So, our friend’s father is a gun expert – he teaches gun training to police force here as well as civilians and also gives the CCW (concealed carry) classes here (although they aren’t required anymore).

We are looking at buying me a .22 handgun and were asking his advice, so out of curiosity I asked him about a .25 and just how much damage it can do. His major comment was that it is a good gun for a smaller person because it has almost no “kick” (making it easy for accuracy) and will still “drop” a person. When asked what would happen if you shot the person in the head within about 1-6 feet, he stated that a .25 is actually considered more dangerous in that aspect than many higher caliber guns. Why? Because it has enough power to initially penetrate the skull, but rarely enough to penetrate a second time – causing it to generally bounce around in the head, causing potentially massive damage and then lodging internally.

The bullet was not able to exit Travis’ head, and it is possible that it “bounced around” in there, causing massive damage (the ME couldn’t verify due to decomp). That makes it highly unlikely that he could have gotten shot first and then done all the running around and struggling back against Jodi.

Just thought I’d share his insights. :)

Exactly. Willmott is going to try to whitewash the issue and say that the results would be the same if a new test had been issued. But, it doesn't matter. It is just more proof that Jodi lies. She lies to everyone. She even lies on her test for PTSD. Why should the jury believe her now? The shouldn't. That is what Martinez will have to drive home during his close.

I'm NOT looking forward to Willmott playing damage control with the "Doc"....I AM looking forward to the juror questions. I hope they don't disappoint!

Are they telling us they don't have anyone who is of similar height and weight as Jodi??? What a farce!

I posted the recreation video earlier this morning. The guy was over 6 feet, and he used his left hand to grab the middle, vertical surface of the shelving unit to climb up. Climb being an inaccurate word because he could easily reach the gun without anything more than standing on his tiptoes. His re-enactment wasn't anything like it would've been for Jodi to have to jump up, practically propelling herself off the unit with her hand and foot, to reach the top of the shelf.

The HLN shelf was also undersized and we have no idea if they used the "pins" system of holding the shelves on, because they didn't have anyone demonstrate that or remove the shelf or anything. There's also the matter of how they anchored the shelves to the wall. We don't know what they used as compared to the way Travis' shelves were attached.

The basic idea that I got from the shelf demonstration is that the guy put his weight on the unit, rather than the shelf itself.

They did have a woman doing the bathroom/gun scenario, who could've easily subbed as Jodi in the closet scene. No idea why they didn't use her. Although she was dressed in heels, a skirt and cleavage hanging out, so I would guess she wasn't appropriately attired for that part of the re-enactment.

I tweeted Vinnie Politan to ask that they do a true and faithful recreation of the alleged event. This wasn't it. They should've had some stunt people and done it in the actual real-time 62 seconds.

I wonder if a new test WAS issued and the results were unfavorable to JA? They couldn't hide the fact they did a new test could they? Or..maybe the good fake Doc was afraid what the results would show after she admitted being he murderess.

I was thinking the same thing. Even if the bullet didn't bounce around in Travis's skull, it would have gone diagonally down his face to lodge in his opposite cheek. I don't mean to make light of things, but that would have hurt like a bitch. I very much doubt he could have fought back.

Yeah, that plus the NINE stabs in the back and slashes to the back of the head...I've said all along that the autopsy photos alone prove this was not self-defense to anyone with a shred of common sense.

JA is doing all sorts of little things with that orange folder. Yesterday (Monday) she was especially animated; giggling, smirking and shaking her head during Samuels testimony. Lots of eye contact with her former cellmate who was sitting next to her mother. It's possible she is passing notes to the guard.

Best I could find right now.

Well, that was a complete joke!!!! My kids could do a better and more reenactment of the crime. The shelves were not the same kind and were not anywhere near as tall as Travis'. Bozo Baez () said that there was no blood in the hallway. Come on, we've all seen the crime scene pics...that hallway and bathroom were a complete bloody mess. They didn't have the correct trajectory of the bullet either. The bullet entered his temple and landed in his cheek. That is a DOWNWARD angle. They had it coming almost head on.

I am SO glad I don't watch HLN.

Not disputing the $225 per hour or the court records. I just don't think he gets to hand over a bill of whatever amount he feels he should reimbursed and they pay it no questions asked. There must be a comptrollers office that reviews the billings and then if there is a dispute the Judge would settle it.

He can't have been working solely on this case since he left the PD's office. He's trying to establish himself as (ugh) a private practice attorney to pedophiles and sex crime offenders.

I'm trying to search the Maricopa County Superior Court site to see what else he's been up to.

I would LOVE to know what he is turning in and getting paid. Let me know if you can find anything out. As a taxpayer, anyone living in Arizona should have a right to know.

To me running into the closet is a red herring, I simply do not believe it happened. The entire struggle occurred in the bathroom except for the slitting of his throat. We must remember that the judge ruled that the sequence doesn't matter because it was cruel.

That's great that you tweeted Vinnie. He's open to critique/criticism, and maybe they'll take your points into consideration and stage a do-over.

The first thing I noticed with their shelving is that the shelves looked glued in, flush against the side walls of the unit. In the crime scene/closet pics you can see the holes drilled into the vertical pieces (to allow for adjusting the shelf height), and you can actually see the brass pins. They ARE "resting" shelves, and at a minimum, if a 200 lb man stepped on the edge as was demonstrated last night, the shelf would have flipped forward.

And had she scaled the shelves as she claims, it's impossible that not one single shoe or piece of clothing would have been shifted out of place, knocked down to the floor. It's also unbelievable that the dressing bench, found undisturbed in the center of the closet, would not have been bumped to the side, knocked over by Jodi (frantically running from Travis in mortal fear), or by a rage filled Travis, barreling through the door in hot pursuit.

And though I'm loathe to criticize other women on their looks/manner of dress, the analyst playing the role of Jodi looked ridiculous in that get up; her "tight as spandex" outfit with her boobs hanging out, chandeliers hanging from her ears, those black stiletto heels. And when she re-enacted how Jodi could have shot at such an angel to match the trajectory, she had had her hands holding the gun almost at the top of her head, pointing the barrel down. BS! Did they act the entire event, timing it? Did the jury give Jodi a pass? I didn't see the show last night, only the small clip posted here.

Is THAT who she kept turning around to look at yesterday with that creepy little smile? I thought that's who it might have been...and then Donavan calling the guard over and whispering something...so sketchy! I would love to know what was going on there!

Not that i agree that the shot came first, but isnt Jodi primarily left handed? the reenactor lady was using her right hand at to hold the gun at the beginning (i only watched the 1st few minutes).

No, they didn't act out the entire event at all. They just went from area to area and let each side give an explanation of what they thought happened. That was my main problem with it.

I think it was early last week, there was another HLN guy who was doing a "re-enactment" of sorts, in that he was simulating the stabbing on the air, and trying to keep a time count. With that happening, when I heard they were building the re-enactment set, I thought that's what they were going to do, but it never happened. They just walked from place to place and said "this is what could've happened".

If they don't do a real-time re-enactment, I think they just wasted their time and money on building that set, and they've certainly wasted viewer time in watching it. I though the whole purpose was to show whether what Jodi alleged could've happened in the time available, 62 seconds.

I recorded HLN After Dark or whatever last night just to see the re-enactment and hadn't watched it yet but I watched the video that was posted here just now. I'm totally disappointed in their piss poor lazy version of it. They could have done so much more with it

Thank you for your response. I posted my question before I saw your video of the reenactment. It appears the shelves they used WERE NOT the pin system, just regular book shelves. I can tell by looking at them in the video and the fact that the guy stepped on one several times and nothing happened. That's not possible with pins. I am not sure why they would eliminate a huge fact like that. What was the point? I was also bothered by Baez being there with his opinion that Jodi made the bloody hand print when she was crawling away for her life. HLN is a joke, and this reenactment wasn't factual at all. I won't be watching that channel again. They can take this reenactment and all their commercials and shove them up their ass.

I was hugely disappointed in last night's episode. I've never watched HLN After Dark, but decided to because they were going to go through the murder and/or self-defense claim...and it was BS.

    So huge disappointment.

The question was: Did Travis Alexander attack Jodi Arias?

The jury came back 10-2....10 Not Guilty, and 2 Guilty.

It was stupid, because if the crew had set up the crime scene properly, there would have been the right amount of 'blood' in the room. Instead, it looked really clean, with only a bit of splatter and one large pool of blood at the end of the hallway. Baez used that to suggest that the gun shot happened in the bathroom, and that the entire stabbing happened at the end of the hall.

Also, since no one showed that Travis was actually seated when Jodi 'dropped' the camera, it wasn't made clear to the two "Guilty" jurors that a woman could indeed attack a man with a knife.

The gun shot angles are ridiculous. I wish that HLN would get an ME to talk about what damage that bullet could have caused.

If Jodi's scenario is proven to be possible, I won't mind so much, if THEY DO IT RIGHT. But they didn't. The whole set up was all wrong.

I completely agree. I absolutely cannot stand Baez. How in the world could they even have him there? What a joke they are.

Argh. I hate the Maricopa County Superior Court site. Can't find where to search for cases by attorney. Florida's county court sites are so much easier to navigate but that's probably due to Florida's Sunshine Laws.

Anyone notice Stabby's suicide theme when the men her life threaten to leave her? TA, Nurmi, etc. Wonder how many times she told TA she was going to kill herself over him.?
