The background looks a little lighter in the orange jumpsuit picture, to me.They just showed the part of the video where JA actually gets handcuffs placed on her and she's booked. I've always wondered why the two mugshots. But I'm guessing this one is right after they place the cuffs on her:

I just have always been confused because her hair color seems darker in the first one.

Thats what I thought except for the hair. But I suppose it could just be the lighting.
Plus in those interrogation tapes she seems like she was preparing herself as much as possible (doing headstands, flipping her hair) to look as good as possible. which would make sense with the smiling pic.

I don't know if it's the same for booking or transfer, but I believe Maricopa County uses the striped jail clothing. Wouldn't they have photographed her in their jail clothing from Maricopa rather than Yreka? I would think.

Orange is Siskiyou County. (as seen in interrogation video 16th July 2008). Arizona is Black & White Stripes. She wasn't extradited till a few months later.
Don't know about Jodi, but they did toxicology tests on Travis.....all came back negative, except for a small trace amount of something that was typical of his stage of decomp. He was clean.

It is much creepier than the one on HLN. It shows Dido's character hiding in a closet (interesting as posters on MDS have speculated she hid after sneaking in). Dido is spying on a sleeping man through the slats of the closet door. It has suicidal and dark overtones - as she circles the sleeping, unaware man.
Add the 'memory' and stalking lyrics and it adds up to the music theme to a horror movie.
I think the ME might be more well informed than this idiot.
So, if we're to believe Jodi's brother (ha!), she had a knife put to her throat when she was 13. Is that why a knife was her murder weapon of choice? Is the so-called abuse expert going to say that Jodi was traumatized by Travis and she flashed back to having the knife put at her throat at 13, disassociated, snapped and started stabbing, and she really "didn't mean to" kill Travis?

I studied her during the part of the trial when they showed the pics.. she of course appeared not to be looking at them but you could tell in some of the court shots when they panned in on her that she was looking through her hair. She absolutely wanted to see them and I too believe she wanted to own her own copy of them.
There are supposedly hours of tape, HLN should post it so we can see all of it!

He has JM down, his thought of Juan blowing a gasket and not making it to the end of the trial is exaclty how I felt at the beginning before i realized that is how he always is. I mean, I don't think that, but after watching the video just now of her asking to see the crime scene pics a TINY part of me wonders...
What if she was in some sort of rage blackout/frenzy of some sort? Say she shot/stabbed him first, in the shower but nothing went as expected... something caused her to flip out (cuz her plans were getting all f'ed up?) and she just went crazy?
Now, I don't believe for a second that he attacked her first, or any of her horse shit really... but in regards to the real fight, what if she really doesn't remember the sequence of events and needed to see the pics to figure out wtf to tell the police (cuz you know she was probably already trying to formulate a story)?
