Oh it's something stupid about Snow White being an abused woman. She was valued only for her looks (the fairest of them all) and she was made to cook and clean for the dwarfs. She was sweet and docile and this epitome of how women "should be", subservient, etc.

Here's a link to a video if you're interested. As soon as I saw it was 90 minutes, I decided not to bore myself.

I found an except from Google Books and screenshotted it.

Not sure why you quoted me since I don't recall saying I DIED laughing about it... but YES it WAS funny.

Like a couple people above me said, this is actually a time for joking. Its one of the ways people cope with horrible situations. YOU may not like that, but the forum doesn't revolve around you and you're tastes.

I'm actually quite offended you'd quote me to post that, being as I am NO stranger to tragedy and horror and have always used joking as part if the coping mechanism to deal with such.

Lets see... Ive had not one, but 2 ex bfs commit suicide. Gunshots to the head. Someone broke into my little brothers apartment while he was sleeping and stabbed him in the head and neck almost 50x with a screwdriver (miraculously, he lived). My bf (at the time), well his little brother was beaten to death with a hatchet and a hammer by his so-called friends. And that's just SOME of it. As you can see, I'm well acquainted with pain and tragedy. So please, don't tell me how to deal with it.

Yes. It would be rather boring if we all believed the same way.

Like I said, I don't believe she was any kind of criminal mastermind. But, I believe she took those steps to hide her actions, and she thought they would work. They obviously didn't.

Yes, gallow's humor. I like this quote about it.

Gallows humor has the social effect of strengthening the morale of the oppressed and undermines the morale of the oppressors. According to Wylie Sypher, "to be able to laugh at evil and error means we have surmounted them.

    1. Your testimony is based on what Jodi told you. How can you tell when Jodi is lying or telling the truth? You don't have to answer that.
    2. Have you ever known of another person besides Jodi Arias who had this form of amnesia? No?
    3. Have you ever accepted barter in exchange for favorable testimony? Yes, I see.

Good question. She hasn't been in court in weeks. I still like her for the burglary at the Prosecution's defense expert's house. Matt McCartney, according to rumor and something posted here yesterday (I think ChelseyDawn posted it?) has been told if he steps foot in AZ he'll be facing perjury charges in relation to the forged letters and lies he told in open court back in 2010/2011

Yes but doubtful this will happen as it's a death penalty case. In AZ self defense is an affirmative defense, meaning the defense must show equal force was used. WE all know that's bull in this case but Judge will want to avoid this coming back on appeal.

Pffft to her plea attempts. She tried to BLACKMAIL TA's family and the Prosecution into a lighter sentence. Thank goodness Juan Martinez is a prosecutor unafraid to fight for the victim. I heard someone say the other day that he dislikes Stabby and that's why he went after her aggressively on cross. I hope he does dislike her, after all of the lies she has told, after she tried to blackmail him and TA''s family into a plea agreement with a light sentence, after wasting untold man hours and tax payer dollars but most of all, I hope he really dislikes her for she did to TA.

Thank you. I'm just glad Im lucky enough to have awesome people in my life and happy times, too, to balance it out a bit.

Just makes me extra sad for the Alexanders. I know a LOT of the things they are feeling with the murder, trial and all... and I wouldn't wish those feelings on anyone...except Jodi. She truly deserves to feel every bit of the pain they feel 100x over.

There was a police report about an alleged break-in, in which a .25 caliber gun disappeared. No doubt the gun that Jodi used on Travis. This was from Jodi's grandparent's house, where she was living at the time. In staging the robbery, Jodi also took a dvd player and a handful of other things, and claimed 30 dollars was stolen from her room. Martinez asked about her laptop on the stand. In the police report, she said that it was hidden in a laundry basket and thus not taken. But, on the stand, she said she had it with her at the time and she was not at home.

Yep, absolutely disgusting. I read that with a 2nd Degree plea -- which is what she wanted -- she would've face a sentence of between 10-22 years. She already has 5 in, so given good behavior, etc., it would've been possible for her to be out in 5 years or so. Unacceptable and the prosecution would not go for it at all.

Was watching Dr Drew the other night, and he put up a pic I had not yet seen of the back of Travis' s head with two large deep hashes. I remember Dr Horn testifying he had to shave some hair away to see certain wounds to the head. I guess I thought I'd already seen the extent of those injuries when I saw the back knife wounds and one under the back of his right ear.

This new pic horrified me, not just because of the pain Travis must have experienced, but because this bitch is claiming self defense. I can't look at any wounds to his backside...or neck...and ever come to that conclusion.

I believe there are probably more pics we haven't seen of poor Travis. I sure hope the jury is privy to all of them.

I'm sure all of you have heard reaccounts by survivors of brutal crimes that said that after the initial injury they stopped feeling pain and went totally numb or passed out. I really hope that this was the case with TA. I can't stand the thought of anyone having to suffer.

I think it's ridiculous that this doctor just gave Jodi a PTSD questionnaire and then diagnosed her with PTSD. I don't think it would take a genius to fake your answers. All along she has wanted to appear as the victim and answering the questions "right" gave her a perfect opportunity to do so.

What was especially sickening about those head wounds is that she actually chipped bone away from his skull with at least one of them. Just imagine the rage that psycho was in to do that. Poor Travis had to be terrified.

In looking at the "Snow White" excerpts I posted, I have to say that I feel Jodi is much more akin to the Evil Queen in personality, than Snow White. She most definitely is manipulative, calculating, egotistical and aggressive, and dare I say, evil. I don't find her interesting, but Travis (and others) obviously did. And Travis got in the way of her happily ever after by dumping him, and she certainly "took care" of that didn't she?

Here's an HLN profile of the jurors. http://www.hlntv.com/article/2013/03...odi-arias-jury

Yes. I just went back last night and watched the day that OG testified - well just the part when JM cross-examined him. I think that might have been my ah-ha moment for this trial - well one of the big ones. When JM asked OG about Jodi calling him about borrowing the gas cans and OG said, barely above a whisper, "Yes".
And then JM asked him if Matt McCartney ever showed up at his house. OG says he doesn't recall that. but he ends up recalling when Jodi returned to drop off a remote control. that day was huge!

Like someone said yesterday, she's like someone who kills their parents and then complains because they're an orphan!
    But:

This guy's testimony will have no affect whatsoever on whether she gets the DP. The was it works is that once the verdict of first degree (premeditated) murder is reached, the next step in the process is the penalty phase, where the jury has to decide on the DP or LWOP. This is all spelled out in the AZ criminal code, Title 13, statute #13-751, Penalty Phase.

The jury does this by considering whether there are aggravating factors (toward DP) or mitigating factors (toward "leniency"' i.e. LWOP.)

There are 13 aggravating factors enumerated in the statute including murder committed in an "especially heinous, cruel or depraved manner" (yep, think this qualifies!) and 5 mitigating factors including age of the defendant, capacity to appreciate wronfulness ot the act, etc...none of which are whether the defendant was 'traumatized'' by the act or does/does not remember committing the murder.

The DP in given if the jury finds one or more aggravating circumstances and determines that there are no mitigating circumstances sufficiently substantial to call for leniency, i.e. LWOP.

So, I don't get the point of this guy's testimony at all...if anything I think he was damaging to the defense, both by equating Jodi to police officers and servicemen and by talking about how murderers are 'traumatized' by their crimes. Really?? We are supposed to feel sympathy for the poor traumatized murderers now??

Has anyone else heard that the Gallery has advised Jodi Arias that there is no room on the walls between the Monets and the van Goghs, but there is a spot available between the calendar and list of emergency numbers on the door of the Refrigerator in the utility kitchen? That is, until the owner's children enter kindergarten!

    *way it works*
