Psychopathic need for control, typical defy authority and rules. Options for her psychopath games are limited in jail, so a girl has to do what she can. Think of it as a compulsion, a NEED she can't deny, it drives her.

Twitter link with YouTube clip, where Jodi talks about Travis getting mad about Jo(h)n Dixon. Apparently it coincided with the whole backpack drama. https://twitter.com/starknightz/stat...73742737666049

Apparently Jodi wrote a "detailed" diary entry about a date that she claimed was platonic before.

    Blah blah.

More testibaloney about Jodi ripping out pages about the "weekend I spent with John Dixon". Starts about 15 minutes in.

Honestly? I think there was more to them than platonic, and yeah, I still feel his staged picture was a mock-up of Travis/Jodi, and beyond tasteless.

But yeah, I'm dropping that line of conversation now, I've probably run it into the ground.

There's also a claim, here: http://callsforjustice.wordpress.com...-twenty-seven/ -- by Jodi that she ripped out diary pages relating to John Dixon because Travis would allegedly have read them and gotten pissed.

Doubt Travis would've gotten pissed since he was dating others and telling her to do the same, but, I think it goes to show that there was at least something going on with John Dixon and Jodi, that she claims she wrote about it in her diary and then ripped the pages out.
Hey Blonde, didn't JA also say she dated Dixon twice? I know I know, pants on fire input lol

What I found of interest in that statement is as soon as Flores said something like, so you had suspicions, the mom jumps to 'well someone had died' like that would be a natural question for us all to ask when someone dies?

Prosecution has used it . The trial isn't over yet, but I have confidence Mr Martinez is competent to decide which parts hold solid value

I don't believe Jodi loved him at all. I believe she was obsessed with him and wanted to own/control him.

Travis mentioned gold-diggers in one of his blog entries. I believe that's what Jodi was. She was a social climber. Travis wasn't rich by any means, but he could have offered her a much better lifestyle than being stuck in a tiny little bedroom in her grandparents house, where she moved from job to job, had no money, and her car was being repossessed.

Travis meant a big fancy house, nice car, trips, and whatever else she thought she was entitled to be given. I think she tried it with Darryl -- even then he was twice her age -- because he had nicer things and they bought that house together, and she thought they were going to be some real estate moguls, flipping houses. But, Darryl had no intention of marrying Jodi, and he put his son first by moving around wherever his ex-wife did.

Jodi glommed on to Travis as soon as she met him, while she was still living with Darryl, and was trying to move further up the social ladder.

To Travis, Jodi was a temporary good time, until he settled down. He wasn't going to give her all those things she thought he should and that she deserved.

I think ithat's why she tried dating Abe, and John Dixon. Dixon supposedly could do something for her -- put her art in galleries (yeah right) -- so he was of some value. I assume Dixon was stringing Jodi along with the gallery bs, looking to get himself "some". Abe, I believe, was further up the PPL food chain than Travis was, but he saw Jodi simply as a piece of ass and nothing more. She wasn't going to sink her hooks into him.

Jodi seemed to be overtly and inappropriately sexual to men she just met, and I think it was because she was looking to gold-dig/climb the social ladder. Those other men had some resistance to her, but Jodi found Travis' kryptonite; using sex to control a frustrated/repressed man-child, who was trying to do right, but failing when it came to lust/sex.

She felt Alexander had a lot of sexual tension, which made her feel used and dirty, the email says.

Diadoni wrote in the lengthy email that she had asked Alexander not to "grab her butt," especially in public, but she did not feel he was really listening to her. She said she also asked him not to talk about sex so much "but he did anyway," and she did not feel like he cared how she felt.

Alexander, according to Diadoni's email, asked for compliments often and did not share the same values that she embraced. She also said he overreacted a lot."
And she wanted to end the relationship and she did, she felt disrespected and and she let him know it. Couldn't Jodi have done the same, instead she drove 1000 miles to feel used like a piece of toilet paper...it was debasing and she liked it!

I can't remember. But in that one YT video, she and Nurmi are talking about her ripping the pages out of her diary. Some of the pages were supposedly detailing the weekend that she spent with John Dixon, and that Travis got mad about it and it led to the "backpack fight" when they were hiking or whatever with the Freeman siblings.

At one point, Jodi had described the date with Dixon as "platonic", yet she wrote some long, detailed diary entry. Supposedly Travis saw it when he took her stuff out of the backpack when she was trying to take too much, makeup or whatever.

If there even was this alleged entry and IF this even was the real reason for their fight, my bet is Jodi wrote it up and left it around on purpose, for Travis to find, in another one of her attempts to make him jealous.

I really don't think he cared if she dated someone else; except maybe, as someone else said, he didn't want to catch some disease if she was whoring around.

That's O.K. It was once a very common and useful saying to keep some people's egos in check. I suppose it is amenable to updating. Former smokers can apply.

The quote I really like, (although I don't quite know why), is from Golda Meir, when she was Prime Minister of Israel. One of her Generals was disagreeing with her and started off by saying,

"In my humble opinion, Madame Prime Minister............." Meir interrupted him right away.

"Don't humble yourself. You're not that great to start with."

I would never say that to anybody. I just like it.

I'll stop now. Enjoy the trial day everybody. I'm skipping out for another long trek to the eye doctor.

What a bizarre entry in a journal......although when i saw pages from it used in the trial they do sometimes seem 'off' like they are not written from the heart, not spur of the moment, but very thought out. I've also posted on here before that the sexy time pics from their final day together (or at least the Jodi ones) seem very stilted.

How is it decided what can and can't be entered? Forgive my ignorance on all legal things! But if the prosecution wanted to enter journal/video evidence of Jodi how does it then get to be refused? Thanks in advance to you all, and also massive thanks for all video/picture/write ups of this trial as i live across the pond and it doesn't start until 5.30pm i can't indulge in watching live, so you all help tell me the story as it is unfolding
p.s i've just previewed and i've done it, broken my 'quote virginity' because i'm finally reading this on a laptop yay!!!

I wonder if Travis even knew those pictures of the last day had been taken. I think it was all a set up to blackmail him and when it didn't work she went with the first plan which was to kill him.

He could have been, there's guys and gals that don't want them but don't want them serious with anyone else too. I don't try to think much about those things. I think it's really minutiea the defense likes to throw out to confuse the real issues ... Premediatation and murder. Juan's going to bring it all back to the front soon :)
In the meantime with this unbelievable social worker, you just know he's going to come out with a dr samuels question
Ma'am, you don't have MD after your name, correct?
You aren't a medical doctor are you?

I can dream for these hahahaha

Yes i wonder that too. The first one he could definitely be unaware of, although i do think he might have known she was up to something when he was giving her the fingers. However in the US you also do that as a 'peace' sign don't you? I just think the ones of her don't really seem naughty or sexy (to me anyway) they just seem very 'sexy pics by numbers'. But on the flip side maybe because thats of what happened after the pics, makes me view her very differently to how i normally would when i see mucky pics

I wonder did she slip up that day 'well you think you're so perfect, what would the church/hughes/mimi etc think when they see these pictures, when they find out you've been keeping me your secret?'
I have an absolute huge curiosity to know what happened that day. What was communicated, what was said or unsaid, all leading down to the moment that something clicked and it stopped being a thought in her mind and turned into something she couldn't turn back from?

I don't know why I'm chiming in here but the thread has not yet exploded for today, so here goes.

As I recall, Arias's Mother quoted her daughter as saying, "I can prove I wasn't in Arizona, I have gas receipts."

However, when you compare the two statements carefully, the meaning is the same, so it doesn't really matter what the exact quote is. The 'true' facts are only intended to support the deceptive conclusion. A typical Jodi Arias discombobulation....err...another effen lie! Can we start calling them 'Jodians?' Like in "you're jodian me?"

I didn't interpret their ribbons as a mockery...it does pale in comparison to having their throats slashed, though. Ugh.
Her Dad is on dialysis. He was badly injured a motorcycle accident years ago. Where do we see confirmation of "a lot of abuse" in Stabby's family? From Stabby? She's a proven liar. Her family and supporters didn't bother wearing the DV ribbons until Alyce took the stand.

Stabby was her own attorney for a very limited amount of time, from 8/8/11 to 8/15/11 as per the minutes, and while she may have had access to evidence, there is no way she would have been left alone with it.

There was another journal entry where she talked about eradicating the source of her distress, of using a mental round-up to kill it. I'll have to look for it.

Mom & Dad videos are hearsay. I don't think defense wants either on the stand, which means they need to keep the whole family off the stand.

Oh yeah, you can see the distress in her face as distraught as she was after having murdered Travis ..... NOT!

The quote I really like, (although I don't quite know why), is from Golda Meir, when she was

Prime Minister of Israel.

    Love that Golda Goodie

Just popping in to remind people to stay on track with the decent dialogue today. It seems that the reminders help.

No bashing, name calling, homophobia, or mini-modding, please.

We're loathe to lock the thread. If folks can't get along, they'll be getting a break from MDS. I know a lot of you are truly passionate about this case and the trial. Just keep it cool. And for those of you that are, a sincere thank you!

I don't recall who mentioned it but the 600 pages of journal entries that HLN is doling out, they got them from ABC. This was drilled into my head as I was waiting like a junkie for more clips of Stabby's parents in their police interviews.

My only point was it was HAVE receipts not didn't have. We know she was pointing to Utah from the planning her alibi time :) Bring me some Walmart.

"I know it was the weekend" [dad talking about when JA found out and cried all 'weekend'. Interesting, since she killed him on a Wed, and he was found on a Monday!

As for the journal entries Wilmott is using to show that Jodi had no jealousy toward Travis at all, only love, all Martinez has to do on cross is put up the entry for June 9, 2008 where she wrote "OMG I just found out Travis is dead! WHO could have done such a thing?" (paraphrasing.) So the journal is more lying, therefore out the window too, leaving basically nothing.

I don't think the DT ever thought they had a chance at selling self-defense but they gave it their best shot. Nurmi has looked totally defeated and checked-out for weeks. Wilmott seems to be into it though...

But seriously, who lies when writing in their DAMN JOURNAL??!!!
The defense started their case on day 10 of the trial. Witnesses for the defense have been: Gus Searcy, Daryl Brewer, Lisa Andrews Dadoni, Desiree Freeman, Dan Freeman, and Lonnie a computer expert. Jodi took the stand on Day 13.
No kidding, the Freemans and Lisa were supposed to be defense witnesses!

Silly thought kept coming to mind during ALV's testimony. What's JM supposed to do - cross examine Jodi's journals? Never saw anything like this crap in all of my trial watching. ALV is some kind of interpreter of writings? It's beyond ridiculous.
