Something about seeing Jodi's name and a polygraph test in the sentence made me laugh. Just doesn't sound right!!! LOL

The defense actually filed and lost a motion to preclude the prosecution from arguing a lack of remorse during sentencing as well. It's a DP trial so they will throw everything and anything at wall to try and save her life.

I just hope we don't end up with a jury like the Pinellas 12 in the Casey Anthony trial.

WE all need to keep in mind that the final jury has not not been chosen yet. Final selection of jurors who will actually deliberate will take place by lottery after closing arguments.
I asked this about 10pgs of bitchin ago, sorry to repeat, but my observation of juries and listening to reasons they don't convict (even if presented with a plethora of strong evidence to the contrary) is they get bogged down in the jury instructions and legal questions they can't possibly understand... jmo they lose focus on what was presented and seem to struggle with the damn definitions.

If anyone can answer this .. I understand the whole AZ trial protocol of the jury being able to ask questions, but is there a limit as to how long it can go on? It seems like the defense is going for creating an enigma inside of an enigma

True but some juries, like the Anthony jury, just make up their own rules.

Remorse hasn't been denied. Judge deferred it.
A lot of motions are just your avg def atty motions. Shows Nurmi was at least doing SOP.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED affirming the court?s ruling dated August 27, 2012
deferring a ruling on the Defendant?s Motion to Preclude the State from Arguing Lack of
Remorse During any Potential Sentencing Phase.

yw, just happened to be one I had my eye on. We'll see it at a more appropriate time usually, after a verdict, before sentencing with some others.

For queen - its up to the judge to say enough but in a DP case, I seriously doubt you will see a judge deny a juror the right to ask a question. HUGE appeal issue they wouldn't want.
The concern is that they are asking a prolific liar any questions! AND, that a lot of questions we see them asking, have been answered in testimony! Someone isn't paying attn, dumb as a stump or we got some of both. IMO.

The jury began submitting questions as soon as Mr. Martinez started questioning Jodi again. I think if they didn't want more questions from the jury they would have taken the question box away. So I think Jodi is going to be on the stand awhile longer. The defense still has witnesses to call and then the prosecution will most likely have a rebuttal. This won't be over any time soon.

We need some comic relief at this point, if for no other reason than to break the tension that is building up in anticipation of tomorrow's re-opening.

    Please?

    Okay, I'll bite.

    Dear Diary:
I've been very busy for the past 5 days (thank you for the extra 2), as I'm practicing my dates and events so I won't screw (did I say that?) up on Wednesday for J.M. I need to keep my brain unscrambled so I can give the "right answers". I hope the jury didn't pick up on my rope answers not matching. On direct, I said T. tied me with a rope but I could slip my hands out. But when the jury asked, I said T. used twine, but it scratched my wrist, so T. cut them off! (oops).
My crying technique has gotten better, of course( it's really during the times I feel sorry for myself) and think it's been effective (the jury thinks I'm really being sorry).
I'm sorry to say I miss the manly sex, my female friend can't do things like T. did (gawd I miss that).
I've put on my charm and my fellow inmates back me, they say I'm a great person and think I should be released.
Bryan will be my protector once I'm out, he "knows" I'm innocent of deliberately killing T. and he thinks I'm wonderful.
Well, diary, that's all for now, gotta go rehearse some more. I can't shake like chihuahua and be foggy tomorrow. Bye JA.

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't know that a lot of those questions are coming from people not paying attention, more a way to catch Jodi changing her story up because she can't remember how she told it the first time. And it happened A LOT.

Typical Arias Defense strategy. Everything has double meaning. "Arias is a victim of a sexual abuser". If that strategy doesn't work, flip it to, "Arias is a a sexual abuser". "Arias is a faithful, pure, eager Mormon" or, if that doesn't work, reverse position to, "Arias was a Mormon only to please Travis". There are too many examples of her duplicity to list. She is a prolific, unashamed, slippery but deadly stupid liar.

Same will apply with the polygraph test. "Arias is telling the truth on the stand and has no mental issues" will become "Arias lied shamelessly, even under oath and is mentally ill". The Defense have all bases covered. The jury sounds bright, sharp and dutiful though, so a Casey Anthony result should be unlikely. It only takes a few dimwits though to change the complexion.

It is sickening, infuriating, frustrating and fascinating to watch. I can't wait until tomorrow.

It took the spotlight when a child, Candace Newmaker, died while undergoing a "rebirthing" technique session. All of the involved adults (none of whom were licensed, I believe) were convicted in the death, which was just horrid. The form of Attachment Therapy is, in itself, child abuse....many states have banned the practice, and rightfully so. Makes me furious to know what some of those children went through.
