Does anyone think there's a chance JM might want to take the jury to the crime scene? (in the rebuttal phase)
I think it would be very powerful for them to see exactly where all of this went down.

You know, I have wondered the same thing. There is a video clip, on the 48 hours site....Maureen Maher is setting up for content in the second story that they covered on Jodi. The updated version of "Picture Perfect." In it, they are taping inside the house. And she talks about what an unsettling feeling the whole place has. It gave me chills, too. I just wonder what they would think, as they walk the halls of that house. If only walls could talk.....

    As to Travis's experience sexually...

Two things on that phone tape (since we can't believe Jodi, and his friends and family thought he was still a virgin till the day he died, until evidence showed otherwise)...

    1. He does say that he had never masturbated until he met her.
    2. He also says though, when talking about giving her oral sex, that he likes her taste and look down there better than other girls.

On that call Travis would have no reason to lie, so obviously he wasn't overly sexual before her, but he had at least had oral with other women. I'm guessing he was inexperienced by comparison to Jodi, but more experienced than he should have been according to his faith. He may have never done more than oral before her though... He doesn't mention any other.

One thing that I find VERY interesting on that tape is that they both say they wish they had started having sex earlier, that they hadn't waited so long. He mentions that and she agrees. So, doesn't that disprove the fact that Jodi says that were naked and having oral sex together on the second time she met him (at the Hughes' home)? Also, they mention what sounds like the first encounter when they "grinded" and that Travis ejaculated in his pants, which Jodi said was "so hot." So, I really, really don't think they jumped into sex as early as she claims (according to their own taped conversation) AND I think she was the instigator.

This was brought up on JVM, or NG, I forget which. More why didn't he, than would he. I found myself wishing they could do a re-enactment with a scale replica of the closet shelves to disprove her theory of climbing on the shelves to get the gun. I have seen enough Snapped episodes to know that this can be done. I believe the house is occupied now so I don't know if that's even possible.

No worries! I was surprised, but once I read it through and looked at the post it was from a couple times I realized that it didn't make any sense what you were saying so it was probably meant for someone else. Plus, you and I have never had any problems, so I have absolutely no reason to expect anything rude from you. :) You've always been very amicable to me. Actually, I don't think I've, personally, had any problems with anyone on this site. We've got a pretty good bunch here!!!

Thanks ImBatman! for all your input and valuable insights!!!

I'm sure the pictures we have seen don't do it justice

Oh ok. I know it was purchased at some point since it went into foreclosure after Travis died. I couldn't remember though if someone actually lives there though. thats super creepy if they do.

You and I were having the same vision! I was listening to Juan question her about the shelf, and I was thinking about how the prosecutor in the Susan Wright trial brought Susan's bed into the courtroom. Had it set up and recreated the killing. It was controversial as hell, but it did bring home the point that there was NO way it happened like Susan claimed it did. I was wishing the prosecution in this case would have done something similar.

I totally agree with you on this part, SHE did the luring & seems he went along almost sounding like he was saying things & making them up as he went along, just to satisfy HER (not implying he hated it, but was lead) And why don't we hear the part that says something to the effect of "ok... it's recording now, let's begin to fantasize"
Plus, I was expecting this "SEX tape" they've played up to be this absolutely disgusting, unimaginable, filthy porn & it almost seemed G-rated once they finally played it, I was like, "are you kidding me, this guy is falling asleep for cripes sake?"

Now, that would be a terrific idea, however, I believe someone bought this property & who knows if the new owners haven't altered it?

I absolutely agree. I also think it would have been quite easy to manipulate HIM into making the "schoolgirl having her first orgasm" and "tie you to a tree and shove it in your ass" and "make a porno" comments. All she would have had to say (in a prior phone call or unrecorded section of this one) was "hey hottie biscotti, next time we have phone sex, these are my fantasies that I would like you to mention, it would really turn me on, ok??"

Also, remember, she recorded the phone sex tape just a few weeks before she murdered Travis. I doubt that was a cooincidence.

Excellent point regarding how they discussed wishing they'd had sex, sooner. According to her, they got right into things....practically from the get go. So this also goes against her "version" of things. The lies just keep on piling on top of her!

Had to adjust this a bit for Jodi. I think this is what she thinks:

I listened to that tape, waiting to hear a hint of the aggression and dominance that are at the heart of Jodi's defense claims. And I waited. And waited. And when it was done, I scratched my head and said "huh? is that ALL they have??" Someone asked, yesterday, what the "aha" moment was, for each of us. And I think that was my moment....when I was most open to hearing her proof of this control freak.....and there was NOTHING there. Not even a hint of it. That is when I knew she had no defense....that she was full of it.

There's a family with small children living there. They told the neighbors that they hadn't found out about the murder until a week before escrow closed. (I kinda find that hard to believe. I'm sure they knew, but they probably don't want to admit that to the neighbors; "Yeah, we knew there was a murder! That's why we got the house so darn cheap!") Apparently, they don't want their kids to know that there was a murder there (nightmares) and they've changed the inside of the house quite a bit. The neighborhood kids have been shielded from this information too as they don't want the kids telling the kids that live there anything negative about their home. The homes in that block all look alike. If they wanted to show a replica of the room and bathroom, I'm sure they could use any home that has the same layout. There are some for sale I believe in the immediate area.

I wonder if there is anyone living there now? I know the house eventually sold after it went into foreclosure.

We have several people from the area, does anyone know?

This actually makes much more sense than Stabby's version. It always struck me odd that this devout Mormon who had managed to hold out for 30 years (or at the very least was relatively inexperienced for his age) would throw that all out the window so quickly and easily. Her having to try for an extended time to get him to break down and give in makes a LOT more sense to me, considering what we know of each of them.

Eeeww... kinda feel bad for them (the kids) hopefully they ARE sheltered from what really went on there.
It would be great for the jury to "live" the experience by viewing, touching & knowing the distance of certain scenes being described. Plus it would really bring home the reality of this horrible event

The one thing I never saw in however many weeks she's been on the stand was remorse. She never apologized, never even seemed to feel bad for what she did, only sad that she got caught. If she had showed a tiny bit of that it could have gone a long way with the jury. Hopefully they don't feel sorry for her at all.

I had to disclose, by state law, the fact that a violent death had occurred on the property, when I sold my home following Steve's death. I am thinking that this law varies from state to state?

    Jodi's diary from jail!

    Entry #19

    February 13, 2013

    Dear Diary,

First off...135 pounds????? That a-hole actually said I used to weigh 135 pounds. Oh, I was so mad I saw red. If I would have had a knife I would have taken him out right then and there. Sure, I was actually closer to 140 pounds. But, come on? Does he think I am going to admit to that in court? I corrected him right away. I told him I was 120 pounds. Looking back, I wish I would have said something even smaller. But, I was so discombobulated, I could not even think straight.

Also, WTF? Why didn't Nurmi and Willmott tell me that today was green day? There I am, looking like an idiot, wearing blue, while they look all festive in matching leprechaun outfits. They know I have a green shirt too! It was so contemporaneous of them to exclude me like that. It better not happen again.

Anyhoo...I better try to calm down a little bit. I do NOT want my cold sore to come back! I thought it was never going to leave. I used some of the "Law of Attraction" magic to get rid of it. I envisioned other people having massive cold sores all over their bodies. I am such a master at manipulating the "Law of Attraction". I think I will write a book about it. No one understands it better than I do!

I sit here in my cell and I ask myself, "Self, is it really over? Are my sextifying days long gone??" I wish I could go back to the beginning and start all over again. I bet the jury wishes I could too. I know they see me as very auspicious. Who wouldn't? On second thought, maybe it is better that I am off of the stand. I was having a LOT of trouble keeping all of my lies straight. I am perspicacious to a fault, but even I am not perfect. Almost, but not quite. I mean, I am really, really, really, close to being perfect...about as close as any person could be, but I am only human after all.

I have a lot to look forward to. My domestic violence expert witnesses are going to testify soon. That ought to set a lot of things straight. I am so excited about fake crying again! I have had trouble balancing being a victim with being snarky. It's a very fine line. Now I can just go back to playing the victim. I've been working on my chihuahua shake. Apparently I was not obvious enough about it when I was on the stand. Well, they better be ready for an earthquake! I am going to show Arizona what an earthquake from California can really feel like!

    Till next time,
    Jodi

Apparently, they don't want their kids to know that there was a murder there (nightmares) and they've changed the inside of the house quite a bit.
I'm guessing there's some sort of police presence in the area as I'm sure that house might attract a lot of attention. Thanks for sharing that info!

I think that is the law everywhere. Before a house can be sold there has to be full disclosure about everything that may be wrong with it...including a death, either natural or a murder.
