountable for her actions? By both the prosecutor and her peers? Most definitely! Not just for being an advocate for the 'wrong side', but for defiling a true victim of Domestic Violence, and all those in the future who find themselves in terrible legal situations, because of the abuse they have suffered at the hands of another!

Alyce's greatest irony, is that while sits in a courtroom, in support of a liar, she is drastically and obviously hurting the authentic victims of Domestic Violence whom she claims to care for, help, and be a spokesperson for!

    More than sad!
JM was masterful. I've said from the beginning that Alyce wasn't doing herself or her cause any favors.

Exactly! She was so paranoid about her privacy she kept her sacred journals in a fire proof safe!

With the computer dude I expect see further evidence there was no porn/pedo on TA's computer and I'm really hoping to see evidence that Stabby hacked TA's social media/email accounts. If TA believed she did and he then changed his passwords and there is proof that she tried to access his accounts again that will put to bed her lie about the "shared" passwords which I don't believe for a second.

Yup, right there with you! I got my quotes and multi quotes screwed up, was going to mention the passwords in that post, then forgot. I think JM is going to have the computer guru verify how long TA had the computer too. [Gus jr tried to imply TA might have had a different one].

I think the one thing JM blew though is the blonde hair dyed for the murder. That one he's left alone hoping it will die of loneliness.

And what nerve she had, saying ANYTHING to any of Travis's family! Utmost insensitivity to the pain they are enduring! Expert, my ass..

I disagree! Please don't distort my words! Please re-listen to the testimony.....(arf,arf) "I thought I was someone else there for a moment!" Must have been in a Fog!

Yes! Not quite 'guns blazing' this time. But you know what I mean! I think he's trying to get them in a place where they feel intimidated by the rules of the court! I don't necessarily think that this is Juan's best attribute (not as a juror I wouldn't), unless I could see it the way that I do now!

But, it's much more interesting when he calms down from that, and begins the work, so to speak! The problem is, he won't stay there! He'll get cantankerous again at will! He can't help it! Sometimes, he seems like a young boy! In his movements, especially! They are like the passions of a teenager? Maybe I'm wrong? Don't know? Just something I intuit from him!
