I read a few days back where someone theorized that she shot him last to make him stop making noises after she cut his throat which fits in with what ME said about him being deceased when she shot him. His death rattles unnerved her and she wanted it to stop.

I said that, and I do think it is the most likely explanation (if the gunshot was last as the ME testified). Otherwise it just seems like total, pointless overkill, even for a psycho like Stabby, to shoot someone who has already been stabbed 29 times and had is throat slit (and is for all intents an purposes, dead or very close to it). I think the death rattle was just too much, and she wanted to make it stop.

Oh goodness, no offense taken at all. I was just trying to use it as a reference as to what type of questions they might ask while testing for PTSD. I guess I really didn't explain myself fully on why I shared it. It was shared as a representation of how easy it would be for Jodi to respond in order to prove her defense.

There are soliders who have served in the Middle East who return with severe PTSD and then commit murders here in the US. As far as I know, many of them end up getting convicted.

PTSD does not render a person unable to tell the difference between right and wrong, although it could make a person very emotionally reactive, prone to anger and rage outbursts, etc.

thanks for taking it as it was meant! No doubt she's tried to study up on symptoms. Her problem is as with all malingering, she scrambles them into an omlette of mishmash nonsense. Often trying to match every single symptom. Oops that is one of the biggest flags for malingering even on the MMPI which incorpates specially for lying. Any ethical expert will tell you, every single symptom on the list is non existant, that isn't how it works. There are no two alike, that is why the list is long, to allow for variances!

This sex therapist/transgender counselor/geriatric memory consultant turned forensic psychologist is a joke, and I think he pissed off a lot of jurors by equating Jodi and her supposed PTSD to soldiers and police officers with real PTSD. I think Martinez is itching to rip into him next week. I'm looking forward to more of his devastating one-liners--that man comes up with the best lines ever, and they are totally spontaneous.

Someone should compile a list of Martinez quips, comebacks and retorts just for fun...

I was shaking my head when he kept saying "oh I forgot that government job I had" and "oh I forgot that other symptom she had." He just came across as such a flake.

She is always shakey. Did you ever watch her with Lisa Andrews. JM would object, the judge would sustain, and she stood long periods where she couldn't even find a way to phrase a new question and oiften looks at the judge like she expects the judge to tell her what and how to ask questions.

Repeating memories is technically labeled Invasive Memories
This is because you have no control over them. Sorry to use a arias word but they literally haunt you. You could be grocery shopping and a 'trigger' set off, or a color, or smell etc. Doesn't matter where you are, what you are doing, you get flooded, they literally take you over. They aren't something you can put on an imaginary shelf for 10 hrs a day to sit your ugly ass in court without any sign of an episode.

With my personal experience with PTSD, at first the flashbacks were literally, 24/7. Even sleep provided no relief, because they morphed into nightmares. My brain would constantly be trying to bring me back to that traumatic event. And you are so right...the "triggers" are anything and everything. It takes years to gain control over them....and they will still catch me off-guard on occasion. In short, it's hard work to keep the symptoms from taking over your entire life. Jodi and this "expert" make it seem like it's just a case of amnesia?! As IF it were only that simple.

This is how mine were for the longest time. It's gotten a little better, but even now, the simplest thing can set 'em off. I wish it WERE amnesia, that would be 100% better than waking up in the middle of the night from a nightmare (that's usually a memory) and feeling like i have been warped the hell back in time. Or walking by someone who wears a certain cologne and the same thing happening.

& if a man yelling at her like she said Travis did (& Martinez duplicated) were her a brain-scrambling event that caused her to shake like a chihuahua cuz she was SOOO scarred from her past abuse she would NOT be sitting up there snarky as fuck, correcting him, being antagonistic, and generally trying to dominate the whole thing... she would be meek, answering yes and no in a tiny voice and waiting for it to be over with asap. She did the exact OPPOSITE of what someone who was afraid of brain scrambling men would do. If there was ANY abuse in her & Travis' relationship, it was coming from HER. She's the domineering, controlling one.

So, I have a question for you guys!
Could someone please clarify something for me? When exactly did the Dr say she had PTSD? I only caught snippets of today's trial. Was it before the murder, from the abuse... DURING the murder, causing the memory loss... or BECAUSE of the murder, causing the fog? Not that I believe she had it at ALL (I'm kinda leaning towards her relishing in the memories of it - hence the asking for/peeking thru her hair curtain at the photos of it), just curious. TIA =)
