I was reading over the weekend that they are going to do [B]narcoanalysis[B] on the guy that did the shooting at the movie theater....this would be truth serum and a polygraph...in his case I think they are doing it in regard to competency issues...however it sure would be interesting to see that done with JA

Maybe someone can correct me, but I read that Arizona has not executed anyone since 1930 (or maybe that was the last woman executed there) - and I also read that they only have one lethal injection left. Not sure why that would be true, but someone linked to an article on either this forum or WS about it.

Basically, the point is that even if she gets DP, it seems possible that she will never be executed.

Last WOMAN executed was in 1930. They have executed men since then.

But I also think that women probably take longer to execute than men (appeal exhaustion-wise). Someone posted that there is an average of 12 (?) years for men. I bet the average is longer for women, probably at least 20 years. I think society has more difficulty actually executing women.

I think you are dead on about the knife/gun. Victor Arias was a b/f Stabby claimed to have in Puerto Rico while she was there as an "exchange student" . Not quite sure how she qualified as an "exchange student" since she quit school at 17, before she graduated. he was supposedly another boyfriend that she had a "gut feeling" was cheating on her.

She testified that she got held back in kindergarten. Maybe the system felt guilty and decided to compensate her. It's her story!

And how nice of her to JUST now inform the court that they weren't having the hearing today. She didn't bother to inform Martinez or even the JUDGE. Geez. Unprofessional much?

Martinez had all weekend to go over those articles. They knew Samuels wouldn't be able to answer JM's questions.

I don't think it was last moment. She said she had already told Doc and that is why he wasn't there yet. They are rude and inconsiderate. I hope the judge is aggravated by it as well.
