If you haven't seen this, it's pretty compelling. I don't agree with every part of it but I think it's on the right track.

I sure wish I had a healthy dose of sociopathy ;) to me the best sociopaths read people instantly. Me, I gotta listen to them. What bothers me about Jodi is that people didn't like her, they were repulsed by her. They talk about emptiness, nothing behind her eyes, being empty, doesn't get social cues. Something is there but what is it?
I look at this differently, though I lean toward her being narcissistic. I don't think "SHE" was able to move on unless he was dead. Given their history they always ended up back together. Once he finally got angry and called her out on her manipulations and there was a wholesome educated good girl he was interested in, she had to know it was over (for him). It was the end to her wishes hopes and dreams...so she had to kill him.
The rental car is significant because she deliberately chose a model that wouldn't attract attention AND didn't have a GPS cause you can track where the person traveled. If she planned out how to assure there was no trace of her in AZ, she sure as hell wasn't going to have the details of her entire trip in the GPS memory.
If I were on that jury, I would ask:
"After coming out of your stupid lame ass Fog...and if you had any shred of a soul in you, WHY THE FUCK did you want to see the pictures of what you did to this man you supposedly "loved despite his many flaws?" How could a human being with any kind of soul want to see that?
Then I would pull a Costanza and be like " That's it for me, I'm out!"
She is not good for my health. I don't hate much of anything or anyone, but I hate this bitch.
A thought on premeditation...
Here are the various premeditation factors:
1. Gun stolen in a seemingly staged robbery - same caliber as gun that was used on Travis and is not a super common caliber
2. Went 90 miles out of her way to rent a car
3. Asked for a less noticeable when offered a red car - went with a white car instead
4. Potentially dies her hair from blond to brown - less recognizable as it was always blonde when in AZ
5. Removes front license plate and turns back license plate upside down
6. Tells NO ONE that she is going to go to Arizona
7. Cell phone dies or is turned off during the entire route through Arizona and while at Travis' home
8. The gas cans and paying only cash throughout Arizona when she has been using a card all throughout CA and in UT
9. Brought a 5" knife (5" according to ME) into the bedroom/bathroom area
Now, if there were only a couple of these things, then I would believe that they could be coincidental. However, this many factors put together make it highly unlikely. Not to mention her many, many methods of covering up the crime after the fact - going so far as to call and email the victim, contact the detective multiple times, send flowers and letter to his grandma and family, attend his memorial...etc.
It reminds me of her first interrogation with Flores when he goes over the evidence and she tries to explain each one away. "We found your hair there" "Oh, well I used to brush my hair there all the time." "We found your bloody palm print" "Oh, well, his dog scratched me and I probably touched the wall." And she keeps asking him, "that could be why, right?"
There are just TOO many factors to explain away. It just doesn't add up right for her...

Headline on Nancy Grace: "Jurors take a stab"..
Unfrickenbelievable!
Is there any definitive proof she was at his house at 4am on June 4th?
Lol! But the noose knot would just slip right off that glib tongue. Unless ... it's done by a magic rope that's loose but taut, then tightens again all by itself? Yeah, i'd go for that.
She's had many balls, yes.
How sad Annie. I just read your other post that you have found peace through time, that's so nice to know. x
I really don't think she has. Some questions I've wondered at then thought, no, I think he/she's testing her (real or imagined) capacity for recall.
You are? I'm intrigued by this, but won't go any further in case I'm reading this wrong.
You're right, she did.
Glad you said this, as I couldn't be bothered saying it again. Absolutely agree, Martinez is nobody's fool.
This exactly!
Not seen Justice around today. Hopefully just busy with real life things, and feeling lots better than yesterday![]()
I am amazed that this woman has an answer without hesitation to every question posed to her. This is one of the most fascinating case studies of sociopathy/narcissism that I have ever seen. Clearly she's a liar at every turn BUT....her ability to explain away the brutality of the crime is fascinating. She believes every word she is saying. The power of denial is incredible. One question the Jurors need to ask: Why did you slit his throat to the bone, almost decapitating him if you had shot him first and stabbed him repeatedly? Why the overkill?
The reason she dumped him into the shower and washed him down might be due to lose of bowel control at death or due to shock from the heart stab. Apologies for being so blunt...it happens.
Yeah I've always thought the shot came first and it got messed up. Or 'shit got messy'! With all of her planning how could she think she could stab and kill and be successful? If you haven't murdered before that's a big risk. A gun is not a risk. I've always thought that she found the casing, picked it up and put it in her pocket but it dropped out. I know the facts lean more towards the shot coming last but the ME's doubt due to the state of decomposition and the way she planned everything so meticulously doesn't fit in with what she was trying to do. If she wanted to cover her tracks so well, duh? leave a guy brutally stabbed with a jilted lover that was going to be the first suspect? I also agree with an earlier post that she planned to do it in the shower and take the body out to the desert and use the gas to burn him. I would think there might have been a tarp in the car that was thrown out too.
Dear ImBatman,
There are different levels to sociopathy and psychopathy. Just because you may lack empathy or may be a narcissist or have sociopathic symptoms...does not make you a murderer. Personality disorders are mild to extreme. Also both these disorders can be coupled with Narcissism, Histrionic personality disorder, bi-polar, borderline etc. And don't forget RAGE. There are many combinations she could be. Would be so helpful to know which one and any combinations that is...according to the prosecution, that is. The bottom line is that she snapped. Had...would could be termed as a psychotic RAGE break. She had no emotional pause button.
