Morning Session, Includes motion to sequester jury.
Nurmi is just going to piss off the jurors if he's eyeing them constantly. All the jurors must mind their P's and Q's cause Nurmi and Jodi have their eyes glued to them like hawks ready to strike.
That's gonna bite the defense in the ass when it comes down to deliberations.
I kinda tuned out. Have Wilmott & Alyce gotten to the part where Travis caused these high gas prices & North Korea acting all weird yet, since everything he did caused irreparable destruction, apparently?
HLN just played a snippet of Juan's opening. I had heard the partial audio, but to see him in action was riveting, and it was definitely a part of his opening I had never heard before. He explained to the jury how she "thanked him" for his kindess by slitting his throat, shooting him in the head...Something along those lines, I'm really NOT doing it justice, but it should be great viewing.
I thought about that so my plan is to wear a shirt over it then take the shirt off at about 4:25. Do you think they will hold me in contempt? Promise? I'm not afraid to make a statement if so.
That's a good one!
Now, that would be a neat trick!
Yes, it's on the docket....woohoo!
I definitely agree that something might be going on with Jodi and Donovan. I missed this morning, but I just watched the YouTube video showing Jodi watching the jury enter and then watching them exit. Each time she turns and gives Donovan a very distinctive look.
Maybe Donovan is going to try to photograph the jurors and then get them published on the Internet or news? Combine this with Nurmi asking for a mistrial and sequestration of the jury this morning. I could totally see Jodi trying to cause a mistrial.
Hmmmmm, we will have to wait and see what happens. If I were the prosecution, I'd consider hiring a private detective to follow Donovan for the next few days.

Like that scene from the movie Airplane!, where all the passengers line up to smack the hysterical woman.
I agree. There are several points where it seems odd, not the kind of things people say to themselves in a diary/journal.
I suppose she would have had time to manufacture a fake journal between the date of the murder and when she was arrested. The clever way to do that would be to just buy a new journal to start fresh, copy most of the entries verbatim, and stick in the details you feel you need in new entries or additions to old ones, so that it all appears seamless. On the other hand, before she was arrested, I think she probably thought she would get away with her crime, so faking a journal at that point seems odd. Unless she was concerned they were suspicious of her, or just wanted to hedge her bets just in case the worst happened?
I doubt they they would have let her have the original of her journal in jail, even when she was acting as her own attorney for a week, and not sure that would have been enough time for her to make changes anyway.
It's a mystery.

The only diary entry that came thru for me was May 22, 2008, and goes up to page 8, nothing more. Anyone else ever see any part of this diary entry before today? I don't remember it, but my memory is foggy and facts are running together and over each other. This entry is very wordy compared to her other entries and even appears to be more informational than the others we've seen. To me that's odd, like someone else said, a setup, written after the murder laying out facts so no one would read it and suspect her...as they'd "had the talk." She really thought she would get away with it. She didn't know she'd left evidence at the scene! The entry makes it sound like she was over Travis, yet HE was still interested. Very odd. Especially in light of what we have heard and seen in trial and media.
I guess ALV's seminar is just one day then. Not much rest for her in the next few days, especially with the seminar in the middle. And then JUAN!!!!
Juror 5 was turned in by an anonymous phone call, saying she was giving Jodi signals. Some think Donovan made the call.
