No matter what happens to Jodi at this point, Travis will not suffer or benefit from it one iota. Most surviving relatives who have truly found peace after a loved one has been the victim of a violent act eventually come to realize that no amount of suffering inflicted on the person who did it can remove their pain. As unfair as it may seem, it is up to them alone to recover from their grief, and I don't believe that the pain of murder is healed by more murder. While prison as it stands today is a slow death in itself with very little resources to help the many troubled people shut away there recover, if we want to be a civilized society (not that Arizona is an example of one), that should be the goal, rather than a system that spits people out far worse than when they came in. Jodi still has potential even if she has done this horrible thing, as withered a potential as it is compared to what might have been. In death there's no chance for atonement or growth while in life there always is, even in a place like prison, and I personally can't deny someone else that chance. Because I'm not like Jodi. People who so easily would take someone's life have more in common with her, I think.
Dear Twilit: I agree with you in some cases . I believe that some people who have been sentenced to life in prison and even death MAY be capable of rehabilitation...but only a few and it depends on the circumstances of their crimes. Please know that people like Jodi Arias have NO CONSCIENCE which means NO GUILT mechanism in their DNA. They are emotionally inept in every way. They do not feel compassion, they do not feel empathy, sympathy etc. Their main goal is to get what they want regardless of the consequences. They do not have emotional PAUSE buttons. They just react, act and react without pause. Why? Because they are damaged goods. Therefore, a detriment and danger to society. I invite you to read some books about Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Sociopathy, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I HATE YOU DON'T LEAVE ME is a great on on the Borderline syndrome. Another one is STOP WALKING ON EGG SHELLS. It is clear to me that Arias is an extreme Borderline case with other factors. I dated one..... She fits the bill

If you read the Jodi Is Innocent site, they have just discovered the "Bombshell Tonight". They are bombarding Nurmi's office with faxes, emails and telephone messages, as we speak.

Because it has not occurred to any of those idiots that Jodi's attorney would not have access to this information.

I agree. Probably more of Jodis 'brother'Matt McCartneys fraudulent work. Court records usually list the DOB and race of the accused for starters.

My first reaction to your question was - I don't really give a damn what happens to her as long as she is not out walking around. Then I wandered over to JAII and those folks are so outraged, so righteously indignant, so invested in hate that - in all justice to them - Jodi should be sentenced to death. Otherwise, all that marvelous emotion will have been wasted. They have earned their indignation and outrage and ought to be allowed to enjoy it for the rest of their lives. I don't like the death penalty but I'll make an exception in this case... Justice for Jodi is justice for Travis!

I hear u ...best to let her suffer in fear and loneliness as long as possible. This is something only the death penalty will provide. Honestly, if she would just tell the whole truth, admit her obsession, rage and jealousy which led her to massacre, I would be OK with LIFE in Prison. If anything it will be her own lies that condemn her. There are just too many, too obvious.

On the JII site they quote from the Law of Attraction

The law of attraction cannot change anything in your life that you hate, because hate prevents the change from coming. Since the law is giving us exactly what we are putting out, when you hate something the law must continue to give you more of what you hate. You will not be able to move away from it. Love is the only way.

If you focus completely on the things you love, then you are on your way to a beautiful life.

Where have we heard that before?

    Please read:
Definition: The Law of Attraction: The Law of Attraction simply says that you attract into your life whatever you think about. Your dominant thoughts will find a way to manifest. But the Law of Attraction gives rise to some tough questions that don?t seem to have good answers. I would say, however, that these problems aren?t caused by the Law of Attraction itself but rather by the Law of Attraction as applied to objective reality. I don't know the stats for anal sex, but I would guess that less than half the population has engaged in it, at least in a regular basis. I never have, have no desire to. And I'm in my early 30s.

Martinez is like my parents generation. I would have no problem believing that that generation did not talk freely about anal sex.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, if people enjoy it, but it's just something that is still considered outside the norm I guess.
No, no, no. That was the hippies' free love generation. Before AIDS and "safe sex." They weren't puritanical, but things like anal sex and bondage were considered kinky. Kinky wasn't a bad thing, it was just not the norm.

Did you ever hear the story of that woman named Jane Andrews? Jane and Jodi could almost be twins.
Jane was just a working class girl in England that got a wonderful chance to work for the royal family. She started dating rich men. They would break up with her because she became like Jodi. The last dude-she really banked on getting married to him. She found a letter in his house that he wrote saying he was going to end things with Jane. While he was asleep, she hit him with the bat a few times, then stabbed him. Even though the killing is different than Jodi's, everything leading up to the killing is the exact same.
Prosecutors stated that the motive for the killing was a woman scorned. Andrews, however, testified in her own defence that Cressman had been abusive to her during their relationship. She cited his sexual obsessions and an incident from two years earlier where she had broken her arm while dancing, stating that Cressman had pushed her. She also claimed that she suffered abuse during childhood, which led her to kill. After twelve hours of jury deliberation, she was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Rebuttal and closing. The brutal death pictures will probably be shown during the closing.

( Note: Jeez, one would think the smell in the car , the computer searches, the laundry bag, etc. would have been enough). Oh well! One point he made stuck with me.... He said, The jurors may have sympathy with Arias despite her lies because here is a woman who is obviously very intelligent, artistic, attractive. What could her life have been had she not given into her obsession? Essentially, the jurors could decide not to kill her simply because of their sympathy for who this woman might have been had she not been mentally unstable.

This is why the CA case is, IMO, why people should never get emotionally invested in a trial if it is not your family.
IMO, Jodi Arias will not receive the DP.I have stated before-Murder 2. I still see Murder 2.
So far, JM has NOT proven premeditation.

There are jurors that still have questions and doubts in this case. I know everybody is all excited b/c of the questions...and I agree, some are very good. It's the few questions sprinkled in here and there- that should speak more to people.
Either one member or a couple of the jurors have serious questions. There are questions about the gas cans. There are questions about how she could have done it. There have been questions about Travis' character. The same things that this board goes over and over-is the same things that the jurors have problems with. JM has to leave no doubts out there that Jodi planned to kill Travis. So far, IMO, he has not convinced all 12 jury members.

I've been wondering about that too. But I'm leaning more to prostitution or blackmail, something money related. I just don't think Travis would be quiet about pedophilia.

Anal sex among straight couples is more common than known. To each his own, it's not our business. The Jodi Arias trial is concentrating way too much on extreme sexual detail, when they should be dissecting how Jodi slaughtered Travis. It is quite clear that Jodi was obsessed with Travis....in love. It is quite clear that Travis, was only in lust with Jodi. A man an have intense sex without falling in love. It is different for many women. Intense sex can equal love in their minds. I believe Jodi ultimately lost her mind when she realized that giving her self sexually ( in every way) to Travis did NOT equal love. Travis did not love her . He lusted her . Once Jodi accepted this, she went ballistic.

Umm, because she's never said anything about the stabbings, cutting and throat slitting except she can't remember? It's critical to show premeditation beyond a reasonable doubt.

I would say the "beyond a reasonable doubt " evidence is quite clear. Her little recall of the actual murder does not jive with what the camera she held in her hand and dropped ....is saying.

Why would anyone want to read this? A load of gibberish, incomprehensible by definition, lifted from Quantum Physics 'cause it sounds pretty and fraudulently proclaimed to apply to the 'transcendent' qualities of the human condition. Formulaic gobbledygook, (not an oxymoron) seized upon as an asset by it's hucksters and utilized as defined in finance = "An Asset is an economic resource acquired for the purposes of generating revenue," and for no other purpose.

Any attempt by any person to fathom what is supposedly proclaimed by the "Law of Attraction" (as referenced) may lead to lethal and fatal consequences. e.g. Ms. Jodi Ann Arias.

Balderdash! Let's get back to the Toblerone jokes.
