Wonder if Judge was reading Nurmi the riot act just then, Nurmi walked back with a sour look on his puss and Willmutt was smirking as if this is all just good fun.

I turned it off right as Nurmi stood up lol. I can't stand listening to him. Plus I was getting motion sickness sitting the stupid time machine constantly going back and forth between every year of the last decade.
Did Stabby actually just say that due to the laws of attraction say that 9/11/01 happened because she and Matt broke up?
Did I hear that right or have I finally gone totally insane?
Ironically I can tell that Nurmi's questions are slightly faster than when she was on direct and re-direct. I can tell he's sped up his speech pattern slightly. But just barely.![]()
I'm not into making fun of "fat" people...I have my own weight issues I'm currently dealing with. :( BUT, Nurmi might want to consider going up a shirt size. His buttons are about to pop. (And I HATE his ridiculously big watch too.)

Seeing how the jury asked everything-it should take Nurmi another 9 days
I so wanted to slap that juror member who asked the question about previous boyfriends. I just knew Nurmi was going to go on and on about it.
Me either. One juror and one stupid question. UGH
I bet she's like that kid in school or during an employment orientation. You know, the boring speaker is getting ready to quit and says "anybody have any questions" and that stupid person raises their hand and they have about 20 of them.
Seriously though, this is making a mockery of the court, and the jury. I understand what Nurmi is doing and I do think it's worked. This cunt has now been on the stand for 17 days (I think) they know Arias pretty bloody well by now if they believe any of what she says, okay Nurmi has humanised her and made it that much harder for a jury to give her the death penalty. Personally, I doubt very much she'll get the death penalty (I'm against it anyway, but hey ho) so it was a good tactic and it's probably worked but enough is enough. Nurmi should be able to understand that if he continues on like this he may very well lose the jury. Sorry but I'm just soooooo over the fucking boring minutiae of Jodi Arias's pathetic little life.
I was wondering, does anyone think Nurmi told her based on the jury questions, she's in trouble? Or do you think he thinks things are going in their direction?

I doubt she listens to him. She thinks she has the jury eating out of her hand. So she's so proud of herself up there, confident and assertive enough to challenge the Judge and the JM when he objects. Yesterday I think she even challenged one of Nurmi's own objections!
I REALLY wish I could read lips. I wonder if the judge was saying that he needs to keep this short and sweet and NOT rehash her entire testimony. I grabbed a couple of screenshots. First, she waved off the court reporter, whatever she was saying was not "official" I think. Martinez didn't say anything, but he looked pleased by whatever the judge said to Nurmi. Nurmi looked very pissed. He have Willmott a definite "I can't believe her" look.

Harlette - I will jump in. I spent over 8 years in singles wards, also my husband was a missionary and has given his input too.
For those wondering:
1. The missionaries always explain the law of chastity. This is especially true if the individual has already been sexually active and/or is living with a member of the opposite sex that is not their wedded spouse or family member (I almost wrote and/or - ewwwwww).
2. When explaining it, they would have stated that "no sexual activity is permitted outside marriage" if they felt further clarification was necessary, then they would have. I think that would make it pretty clear that anal and oral are not permitted.
3. When an individual IS living with a member of the opposite sex that they are not related to or married to (AND especially if they have or are having a sexual relationship with said indidividual) they would not be permitted to be baptized until they were either married or had found separate housing. There are not exceptions to this rule unless you go to the first presidency of the church (like the prophet) and get permission - which may only happen if you were caring for a friend who was a quadriplegic or something.
4. Singles wards cover this topic EXTENSIVELY - and considering Jodi was in my ward, yeah, she knew plenty well! Heck, you hear an audible sigh and groan from the congregation any time the topic is chastity. Since it is a common issue for single adults, it is very commonly addresses. And they go into it plenty clearly. To give you an idea: All clothing is to remain on at all times. No necking or passionate kissing. No touching of private areas over or under clothing. No private areas touching together. Etc... Kind of hard to think any of her activities could be construed as a grey area when these are the strict guidelines.
There is no way on earth that she didn't know. And honestly, I don't understand why she is even pretending that. Why not just say, "we both knew it was wrong according to our religion, however, we started down that path and the further we went, the deeper into it we got until we just gave in. Then, we enjoyed it so much we figured we'd continue and someday repent when we choose to move on." I would believe that for sure. It's just a stupid thing to lie about and completely unbelievable!
So there you go...Mormon chastity 101.![]()
Hubby says he instructed her to go on and on about anything not murder related... as the jurors will be so filled with that shit that they will forget lil details of testimony about the murder.
He may have told her they are going down - yet I just don't think Jodi believes it... otherwise she would have had a real bawling moment by now

Holy hell. I missed a lot! Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all the links/updates everyone puts up! I honestly couldn't stand watching Nurmi's stupid ass for re-direct, so I avoided the trial this week and started watching Downton Abbey lol. Will say that I LOVED the skank question from the juror....awesome lmao. Seems to me, now that I'm caught up, that they don't appear to be buying her bullshit. Thoughts??
I'm not Mormon [although I recently saw the musical Book of Mormon, which was fabulous!].... and even I know that a religion renowned for an emphasis on wholesomeness (modest dress, family togetherness, no caffeine, no alcohol, etc) is NOT going to have rules saying oral and buttsex before marriage are permissible.
I can't believe Jodi thinks anyone will buy such an incredibly lame lie...
Plus, if you thought it was okay Jodi, WHY WOULD YOU KEEP IT A SECRET?!?!?! You woulda been like, "hey sister such-and-such, oh yeah I was just over at Travis' house giving him a BJ! Sorry, I forgot to call you back. So what's up?!"
If you don't think something is bad, you don't feel the need to hide it!![]()
