There has been some inference that she splashed water all over the bathroom floor in an attempt to clean up, and then abandoned the effort partway through and fled the scene. The blood under the casing looks to me like it is not diluted with water, but it could perhaps be possible that she splashed water in that area and the top of the casing was washed clean. That being said I am very much of the opinion that she shot him last when there were inadvertent movements of the body that may have freaked her out. Otherwise, the shot was a final display of rage. I totally agree with you in that the gun was a last resort because she was smart enough to realize it could link her to the crime scene. Which is why she took it with her, of course.

I was thinking about that video where Travis is describing the near-death incident with the gun to his temple. Someone mentioned already that they felt JA was capitalizing on the fear that Travis expressed he felt in that story during the killing. I agree with that the more I think about it. If you watch the first interrogation video, she seems flabbergasted when Flores puts the evidence in front of her proving wrong her claim that she wasn't in AZ. I think she went into that visit with Flores feeling she was in the clear because she had covered her tracks in so many ways already - the ninja story didn't exist yet at all. She of course didn't count on the camera (I'm convinced she scooped it up with bloody clothing by accident and threw it in the wash without realizing it). After a night in jail spent thinking about how to explain away the little bit of evidence Flores told her about, she took Travis' robbery story (already fresh in her mind) and twisted it into something that reflected a little bit of the truth, a bit of Travis' story, and shit she had seen on TV.

She's very odd to me - on the one hand she is diabolically smart when it comes to manipulating things for her benefit. On the other hand, she is clearly an idiot.

Okay I'm going to say something here and I'm sorry if it offends anyone, but it totally creeps me out that Travis shaved his pubic hair. And it wasn't Jodi who put him up to it, some people mentioned earlier that it was something his friends had known about him for awhile.

Does anyone know of any other guys that do this? Is it a Mormon thing?

Something else about the pic of Travis in bed, aside from the fact that he's shaven below is the reddness all over that area, I know when Jodi was testifying about the KY she said it was some particular type? Was it one that gave a cool feeling or something? I'm wondering if that's why he looks all red, he's not circumcised so I didn't think he was...um..excited, thinking maybe while he was sleeping she put the KY on him and it turned everything reddish and give the appearance they had just had sex.

Travis is the kind of guy that gets regular manicures and has an immaculately organized and arranged closet - not too surprised that he shaves down there.

As to Matt - I agree with you Wishmich, I can't believe he would back a killer. I think Jodi is the master manipulator that keeps people who are useful. I dated a guy that reminds me of her - I'm pretty independent and strong, but due to his abuse and manipulation he wore me down. Even after the relationship ended, he tried and tried to convince me that we needed to stay friends (he had strung along his other two ex-girlfriends this way and they were still infatuated with him). He continued to try 2 years into my marriage before I told him I would file charges if he didn't stop contacting me. I think Jodi is like him and Matt and Daryl are still a bit under that spell. Or maybe she has blackmail on them like she got on Travis (the recorded phone call and all the kept texts and images). I don't get his behavior either

Unfortunately I *have* had a gun pointed at me (it ended up being a plain clothes detective, but I didn't know it at the time). I was eating a jelly doughnut, sitting at my desk. I dropped the doughnut, froze and said "you have GOT to be kidding me". I could only imagine the look on my face as I was staring down the barrel of that gun. That was 27 years ago, it was something I will never forget.

I cannot imagine the terror going through T's mind seeing Jodi standing there with a knife, gun, or both. THAT is one of the many reasons JA deserves the DP.

Thank you for sharing that! Although I have never experienced anything similar to this, it is the main thing that moves me about his death! IMHO, Juan Martinez may have had great effect with this jury in cross when he questioned her about her "suicide attempts". He went on to highlight that when her attempt 'stung so bad' can she imagine how Mr Alexander must have felt, "when you stuck that knife right into his chest! That really must have hurt, right?"
