The shelving was not to scale. Those were 8 foot ceilings in Travis' house. The PI that did the demonstration also used BOTH hands to gain a foothold, JA testified that she use one hand. If you're going to do a reenactment do it right. Also let me add: Jose Bias (yes I know) is FOC. "Look at the evidence" he says... and then fails to explain why a woman in "a fight for her life" would drag her attacker all the way back to the shower and rinse him off... that and about 20 other things she did to cover-up a crime where she was "afraid for her life". BS in BS out.

Climb being an inaccurate word because he could easily reach the gun without anything more than standing on his tiptoes. His re-enactment wasn't anything like it would've been for Jodi to have to jump up, practically propelling herself off the unit with her hand and foot, to reach the top of the shelf.

The HLN shelf was also undersized and we have no idea if they used the "pins" system of holding the shelves on, because they didn't have anyone demonstrate that or remove the shelf or anything. There's also the matter of how they anchored the shelves to the wall. We don't know what they used as compared to the way Travis' shelves were attached.

The basic idea that I got from the shelf demonstration is that the guy put his weight on the unit, rather than the shelf itself.

They did have a woman doing the bathroom/gun scenario, who could've easily subbed as Jodi in the closet scene. No idea why they didn't use her. Although she was dressed in heels, a skirt and cleavage hanging out, so I would guess she wasn't appropriately attired for that part of the re-enactment.

I tweeted Vinnie Politan to ask that they do a true and faithful recreation of the alleged event. This wasn't it. They should've had some stunt people and done it in the actual real-time 62 seconds.

Wasn't the bloody hand print half way UP the wall? Agree that Baez is scum and HLN is a joke.

People of the My Death Space Jury, these are the findings of the Jodi Arias is innocent *cough*...

"I know a lot of these things have been discussed already but I just wanted to make a few points:

    1. Why would she lie about returning the 3rd gas can. To me she had no reason to lie about purchasing, using or returning a 3rd gas can for the purpose in which she said she had them.

    2. I totally think the intruder story is the true story. All of the evidence and her current story pretty much match up to that scenerio.
    a. I think maybe one possibility is the intruders made her shoot Travis or they were going to shoot her.

    b. I think they threatened her not to talk and I think she got out of the house.

    c. I think the intruders were the ones that did the stabbing. I can buy the stab wounds as self defense but I don?t buy the throat slashing. I don?t see her doing that. Someone else did that.

    d. I think this Ashley?s husband did have something to do with it along with possibly a roommate. I think her death was a result of her call to police. Even if they were going through a divorce, why would someone call police to tell them someone like that if it wasn?t true. Just doesn?t make sense.

    e. The crime scene was too clean. Jodi would have been in too much of a panic to spend that much time in the house cleaning up with the fear of being caught.

    f. There was no blood anywhere else in the house except on the washing machine.

    g. Jodi wouldn?t have taken the time to put bloody clothes in the washer. Btw.. have they ever said who?s clothes they were?

    h. Jodi DEFINITELY would not have left the camera behind. The only scenerio I can think of for that is that if she did put everything in the washer, she scooped up clothes and towels or whatever was in there and the camera was inside the wad of laundry and she didn?t realize it.

    i. I think the time stamps on the pictures could have been manipulated by going through the washer or by a person.

    j. Her admitting to the shooting but not admitting to the stabbing. If she was admitting to self defense and that she did kill him and knew he had also been stabbed, she would have admitted to the stabbing too. I don?t think she knew about the stabbing.

    k. Did they ever check her rental car for blood? She admitted to having blood on her but I would think they would be able to tell how much blood. If there were just traces of blood on the steering wheel or blood everywhere like she had just committed this horrific murder. There had to have been blood ALL OVER the person who did this. She just wouldn?t have gotten out of the house without leaving traces.

    l. I think it was maybe one of the roommates that said Travis had been cleaning because there was a carpet cleaner in the middle of the living room and furniture was moved. I think that sounds like someone trying to cover their tracks maybe??

    m. The roommates didn?t smell anything.

    n. Everyone started pointing fingers at Jodi right away as to take the attention off of anyone else.

    o. I think she felt like she knew she shot him and she would have a better chance at saying it was self defense because she probably figured they had some kind of evidence that she WAS there and she had been threatened by these other people not to talk.

I think when Jodi gets out of jail she is going to have to go into the witness protection program or something. If she gets aquitted, there will be people who will want to find her.

Does anyone know? if for some reason there is a mistrial, do they have to retry the case? I would hate to have to see her go through all of this again."

"Will help women get out of abusive relationships?. I am just so upset about this trial. I wish I could be like Jodi.. She explains everything so clear. I love Her.."

What are your opinions regarding these insightful conclusions?

They didn't have the correct trajectory of the bullet either. The bullet entered his temple and landed in his cheek. That is a DOWNWARD angle. They had it coming almost head on.

I am SO glad I don't watch HLN.
AND Jodi had BOTH HANDS on the gun!!! she was in a stance not holding the gun over her head at a downward angle (as was shown)... Better to not do a reenactment than to do one that does not reflect the trial testimony.

    So huge disappointment.

The question was: Did Travis Alexander attack Jodi Arias?

The jury came back 10-2....10 Not Guilty, and 2 Guilty.

It was stupid, because if the crew had set up the crime scene properly, there would have been the right amount of 'blood' in the room. Instead, it looked really clean, with only a bit of splatter and one large pool of blood at the end of the hallway. Baez used that to suggest that the gun shot happened in the bathroom, and that the entire stabbing happened at the end of the hall.

Also, since no one showed that Travis was actually seated when Jodi 'dropped' the camera, it wasn't made clear to the two "Guilty" jurors that a woman could indeed attack a man with a knife.

The gun shot angles are ridiculous. I wish that HLN would get an ME to talk about what damage that bullet could have caused.

If Jodi's scenario is proven to be possible, I won't mind so much, if THEY DO IT RIGHT. But they didn't. The whole set up was all wrong.

My thoughts exactly. I too was very disappointed in last nights "re-creation". They went to the trouble to make this mock-up of Travis' bathroom/closet but didn't go with the actual story that Jodi told or use people that resemble Travis and Jodi. It was pretty worthless to me. Despite that they still managed to get 10 of the 12 jurors to agree that Travis didn't attack Jodi, amazingly.

Somebody yesterday or on the weekend was asking about the Yreka police department report on the "burglary" at Stabby's Grandparents home. It is attached in this response to a motion filed Stabby and the defense to preclude the burglary and the gun stolen from mentioned. Response was filed Dec 11 2012. Looks like defense was still scrambling right to the end to preclude evidence.

The response filed can be found here, it was posted by twitter user @zou2

I watched them, once, try to do a re-creation.....and I didn't get past the fact that they didn't even get the dimensions of the bathroom anywhere NEAR what the actual room looked like. The shower stall was about 6 inches deep, according to their tape on the floor. I changed the channel. It's rubbish. It was laughable that they were even trying. Unless they can re-create every aspect of the crime scene, as it was on the day of the murder, then it's worthless. And it says a lot about how ignorant they assume their audience is!!

Given more time for discussion, I wonder how easily those two "guilty" verdicts would have been turned to "not guilty". I was disappointed by those two, but also pleased. I was concerned that because of the total screw-ups with the blood and the facts that more people would go "guilty".

It gives me hope that this jury may be able to reach the proper conclusions.

That is a good point about "self-defense" and dragging Travis back to the shower to wash away the evidence. If it was self-defense, she would've just left him where he laid.

I don't believe Baez ever addressed the first point brought out by the HLN guy; that IF Jodi was running down the hall, why not just run left and down the stairs and out the front door? Even if, say she didn't have her cell phone or car keys, purse, etc., she could've gone to any of the neighbors' homes and asked for help. Police would've showed up, she would've been able to collect her belongings and file a report and Travis could've been arrested.

Wow, that tripe from the Jodi's innocent fans? There's too much to criticize, but I think my favorites are the following.

    c. I think the intruders were the ones that did the stabbing. I can buy the stab wounds as self defense but I don?t buy the throat slashing. I don?t see her doing that. Someone else did that.
Jodi admitted she did it and they still don't believe? Oh it must be those wily Mormons who killed Travis and threatened Jodi's family. Umm, I think the police would be able to protect her family if that was the case. Obviously it's bullshit.

    e. The crime scene was too clean. Jodi would have been in too much of a panic to spend that much time in the house cleaning up with the fear of being caught.
The crime scene was too clean? There was blood everywhere! If they think that was clean, I don't want to know what they think a bloodbath looks like then. Jodi was in a panic too, that's why the bullet casing got left behind and the camera ended up in the washing machine.

    g. Jodi wouldn?t have taken the time to put bloody clothes in the washer. Btw.. have they ever said who?s clothes they were?
What would it have taken 10 seconds to toss the clothes in, dump in some bleach and turn on the machine? She washed the clothes in bleach for the same reason that she showered off herself and the body, to try and remove trace dna that would put her at the scene.

    i. I think the time stamps on the pictures could have been manipulated by going through the washer or by a person.
This one practically has me speechless. The washing machine changed the time stamps? And oh yeah, if they were able to be manipulated by police, the defense surely had a photographic expert look at them and would have caught them. What difference does the time stamp mean anyways? They know she was there as she admitted it and they have her handprint in blood. This person isn't saying Jodi wasn't there, so who cares what time they had sex? Not to mention Jodi's foot and pants leg captured while carrying the body. Jeez.

I guess this person was asleep when the rental car guy testified. And the stupidity of thinking that Jodi would run through the house and out into a residential street while dripping with blood? I mean, it's not like she could've and would've changed clothes right? It's not like she had luggage with her other clothing in it. It's not like she couldn't have toweled off after washing the blood off her in the shower and grabbed a pair of sweats from Travis' dresser

    l. I think it was maybe one of the roommates that said Travis had been cleaning because there was a carpet cleaner in the middle of the living room and furniture was moved. I think that sounds like someone trying to cover their tracks maybe??
Now, the roommate did it? I have a carpet cleaner sitting in the living room. Not because I murdered anyone and needed to clean up, but because one of the pups was sick.

I think when Jodi gets out of jail she is going to have to go into the witness protection program or something. If she gets aquitted, there will be people who will want to find her.
Jodi is the only murderer here. This poster needs to go into the Witless Protection Program.

Does anyone know? if for some reason there is a mistrial, do they have to retry the case? I would hate to have to see her go through all of this again.
After brutally taking the life of another human being, this is the least of Jodi's punishment. I would hate to see Travis' family and Travis' memory have to go through all of this again.

And they keep playing it over and over again. What do you want from the Casey Anthony channel, oops, I meant Jodi Arias channel.

Did anyone catch the O'Reilly Factor last night? He had someone on talking about the trial. I missed it due to weather and then the Pope.

Thanks! I meant to watch it/record it but fell asleep! Guess I didn't miss much; what a flop! Can't believe 2 people bought into her story!

What are your opinions regarding these insightful conclusions?

    Could this be the clip?

And I'm sure the jury is taking notice of every thing she does. I'm sure they notice the doodles, the total disinterest, the lack of emotion, etc. I hope she keeps on Jodying......it is the image that the jury needs to see!

We can't know what the practice is in Arizona, until we hear from the administration or see the invoices Nurmi submits to the State. In many jurisdictions, State Funded 'Legal Aid' (not Public Defender's Office), is broken down into different categories. There is a separate rate for Court Time, (probably $225.00 hr.), Outside Preparation time, legal assistants, travel, miscellaneous expenses, etc. probably up to an agreed upon maximum budget, subject of course to change to accommodate unforseen contingencies. When Juan Martinez was arguing against the objections raised by Wilmott about questioning Dr. Samuels on a particular issue, he said to the judge, "the State, (or maybe it was Maricopa County), is paying this expert and should have a right to examine him, etc., etc. That lead me to believe that there is a separate State or County Funded budget to cover Defense Expenses that is not part of the budget for Legal Representation and Legal Preparation. Wilmott is connected to the Public Defender's Office and appears to have been seconded to Nurmi under some special arrangement. Her compensation is probably covered by the Public Defender's Office and not an item in Nurmi's Defense Budget.

We really won't know until we see the accounting when the Trial is over and all the financial statements have been finalized and released to the public. It will be a shocker and will probably not end there if Jodi Arias is convicted. The people of Arizona will be funding her Appeal Costs for years. Whatever did they do to deserve this pestilence that has been thrust upon them? Think of how else they could have spent the money and how much good it could have brought to the lives of others in genuine need. Jodi Ann Arias sucked the life out of Travis Alexander and continues to be a parasite on the backs of the good people of the State of Arizona.

I agree with your math on the trial hours (16 or so a week).

However, he would also be paid (at the same rate) for all the time he spends preparing for trial, drafting documents, making phone calls, talking to witnesses, talking to Stabby, etc. It could really add up.

Can we all agree this might be the understatement of the year? LOL Still can't believe how easily Dr Dodgy Dick crumbled yesterday. He just caved. Nice to see Stabby get thrown under the bus for once!

Lawyers also tend to round UP with their hours. I know when we've hired lawyers for stuff at work, they will charge 1 hour of time for a phone call, meanwhile the call would have taken 10 mins max.
