Just a couple of pages later, a very nice long-haul truckers wife revealed to us that her husband did the same. She also added the codicil that once her husband started the practice he had to keep doing it because the regrowth of hair in those parts causes severe itchiness that is almost unbearable.

Question? Why does Mr. Nurmi keep scratching his junk in court?

I think he was kinda lonely too. A blog post he made references feeling lonely and seemed to be lamenting the fact he was single when his friends were all getting married. She was nuts but she gave him attention and probably made him feel less lonely for a while...

Just as a review, the timeline of the killing that was most interesting to me was on u tube. Go to u tube for Jodi, at the top, print in the words Jodi Arias Killing Timeline.
So far JM has made no mention of a timeline as Jodi sees it, and a timeline starting with a stabbing. I assume he'll bring it up in time, perhaps at closing. The events using Jodi's testimony leaves absolutely no time to get him killed so it matches the times on the pictures. What do you think?

That text is from May 26. I think she told him she had him about the tape and threatened to use it against him. He has a really bad reaction to something in those texts and that may be it.

I also don't believe she ever told him she was coming over on June 4. She couldn't risk him telling anyone she was coming over. It defeats the purpose of getting in and out of Arizona undetected if Travis tells someone she is on her way over. No way he knew.

Yay. Trial resumes after five agonizing days.

How long will Juan keep stabby on the stand today? He was so effective with his line of questioning last Thursday I cannot imagine what he will do to her today. Should be very interesting to watch.

That is the part that reminds me of the Falater case (which JM prosecuted and won LWOP). Falater said it was all a "fog" because he was sleepwalking when he murdered his wife. However, the aspect that overthrew that in the minds of the jury was all the steps he took to clean up afterwards. JM made a point to accentuate all the coverup he did saying that he obviously was consciously aware of what was done and was intentionally trying to hide his crime. Jodi is very similar in that regard. She is claiming the fog, but yet she did SO many crazy things to cover it up - attempting to clean the victim and the scene, deleting the photos, removing vital evidence and dumping it in the dessert, the voicemail, continuing calls and texts, the email, the letter and flowers to his family, attending his memorial, calling the detective to mislead, the lies in interrogation, the lies to the media...etc, etc.

He started in on her about "if you were in a fog, why would you clean up?!?!" Just reminds me a lot of Falater, and JM got the jury to realize his lies and acting were false (he also took the stand and was very much the actor pretending sadness over the loss of his wife).

Exactly. Her story is ridiculous (to say the least). I can almost understand being "in a fog" during the stabbing (although we know she wasn't!) but not during the clean-up/cover-up process. Not while cleaning Travis' body, deleting pictures, doing laundry, taking weapons, getting into her car and driving... only to "come to" in the middle of the desert.
I have hope since Mr. Martinez has experience with killers who claim fog and self defense. Jodi is trying to use both though.

My personal opinion (not based on real fact, mind you) is that she recorded that sex tape as blackmail. :)

That tape has sounded hinky to me from the beginning. I wonder at times if it wasn't cobbled together from other recordings - remember this recording was on the "lost" phone that her aunt "found" 2 yrs later. Did Matt McCartney cobble together a recording made from a collection of recordings she saved? She did testify that they had made other recordings in response to a juror question.

8. I think she accidentally threw camera in the washer and then when she was leaving she
did not have time to keep looking for it. Personally, I would not have left without it!
9. I wish during her interrogation they would have left her alone with a file of the pics they
had already shown her and watched her on camera, she would not have been able to
resist sneaking a peek. Watching her "attempt" to flirt with detective Flores was
disgusting!

Totally agree on the camera thing except I think she meant to take the memory card only and put the camera in the washer. She gathered up the towel, clothing, socks and camera and took them down stairs to the laundry room and in her hurry to clear out of the house she forgot the memory card.

I think the same thing every time I watch that interrogation tape. She wanted to see those pics so bad.

By getting Jodi to admit she did things to cover up / hide what she did, it forces the jury to recognize that taking action to cover up/hide means that you are aware that you did something worth hiding.

I hope they connect those dots....

Good on you for picking up on this. It's got two important words that shows what an inept and manipulative liar Jodi Arias is--REMEMBER and RECALL. Anybody who has ever taken an acting class is taught a concept called 'Emotional Recall' - reaching back into your rational memory to 'remember' events in your life in order to (irrationally) 'recall' the emotions you felt at that particular time. Then, the actor utilizes that Emotional Recall to project what the character is feeling at that moment in the drama. e.g. If the character is supposed to be happy at that moment, you reach back into your own memory of events in your life to re-live happy moments/memories, (your daddy pushing you on a swing when you were a kid, etc.) that triggers and recalls the emotion. We all experience what we refer to as 'flashbacks.' You can be hanging on a subway strap when, suddenly, a memory of an event comes to you involuntarily. First you get the memory and then you get the emotion/feeling--in that order--(and then you groan out loud and everybody looks around for your attendant). Conversely, you can't get the emotion/feeling without the memory. You can't 'remember emotions, Judge' you can only remember events. You can't recall emotions unless you remember exactly the event that brought them on. The more vivid the memory, the more heightened the emotion! (e.g. I remember my Dad's Funeral. It made me feel sad). Right there, Jodi Arias failed acting 101. She's trying to tell us, 'I can't remember killing Travis Alexander, I can only remember how I felt while I was doing it." Pure deception! I hope the Jury catches on. How the hell can they believe that Jodi Arias remembers what she felt, when virtually everything in her demeanor and what she says and what she writes, reveals that she actually remembers everything but doesn't feel anything about Travis Alexander except petulant resentment and homicidal rage.
