I'm having doubts about the verdict of a death sentence. The verdict for the boy who killed 3 schoolmates was 1st degree, lifer. When he went in for sentencing, he took off his shirt, revealing a tee shirt with the words killer on it. Then as he spoke to the family he flipped them and said fuck you!!!

Why oh why do I torture myself with peeking at the JAII site? Those people are absolutely nutbags. I have to say away but it keeps pulling me back to read the bizarre rants. And now they are pissed off that JM took a photo on the court steps with Dr. Drew's juror, Katie. They said it is disrespectful and like a victory pose before the victory. No people, how about Katie admires Juan and maybe even has a teeny tiny crush on him and wants a photo. What the hell does it have to do with victory? They are just nutso. Now they have created at Meme from it. Ahhhh. I must shower away the dirty funk I feel from there.

At this point for me....I just want her to rot in prison. The death penalty sentence would be nice only because she would be ALONE!!! Virtually no contact with anyone....she thrives on attention so the lack of attention would be like death to her. Good enough for me!
Yes. He got LWOP but he also pled guilty and at age 17 he was not eligible for the DP.
This trial is winding down and folks are all worried about Juan and his technique. I say relax. Trust Juan. It's like looking at the ingredients of a recipe and imagining how it will taste. Juan will put this all together and we will be pleased with the results. We have to be patient.

If she is she would have to be under treatment for a mental condition. I thought she testified 1)she wasn't under treatment and 2)she didn't have a mental condition. Maybe she's just taking an Advil or Tylenol for her migraines.

I also thought JM was using that once Jodi stabbed or shot Travis she was no longer an invited guest and that changed it to a burglary or something like that. And yes that JM also says if it was T's gun - she admitted she took it. Can't wait for his rebuttal to put it all together.

I can't look at that site. I'd blow a gasket. It's bad enough when folks bring stuff from that site and post it here. I suppose they are as passionate in their beliefs as we are but I swear - how do well meaning people believe her innocent? Were they dropped at birth or something? I'll never understand.
I appreciate your response, but it's not entirely true. In cases where a defendant asserts self defense, they must prove at trial that the self defense was justified. This is why JA took the stand to testify in her own defense. If she would have stuck with the two intruder story, there would be an absolute burden on the prosecution.
I'd be perfectly content if she got the DP but lived out her days on death row. A nice LONG life but they never get around to actually killing her.
Id be very surprised if she gets the DP though. Should she? Yes! Will she? I have a feeling ONE juror just won't be able to choose death. As long as she gets at least LWOP I'm good.

Hopefully, this jury realizes that the Death Penalty carries an automatic appeal and no one will be sticking a needle in her arm as soon as they read the verdict.
Sad but true. I understand why the death penalty carries so many appeals...to prevent innocent peeps from dying. In this case...if she gets the DP I say the sooner the better...guilt is not even a question in the case.
My opinion of the JAII folk? Meh.
The one thing they need is an audience to keep their 'us vs them' fires burning. they're getting their love squishies on because people read them. There's a line between team jodi and team Travis. That's where I hope the verdict goes. She probably would not get the DP anyway so I hope the jury sees through the lies and hoopla and gives her life. If there is a punishment stage. Never take a verdict for granted or you may find yourself yelling "Casey is what??" while at lunch with family at a chinese restaurant. It may or may not have happened to me.

It's like most people, we like to see it as it happens. I think I'll start it up to a certain time, then flip over for the posting to see how it ends. I miss the shows with Jane and Nancy hashing it out. Except for last night, usually Dr. Drew is a full hour. I haven't figured out if I like After Dark yet.

Interesting...wonder where she would have gotten pill from...I seriously doubt she would be administered medication from the jail in open court....and I also noticed that she held that jacket on her lap all day...she didnt put it on the back of her chair like she usually does

Also I was reading one of the court documents where the State was arguing about the inadmissability of the forged letters from Travis and it gave some insite as to what was contained in those letters....
1) He had a couple of experiences with young boys
2) he confessed to a bishop...but not HIS bishop
3) he admitted that he had fondled little boys before
How sickening of her!!!
