I don't understand the whole gun thing if Travis wanted to kill Jodi couldn't he just go into his closet from the bathroom and grab the gun himself? I don't remember where the entrances from the closet, does it open into the bathroom and the bedroom?

Is he trying to establish that she filled the gas cans again when she got gas for the car? If so wouldn't that put in question his assertion that she filled the cans in CA so she could hide that she was in AZ? I'm confused...

I'm with you. My only guess is that he's proving she's a liar by saying she returned the gas can right after she bought it, when in fact she's still had it in SLC.

Yes there are the two entrances into the closet... And great point ---> if TA wanted her dead, 1st of all she'd be dead, but that is the farthest thing from a "normal" persons mind... And 2ndly if he were the instigator AND he had a gun (which he didn't) again, she'd be dead.

because she said she only had 2 5 gallon gas cans - since she returned the third - but if you add up the amount of gas she bought at that 1 gas station - the amount of gas is more than what could fit into her car gas tank, and the 2 5 gallon gas cans - it shows she would have to have a third gas can - which idk why she is lying about unless she dumped it in the desert because it had some kind of evidence

Jodi can try all she wants to rationalize her actions and excuses, it will NEVER work. As I said before, she will get the Death Penalty.

It supports premeditation... the third gas can would have supported the theory that she had enough gas in cans to get her from California through Arizona and into Nevada.

Because our clever little Jodi did the math and worked out she need all the gas in the car plus the 3 gas cans to get in and out of Mesa without needing to fill up in that State, thus leaving tracks in AZ.
