There are exceptions to the confidentiality rules for psychology. A patient who is saying they are going to commit suicide can be one of those exceptions.

Maybe that depends on state laws Im not sure but one of my best friends was trying to get out of going to work or get on disability only he overplayed his "symptoms" and he led on to suicide and the psychologist called the police and in institution and had him committed.
