My best guess is she took that last picture of his face and then had him turn around for one more shot of his back - maybe even down on his knees facing away from her - and that's when she started stabbing him. That would have put him at his most vulnerable.Originally Posted by ***JiLL***

I think he was possibly in shock. I mean, crazy as she was, he probably didn't expect her to go all Psycho on him in the shower. And well, he did at one point grab the knife, because of the defensive wounds on his hands. Although we don't know when he made the grab, it's possible it was right as she made the first stab.
Based on the direction of the chest wound, it's possible he was beginning to stand up, but, he really had nowhere to go, unless he knocked her down. Jodi was blocking his own way out of the shower.

My interpretation is that he is trying to look Calvin Kline ad-ish. There is usually a kernal of truth in Stabby's stories, and I think that is the kernal of truth in this one.
I think she got him to agree to the shower pics by saying that he looked so good after all his slimming down and working out, that he was "so hot".... like some sexy model in a Calvin Kline ad (I can even hear her saying it in my head). I think she instructed him through various poses, with the whole (premeditated) goal being that she would get him to sit down in the shower, thus making him very vulnerable. I think Travis in a seated position in that tiny shower was her evil plan from the start.
Travis is just a regular guy. Regular guys don't know how to pose like, or have the facial expressions of, models. Poor Travis is doing his best to look like a sexy Calvin Kline model, with Jodi urging him on and calling out instructions. My interpretation is that the full face photo near the end is Travis trying to look like a model (you know, that haughty, bored, vacantly sexy, typical model look).
When regular people try to portray the "model facial expression", the results can be quite odd. To test this out, try asking a friend, or significant other, or whomever, to "look like a model" with their facial expression. I think the results will be fairly similar to the look on Travis' face.
The defensive wounds happened at some point while she was stabbing him, I just don't think he would sit still for a picture with her holding a knife or gun and not try to make some sort of movement to stop her. I think the attack came directly after the picture was taken. She may have been saying some fucked up things to him, which caused the emotion in his face and he knew something was very wrong.

The only place she had enough physical advantage was with him trapped in the shower. The door had to be open for her to attack. She planned it all, very cleverly. She would say she needed to have the shower door open to take the photos, but really it was to make him vulnerable.
Considering how Jodi was fixated on wearing makeup and looking good in her mugshot, I wonder how much it is eating at her that she has to appear in front of court people, as well as broadcast on tv and the internet, looking much less than attractive?

This was from the first interrogation before she was arrested. They previously showed parts of it, where she's doing back bends over the chair. Apparently there was more to it--far more bizarre--and somehow now HLN has their hands on it.
They sure need to be sure those shelf sizes are correct. Unless those builders are super tall, they sure don't look as tall as the original pictures.

A while back someone here posted some comments from a friend of theirs who works at the courthouse (sorry, I don't remember who). They said Jodi was obsessed with her looks and did bathroom checks as often as she was allowed...

Why believe anything HLN says or does when they are covering a criminal case? Most of their facts are incorrect and most of the "experts" or analysts they bring on are unfamiliar with real facts of the case beyond what is publicized daily.
WE don't know yet that they won't. Martinez has a rebuttal case to put on and he still has cross exam of the defense "experts" to do.
Two possibilities..... either one side objected to it being admitted, or Juan just decided that entering it would be too big of a gamble.
I think the problem is, that while it clearly shows her to be laughing just minutes after allegedly crying, all while she is in the process of being charged with murder (which could be used to show what a faker she is), it also clearly shows that she is indeed batshit crazy. There would be no way to know if jurors would interpret that as "wow, she is totally bonkers, I can now clearly picture her planning and carrying out this terrible murder" .... OR..... "wow, she is totally bonkers, anyone that crazy is not responsible for her crimes because she is SO cray cray, she needs mental health help, not incarceration".
Since there is no way to know how the jury would interpret it, perhaps Juan thought it would be best to just leave the whole thing alone.

Exactly. Naked, sitting in a very small shower stall. She thought one stab to the heart or as close she could get it would do it. I think she stole the gun as a back up plan but didn't intend to actually use it, unless things went wrong. Which they did. I wish Travis could have scratched her or hurt her far worse than what she escaped that house with.

Couldn't have been Maricopa County... that video was shot in California. Detective Flores interviewed her there before she was arrested. She was extradited to Arizona sometime later.
The second interrogation was also in California, where she was wearing the orange prison garb. They wear stripes in Maricopa County...

On one of the airings on HLN, there was a little icon in the upper right corner that said Fox News/Maricopa County Sheriff. So perhaps HLN got it wrong, but that's what they attributed.
