I'm guessing he just never saw how dangerous she truly was. Sociopaths are master manipulators. They behave in such a way that they often appear to be caring and compassionate people. They know what to say......they have an uncanny ability to sense what the "weakness" is, in their victim, and that is the spot they go for. In this case, Jodi could sense that Travis thrived and craved reassurance and acceptance (probably due to his chaotic childhood) and so that is what she did. Smothered him with compliments and converting to his religion and moving to live right under his nose and trying to plant seeds into his mind....hoping this would all work. When it didn't, she then went to plan B. This is the "Ted Bundy" aspect of her personality....how dare he reject her?!

Sorry... It's just that I'm unable to read notions of heaven, hell, and karma without analyzing it critically and carrying it out to a logical conclusion. As much as humans might like to believe the universe pays everyone back according to what we think of as right and wrong, that's just not how thing work. Do you think neanderthals were sent to hell for clunking each other over the head with clubs? Or does hell just apply to animals with a developed forebrain?

Religions with karma as a facet usually also have reincarnation as a facet, so I believe their explanation for something dreadful happening to a toddler would be karmic debt carried over from a previous life or lives (since they do not believe the slate is wiped clean with each new incarnation).

Did anyone notice yesterday the Dr. was explaining something and compared the brain to a computer....JA did the same thing during her testimony and also alot of the words she used when testifying i.e., fog, memory gaps, etc are the same words the Dr. uses. It also made me laugh yesterday when she was attempting to act like she was "out of it"..blank look and staring off into space like she wasn't mentally there....trying to act out what the Dr. was describing and then as soon as the jury left the room she was back to her old self, smiling with Nurmi...she absolutely sickens me!!!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. The first days of her testimony were loaded with psych therapist "buzzwords".

No one should take offense to this discussion, because we all have our own personal beliefs and opinions.....and it's about respecting that. There are people who do not believe in heaven or hell or God, at all. That doesn't offend me. I'm more concerned with my own life and salvation. I could choose to believe there is no divine justice, or I can choose to believe there is. Either way, this is my life and I'm stuck on this earth....and some very evil and horrendous stuff happens around me, every day. Choosing to BELIEVE in something good helps me to balance and cope with the negativity in life. This case is one of those negatives. If I'm wrong, and there is nothing after our earthly existance? I got the impression that at least part of what JM wanted to keep out was some sort of study allegedly showing that a messy crime scene and lots of overkill equals a crime of passion (no premeditation), while a neat and tidy crime scene equals premeditation.

I don't buy into the whole Jodi vs. Casey Anthony thing, but now I'm starting to think it's more like Jodi vs. Amanda Knox.

1. Knox was doing cartwheels at the police station, Jodi's doing handstands
2. Knox lied and tried to pin it on someone who wasn't even there , Jodi's ninjas
3. Both used throat slashes
4. Both were hit in the head (yeah right)
5. Knox's ex got caught trying to board a train outta Dodge, Jodi was pulled over for upside down license place (she got away, though).
6. Knox said police hit her and called her a stupid liar while in custody, Jodi was called a fucking idiot or 5 year old or something
7. Knox's parents are indicted for libel after shit-talking the police, Jodi's mom or Matt or whoever forged those letters
8. Both had prison buddies that were willing to testify to their character
9. Defense attorneys argue that Guede's letter was based on "a feeling" and that his accusations are not based on facts or events he witnessed, Jodi's vengeful hearsay
10. Both were forced to take a gander at their handiwork and looked away (Jodi was peeking, but still)

Looks like Jodi has a role model/hero worship thing going on
