The prosecution will absolutely have a chance to address new evidence (and new evidence only), buy my point is that you have to stop at SOME point. I'm sure they could keep going back and forth and back and forth with Jodi until Christmas.
They have closing statements to address the disparities within her testimony and tie the evidence+testimony into a neat little package for the jury, which given JM's track record and the facts of the case, I don't think he'll have a hard time doing.
