I noticed that right-handed attempt at writing. If anyone's interested it's on Tape 17/18, along with the sandwich performance. However, did you or anyone notice that her production was probably only five or six lines of script? Jodi Arias was given the pad and the writing instrument in response to her rather (false) wistful comment that she wished she could somehow console Travis's family by 'telling them what happened; from the heart.' (I'm paraphrasing. This was just after disclosing the Ninja story, wasn't it?) Left alone to do so, she came up with nothing. It seems that her most fulsome and creative lying is triggered most effectively in response to the stimuli of questions from others--a skill she has obviously perfected over a lifetime. That's totally consistent with her performance on the witness stand. The real heavy-duty lethal damage, (the 18 page letter to Travis's family), took more time than what was allowed to her in the interrogation room. All she managed to do there is to demolish the sandwich and try to steal a few sheets of paper and, of course, bamboozle the female detective who confronted her with an appeal to ease the suffering of Travis's parents who were already deceased. Jodi Arias knew that, but let the detective carry on for quite a while before informing her of that fact. She must have secretly savored those triumphant little psycho moments while she was playing the detective. Was it a sign of how demented she is? Imagine how difficult it must have been for Travis to come to recognize those traits as an essential ingredient of Jodi Arias's character, especially coming just a few short months after he had assured his skeptical friends, the Hughes's that, "Yes! She is that nice." Shortly thereafter, his life was over.
ETA:It would be good to hear it first-hand from someone who heard it from Travis--and believed it. Jodi Arias is the only one who goes on and on about it and her description of being a 'couple,' 'being in a committed relationship, etc.' has such a perverse tone to it that it doesn't resonate in any way with what I've experienced, understand and recognize as boyfriend/girlfriend togetherness.

I'm brand new here. And totally obsessed with this case. I can't even go pick my kid up from school and walk away from the computer....I have to have it on my iphone so I can listen while I'm waiting for her to get out!
Bottom line, she's guilty as hell. And I get irritated just looking at her.

Welcome KatFrom what I know about this case is there are two 1st degree charges Murder in first DP and felony murder LWOP and there is a lesser 2nd degree charge that would set her free after some time, I believe you are right and it is manslaughter. Hope that helps.
Hln is reporting a possible mistrial now because of jury misconduct. Seems the younger female juror with the multi colored hair may have said something to another juror. Just briefly caught this on my way out the door this morning. Does anybody have more info??
If I was on that jury, I'd have my nervous breakdown by now. I can't fathom how they are able to not make a sound about anything, go home with their daily knowledge in their head, yet speak nary a word. Their minds must be in continual conflict. How can they shut all thoughts out and go with their daily lives?

I just wonder how they can keep away from tv/radio/internet, like they say they have to!? That'd drive me nuts to not be able to sneak a peak at what the news shows are saying!
Yeah, I almost got picked for jury duty down there before. They got us into a little room and were about to ask us the questions then sent us back down because the attorneys weren't ready. I can only imagine 4 months of this and not being able to even discuss it with my spouse, friends or family. That would get old very quickly. Heck, you can't even discuss it juror to juror. You are truly a man without a land so to speak.
I think all of this is why the jury should have been sequestered!
I think the admonition would be hard if the trial lasted a couple weeks, it must be even harder with it going on for so long. My best guess is that they probably do fudge a little, I just don't see how they can not at least talk to their closest friends and family about it. If it were me, I could not hold back talking to my spouse about it. I can not imagine being asked every night, "So, how was your day?" and not being able to say anything about it. I bet even Judge Stephens if she is married talks to her spouse about the trial.
1. Money, if they can't afford more Judges to free up scheudules where would the high cost of many months of sequestration come from?
2. Sequestration was a nightmare in the last high profile trial, it had the jurors hating each other, bullies took over and worst of all - they never even deliberated because they wanted out so fast.

Defense is really just trying to rid the jury of a female juror who isn't mesmerized by Arias and is obviously not likely to vote with Arias.
The rest is smoke, imo.
