They were talking about the juror question:
"Why was it ok to write about how Travis made you both sick and happy or sad and miserable or that something wasn't right about him?"
Jodi answer:
"That was a very mild way of how I sometimes felt about that darker side of him, as far as sick or miserable, as far as just the emotional turmoil and the pedophila, that was a side of him that he was trying to overcome or eradicate....."
starting about 13 min in.
Here is the journal entry that the juror question references that includes sick/happy/sad/miserable, dated 8-26-07.
Pedophilia supposedly comes out to Jodi Jan. 21, 2008
denn, you might be better off using ignore instead of arguing with them. It will get you no where. That being said, there are those of us who have read all 1723 pages. A lot of what you discuss has been covered already which is a good reason to take it to the chitchat thread. You could practice multi quote there too. I may join you practicing multi quote. I tried it once and didn't get the results I desired and now am gun shy of trying here.
I totally agree with Wasthinking. I can't quote from mobile, but to those of you who get kinda snarky about those of us who question some of the "irrelevent" things in this case, I have to speak in defense of some of us less learned posters and clarify a few things...First off, (not in defense of JA) actually someone can be damaged psychologically by another person resulting in severe personality disorders. Secondly, it is human nature to want to know what makes things tick or what makes a person do terrible things. Even as a parent, some of us wonder if grounding a child for misbehaving will result in them growing up and hacking someone to pieces. I'm sure JA's mother didn't consider that when she tore her kids ass up with a wooden spoon. This whole case has been bogged down with irrelevant b.s. WTH does JA having a tootsie roll stuck in her cooch have to do with the fact that she callously murdered someone then stuck them in a shower stall and stood over their dead body and washed herself? Not a damn thing..just a bunch of b.s. to add to this sorrid tale. So excuse the crap outta me if my comments or questions aren't along the proper line of your thinking. I really think its tacky to try to show your superiority over the rest of us. Other than a few JA groupies we all want to see her pay for her crime. As I said b4, at this point I don't care what they do to her as long as it brings some comfort to the family of TA and keeps everyone else safe from her doing this again. My apologies for the irrelevant and longwinded rant.
Can someone please tell me why Arias' mother and aunt are allowed to sit in the courtroom during proceedings, and whisper and laugh? What can be funny in this trial?
Thanks for the clarification M Joy. I don't think there is much Juan can go after with that one as she will simply say that she misunderstood that they were talking about the earlier entry. But that's just me! There are so many lies to sort out, that this seems like a minor slip compared to others.
Denn, I would quote your post, but the last one I attempted to quote has been stuck in moderation for 5,342 hours. I would guess that the reason they are allowed is because a) no one inside the courtroom has complained directly; b) the judge hasn't noticed because Jodi's lies are infatuating to everyone or Nurmi made her sleepy and unaware; and c) Stabby will claim that they are her "support" and she has a right to have them in court, as disrespectful as they are.
I'm not 100% sure on this but from what I've read I think felony murder is second degree murder (murder 2.) The AZ statute states that murder 2 is a class 1 felony with a 25 year max sentence.
This is where it gets complicated, jury instructions. Someone earlier commented on this. Also complicated will be the jury instructions regarding what constitutes premeditation and reasonable doubt.
Cricket what worries me us that with all the gooblygook they have thrown into this trial that there will be a juror up there scratching his head.
I think Nurmi with all his booger pickin' and back tracking has created some shred of reasonable doubt as to motive.

Very well spoken, Ian. And a good representation of how this thread functions, and why it is so amazing! Let's keep it that way!!

Because there is a certain level of "etiquette" when entering a long running thread. It is best done with grace and a bit of humility. After all, many people have contributed to it becoming what it is, today. There is nothing more frustrating than coming on here and having to scroll 30 pages of dialogue since the previous day, only to find a hundred posts of "lol" with attachments. It comes off as being an attention hog. And it's annoying. As many have already mentioned, take it to the "chit chat" thread. And to say "who cares??" indicates a lack of respect. Yanno?
Change "Universe" to "Thread" - and ponder on it. Come on people, "can't we all just get along?!?"(felt like lightening the mood a bit!)
I myself don't care to fight with anyone. Debate can sometimes be good. Silly me thought this was a forum to discuss the JA trial and those things closely related. On the most part ppl have been very kind, informative, and helpful. BUT there are a few that come off extremely snotty and condescending to some of us newbs. I'm just sayin'
