Its too hard for me to think of a one-liner but one of my favorite exchanges is when JM pulls out JAs WAMU statement. That shit was priceless.

I think she expected a "Pyscho"-like scene, but Travis didn't go down that easily, he fought for his life - hard! She didn't expect such a huge mess and blood everywhere. She wanted it contained to the shower. She dragged his body back to the shower afterwards, because him being left in the shower was part of her original plan.

And to think if she told the truth and showed remorse, this trial would not be the "circus" that she has made it. Also, life in prison would be a guarantee. Fascinating to me that she chooses to test fate on such a brazen level. A true sociopath. No conscience. Her self-absorption is phenomenal.

Read her plea deal offer to the State, the one Martinez turned down...she thinks the worst she could get is 2nd degree and a real possibility of Manslaughter b/c of no criminal record and insufficient evidence (she thinks) to prove premed. I found it. This is the most mind-blowing violation of patient confidentiality I can imagine. Dr. Samuels has just revealed privileged information about his patient on national television. The best part, he wasn't even asked about it! He just threw it out there as a helpful example.

I do notice that when he is discussing Jodi she watches him like you would watch a bug, something outside of herself. At the same time the only times she seems engaged are when it is HER tht is being discussed. I wonder if this goes back to the interrogation tape when she asked Det. Flores what was different about how she acted and a "normal" person.

My personal guess is that was what she was doing with playing the notebook under her butt the other day. I speculated she was using it to pass notes to someone on her defense team who would then pass it to family/friend.

Saw one of the talking heads on HLN After Dark saying that it didn't make sense for Jodi to bring the knife if she already had the gun. Well, Jodi claims she never fired a gun. If she wasn't familiar, especially with using/firing, re-loading, or what happened if it jammed (something 25's are apparently prone to do); much less what kind of damage could be done with such a small gun, of course she would have a back-up.

I didn't catch much, but I hope one of their HLN "jury" brought up the fact that when Jodi was apprehended, she was attempting to flee her grandma's house with a gun and 2 KNIVES in her suitcase.

I have been guessing that she was probably passing along more of her "art" to be sold? Someone said she is allowed to pass messages to her mother but they told us about all the steps you need to go through to give your belongings to someone outside of the jail so whatever she was passing along was obviously not allowed.
The stupid HLN "jury" was something like 7 to 5 that she did take the knife vs she did not. They are not as bright as the real jury. One thing I did find interesting was when they rolled out how long that rope would actually be, that is absurd, who would have that type of thing in their bedroom? He could have wrapped her up like a mummy in that!

I do have a question, is the prosecution allowed to bring up the fact that when she was arrested she had the gun/knives with her? If not, can it be brought up during the penalty phase to show that she does show proclivity for violence again?

I have 12 bad reps and 12 good reps. Total of 24. I got into it with a couple members because I believe jokes about the people in this case should be kept to a minimum. This case is about life and death. Nothing to joke about no matter how much one hates the murderer. I cannot stand Arias... She is guilty beyond any case I have ever seen. However, she is a human being. I would rather study her than kill her.

I have not been able to keep up with this thread, so I apologize in advance if this has been touched on already.

Samuels mentioned that Jodi has a personality disorder. I don't remember the exact words, but they were talking about the PTSD and he said something like "she definitely has a personality disorder, but I don't know which one". Why the FUCK did he not look into that? I want to know what personality dosorder she has. I would imagine he did not look into it because it would not help the defense but Jeeeeeeezus.

The biggest blunder not related to the case was the breech in confidentiality. It took a matter of minutes to figure out who it was because he was too specific about it. As much as I don't like him, I wonder about his future.

A jury question asked about adrenaline yesterday. They wanted to know if your adrenaline output would increase if YOU were killing somebody. Then there were objections and a pause in the trial.
The question stood when they came back from the sidebar, and the dr was told to answer the question.

The dr answered the question by saying "it was possible, but not probable"
The next question from the jury was- If not, then why? And the dr. said people are different (in so many words)

If the doc really answered the question as 'it was possible, but not probable' he is trying to manipulate the jury. I hope the prosecution brings this up again. I haven't been watching the trial, so I don't know if the opportunity has been lost or not.

Adrenaline IS 'flight or fight.' I know I have heard the defense use this as part of her self defense.

You know when you get scared and your heart starts pounding? Sometimes you may even feel short of breath or dizzy. This is adrenaline.

A good example of showing no adrenaline rush is in one of the Hannibal Lecter movies. I think it's the one with Julianne (is that her name) Moore. It shows a flash back of Lecter eating the face off a nurse. He had a heart monitor on. The person telling the story said his BP and HR didn't rise. Something like 'his heart rate never got above 80.' But that was in a movie. I'm sure it can happen where someone is so completely insane they wouldn't get an adrenaline rush. The probability of THAT happening is miniscule.

Everyone who gets close to Jodi has all the life sucked out of them, and then they fall by the wayside.
