I was up bonding with the old folks yesterday (Genny beer and Dixie cups of wine to celebrate or help block out the Irish singer mangling music) and one of the nurses gave me her long opinion of poor Jodi and how people exploited her her whole life. This being the same nurse who felt big evil men made Casey Anthony a bad bad girl. This nurse hates men and their evil penises of death and thinks if a woman goes bad a man and his wonder wand caused it. Most of the olds think she should get the DP because you either murder or you don't and she did.

Chelsey was in the same ward as Stabby in AZ. Chelsey was at (I think even in charge of) a "singles" gathering at the ward just after the date Stabby claims Travis broke her finger. At this gathering, Chelsey and Stabby spent time talking one on one, and also Stabby was was joining in some physically active games the group played, and there was NOT a splint on her finger, nor did she seem to have an injured hand or finger at all.
Chelsey did not realize the significance of the date until the testimony about Stabby's alleged broken finger AND the entry from Stabby's journal about having attended the singles gathering came up. Then she realized she had info that might be useful to the prosecution. We encouraged her to contact the prosection with this info, and she did.

For those who fear JA may be spared the death penalty, perhaps you will take some "comfort" in contemplting what her "existence" might be like should she be so "lucky." I think living under such circumstances/conditions, for decades upon decades, might compel even JA to actually follow through with her yet unfulfilled wish to do herself in. I'm against the DP, mostly because of the abitrary manner in which it may be applied, the possibility that someone innocent might be put to death. But I could more easily sentence a person to death than subject any breathing being to such torture. Then again, if anyone is worthy of being sentenced to life in hell, it is JA. What do you think?

Not sure how this will play out as far as entering them. Since it wasn't bought up until blabber mouth Arias decided to add a new lie, I would think it should be allowed but haven't dug around yet in the AZ Criminal Rules / Procedures.

He's a slippery one, so why is he leaving that out? deceitful again? And I really don't see how he can cry about an original discovery deadline when this was NEW testimony from his lying client. To me, that fails logic and laws are usually based in logic. lol
Regarding Chelsey: Interesting and I dont doubt her but after finding her post re Jan 24 etc I have questions. She states when JA moved to Mesa and new memeber meeting but JAs move was in the summer, June July, nothing to do with January. So I"m lost on how she connects them. That said, with her being an active poster, I don't see the prosecution ever using such a witness. The 'risk' of all her posts and bias wouldn't be waters the prosecution needs IMO.

Sorry, I should have credited the singer - Dido - above. The video shows a woman spying on her sleeping lover. It shows a stalker mentality and obsession with the sleeping man.
I don't believe it is my (or anyone else's) choice to weigh what 'wish' of punishment should be. Outside of the fact finders aka jurors, I believe the suffering family of the victim should be the decider of that.
I respect whatever the family wants and this family wishes for the DP so I will always support their wish in every way.
I agree--I think those will be allowed as part of the rebuttal case. She never alleged anything about returning the gas can until it was brought up on cross that it didn't make fiscal sense to purchase it. The Tesoro information only became relevant for the same reason--she lied about returning the gas can.

Hey Was, I honestly don't think they would use me, but I felt it important to disclose. I know she moved to Mesa earlier than that (I believe actually in the fall??) but I know she said she stayed at Rachel's (her friend) for a time before moving into our ward. I don't know much past that. I do recall that event clearly, although at the time I couldn't have told you the exact date. When they showed her journal entry in late January (the one that supposedly was days after her finger was broken), the entry talks about her going to a new member event at the Porter's house - THAT is the event where I met her. That is when I went, "Oh my gosh, that was only a few days after she supposedly got this broken finger...SHE DID NOT HAVE A BROKEN FINGER WHEN I MET HER!!" That is when my meeting her became more significant. While I don't know that this is even of much importance to the prosecution, I did decide to disclose it to them - all of it, including the fact that I didn't realize the significance until watching the trial. Like unto others, my watching the trial and participating online shouldn't be an issue unless I had been subpoenaed, which I haven't.
I doubt that my one little contribution will be of enough worth, but I am glad I at least gave them the information so that, if they did feel it was important, I have not been neglectful.
My bias has altered over time. When she was first arrested, I would have sworn to you that she didn't do it. Even when her story changed, I thought she must have been covering up for someone (I assumed her father and brother had found out about Travis and hated him for whatever reason and that they were perhaps involved and she was protecting them). However, as more and more evidence came out and her lies continued and then she admitted that she killed him on her own, I realized that she truly did do this. I also didn't believe it was premeditated until seeing the points put forth by the prosecution in the trial. So, my bias was changed because of the evidence and not because I am just out to get her. If you'd asked me 4 years ago, I would have said that she didn't do it. I'd met her and I liked her, so it took seeing all the evidence for me to realize I was deceived.
Hope that clears some things up. I don't want to be called and I don't think they will, but I felt it important to contribute and if anyone takes issue with that, that is there own issue.

Exactly Madame. I love how they seem to have wanted the information long ago since "it has been available for years" - well sure, but there was no relevance to make it important until Jodi claimed she didn't have three gas cans. If she didn't want to fight the issue, he wouldn't have had any reason to bring those cans in. This is just the defense grasping at straws again and I highly doubt the judge will have any problem admitting that information. That's the hard thing when a defendant like Jodi takes the stand - you never know what her next lie will be. So JM just has to go along with her and get the information to counteract her claims after she makes them.
I love how the defense thinks that JM should be able to magically foretell what claims Jodi will make!! I think most of these things are them documenting any and every possibility to use towards appeals in the future. Considering the lady that just got taken off of death row after 20 years due to a trial (the detective) technicality, that is exactly the kind of thing JA's defense is trying to work in now. IMO.
So I was looking at the new HLN pics and is as thinking maybe the knife wounds don't fit with any of the knifes Travis owned! Did we ever hear form the detective of ME if any of his own knifes could have caused the stab wounds ie depth? If not then were did the knife go, the desert ?
It does, thank you so much! Don't get me wrong, I think you did the right thing! The end result really is up to the legal mind of JM. I was just meaning there is little advantage compared with risk with any active poster in a criminal case espeically a DP one.
That said, outside of court, it is FACINATING information, thanks for sharing it. I never believed there was anything wrong with the finger in the first place and thought she was faking that even. JM is going with it is indeed an injury so I'll accept that, he knows better than I. I had an in-law with an exaggerated form of what JA has. She had cut her finger badly once and the perm 'bent over' was due to cutting the tendon.
They said they tested the knives that were there and none of them were the murder weapon. I believe that was in Det. Flores' testimony. Seems so long ago now... But that has always stuck with me, especially considering her once saying that she recalled sticking the knife in the dishwasher (which then she backpeddeled and said it could have been a memory of putting a knife in the dishwasher from another time...).
