I don't think it was from the church...I think she said she picked it up at "the mall"?
here is a history of jodi's attys - see how many times nurmi tried to get out of this
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/l8bs75
and the manager of the restaurant when JA cut her finger was furious and posted on the Justice for Travis Alexander facebook page. She said she was there and did the report. Wrote she couldn't believe what JA said and I think she contacted the prosecutor. She was pissed!
i don't understand why you say travis was having money problems??? where did you read that? i was reading travis never actually cashed any of jodi's checks for the bmw and tried to get uhaul to pay for it. chris said that travis wasn't working 24/7 like he did b4 jodi, but i never heard him say he was having money problems - and his house wasn't repo'd til i think at least 9 months after travis died - i just assumed the family let the bank have it because they didn't have the resources

Lots of people "cashed out" equity in their homes (or at least they did until about mid-June 2008 when the housing market went kerplunk.) This was not necessarily indicative of financial difficulties - maybe he wanted to buy a house and flip it and become a landlord or maybe he wanted to buy a boat or make some stock market investments... Just some food for thought.

I thought it was really sad. JMHO but she was sickening. It sounded to me like he was under the gun with work and the house pressures, you know ... a working guys REAL life issues and she was whining some bullshit about her day. Its the one where on top of his own pressures he must have been trying to help her lazy ass out with something and she got mad and hung up on him because then he gets pissed and tells her touch, you are on your own now, you shouldn't have hung up on me. He said something to her about she had 27 hrs for PC
like a response to this isnt an emergency she must have been whining about. All from memory but I'll find the dialog if I can for you. It not only showed his pressures but how self centered this bitch is.
Jodi is a "social hiker" (as in a social climber).....she just hiked up her skirt to achieve her goals. she was TA's Achilles heal.
I'm not saying he was homeless or anything near that! Refinancing to get out of his adj arm, get better interest rates is still one more working man's pressure. He had a 49,000 balloon, maybe just wanted out from under that or it was due. Dealing with house finances is still pressures for a working man.
I recall thinking the guy had typical pressures and here she was whining about something so stupid in her irresponsible day. Missing a meeting or some lazy ass thing. He got pissed. Who would blame him! JA wouldn't know what pressures were, she was a parasite, not a bread winner like Travis. She didn't give a shit about saving her own 'dream' for a house. Walked away without a care from Palm Desert. Hell, she couldn't hang on to one for a whole yr! Travis had had his since 2004 .. responsibily, something the parasite wouldn't understand while whining for all his time.
Pls allow me to add, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more on this. Why .. because Juan is the one that brought these text in. FEB just happens to be the same month the sam artist parasite was sending sex text to Travis. Want to give you a bj, and that one Juan brought in where SHE is the one that brought up the 12 yr old school girl, and I want you pound my ass etc.
Yep.
The national enquirer posted a few snippets from the letters that Jodi's mom tried to sell them.
I actually think the person you replied to meant Daryl. Some people call him OG (Old Guy)
If you think about it, that's really not all that true. Before Jodi ever got involved with Travis, she actually hooked up with loser guys.
Vampire Bobby, Matt, Victor, and OG didn't even have steady jobs. I would suspect that Jodi was the bread winner in those relationships most of the time.
Travis didn't have the gold ring-so Travis was not making over $100,000 (what Gus and Jodi said) so to be honest-if she was looking for a man with money-Travis would not really be what I consider "rolling in dough"
I do think she was attracted to Travis, somewhat, because he had ambition and a steady job. I think because of Travis, she started to change the type of guys she wanted to hook up with.
There has been nothing that says Jodi just casually dated men and had sex with them. To be fair, she was in relationships with these guys she was sleeping with.
If you don't personally know the family, your comments are quite insensitive. I realize some don't believe in the DP, but maybe the Alexander family does. The jury will be the decider anyway. Further, you appear to be judging them for being at the courthouse each day and for wanting justice for their brother. Please, if I'm reading you wrong, let me know. That's just how you've coming across.
far be it for me to get in the way of true love... I think she's accepting penpals.

No, what they want is justice. They want Jodi to pay for the heinous crime she committed. And no one has the right to judge them for wanting Jodi held responsible for her deeds.
Jodi was the bloodthirsty one. Jodi was the cold-blooded killer; not Travis, not his sisters, his grandma or his friends.
And, punishing Jodi won't bring Travis back? Well, obviously, nothing can bring the deceased back, so we should totally change the law so that murder is no longer a crime. No point in punishing murderers, because doing so won't resurrect the victim. Yeah sure, makes perfect sense.
Silly me, I thought we sent murderers to jail and to their deaths because it was punishment for committing the ultimate crime of taking another person's life, in cold blood.
It is truly disturbing to see anyone criticize the family of the victim -- that would be Travis -- for wanting Jodi to be punished for her actions.
Jodi is behind bars and facing a possible death sentence, because of Jodi, and no one else. No one made her brutally murder another human being. She chose to do so. She thought she would get away with it; probably still does; and she thinks she should not have to face the consequences of her actions.
If Jodi ends up with the death penalty, it's because she earned it. Don't want a lethal injection? Don't brutally slash someone to death.

Exactly. Jodi thought she figured it all out. Her only problem was that she did it in AZ. If she didn't want the DP, stay out of AZ, TX and FL, to name a few. But, if you think you're smarter than everyone else, don't be shocked when it's sleepytime by force. When a verdict came down on the monster in my family's situation, not only did I get relief from the verdict, I had indescribable emotions when the judge was handing over the sentence. It was like YES! They all understand what this monster did to us and are going to take care of it because I couldn't. A victim's family is helpless and depends on the justice system to bring them relief...any kind of relief. Honestly, in our case, if the judge could have handed out the DP, I would have welcomed it.
I personally don't care what happens to Jodi, so long as she never sees the outside of a prison cell ever again. If life in prison would be the ultimate punishment in her mind, I hope she gets that. And if she is scared to death to be put to death and (assuming she really believes in any kind of higher power) afraid to go to hell, well then, I hope she gets that.
She didn't care about Travis' life, or about taking it away from him. She didn't care about murdering him in an unbelievably painful, fearful and torturous way.
If Jodi gets the DP, she will lay down and fall into a painless sleep and just never wake up. It won't come close to what Travis felt. No tears for Jodi whatsoever.
