On another note, I bet she misses him. He was the best thing she ever had. It's too bad she couldn't let him go and move onto Ryan. I think she enjoyed the ups and downs...the expressions of emotionality between the two of them. That song " you are gonna love me" is appropriate, no?
I read this as all part of her acting abilities. The dramatics of Jodi and her odd perception of life around her, and her place in it. Just my observations, of course. But I see no guilt or remorse or shame.

Consciousness of guilt ( you can google it) simply means evidence of actions taken to cover up the crime. Here's the short list of her actions:

Washing down the crime scene with lots of water
    Moving the body
    Deleting the pictures
Emailing when she knew he was dead
Leaving a voice mails though she knew he was dead
    Washing off the body
Putting, towels, his underwear, the socks and camera is the washing machine with bleach to damage/ remove evidence
    Tossing the gun
Getting rid of the knife and rope
Getting rid of the kill clothing

    And so on.
Okay, now I get where you are coming from! Thanks for clarifying the term!

This is not the face of shame looking at his slit throat and gapping wounds.

I agree. I think this was after initial strike:

Are his legs crossed here? Right over left very close? Am I seeing that correctly?

Shame as used is personal, it's about oneself. guilt is other centered, it is about the harm caused to another person by violating social, cultural or legal rules. Could include religious laws as well, I see no guilt. Remorse stems from guilt. shame is a painful feeling about oneself.

I've watched and read everything I could regarding JA, TA and the trial. I haven't interviewed her but would love too (who wouldn't). Psychiatry is like being a detective.

that would be uncrossed with his Calf right up against his thigh. Bend you leg and your calf sits there like that (he had big calfs if you look at all his pics and even the autopsy pics.

I just got it now, Crazy Lady...after looking at the shots, the side by sides all day! I always thought it to be her foot, too!

The confusing thing is the wall and the floor look the same, to be made of the same material (carpet), and the white strip looked like a door threshold, with Travis' body looking like her foot. But that's just because the photo is so grainy that you really can't tell tile from wall plaster from carpet.

What finally made it clear to me was covering up the upper, left hand corner of the pic (Travis' body). Then just concerntrate on the right side. Your eyes can play tricks on you, but focus on the white strip and picture that as a 3" high baseboard running down the length of the floor, up the wall. That the demarcation between the floor and wall. You should be able to visulaize the wall, going up, and the floor beneath the white strip/baseboard. Still hard for me to make out the shape of his body, but it's way more understandable. She was pulling him down the hallway at the edge of the wall, using her hand (bloody palm print) to push off against the wall as she dragged him.

Absolutely! I love the interview that she is primping herself for while in her prison stripes....where she is powdering her nose, smiling, and flipping her lustrous locks about! If it weren't for the stripes and bars, I'd guess she was getting ready to go onstage for American Idol. In Jodi's mind, I believe she is eating up all this attention...she loves it!

If psychiatry is detective work, they have a bad record! Even after Bundy was known as a serial killer, he beat them at their own game. She didn't bother telling a real detective anything but lies, any communication would be just more of the same with her. Personally, I wouldn't bother giving her a minute to manipulate or bask in attention of a second of my time.

I know that shame and guilt have two different definitions....but I don't believe Jodi displays either one. What she does display is an understanding of right and wrong. That has nothing to do with guilt or shame. It's simply the ability to discern what is socially acceptable from what is not....and Jodi knows that murder is not acceptable in a civilized world. Jodi is able to reason. She knew that what she had done was wrong, and she decided she needed to cover that up. She just did a piss poor job of it.

I think her body language shows embarassment rather than shame. She was embarassed to have pictures of her 'stuff, down there' displayed on the big screen in court and she was embarassed to be caught and shown to be a liar and an incompetent criminal. The only shame she felt, maybe in her whole llife, was at being Travis's "dirty little secret", the one that he did not want to publicly acknowlege.

And this part of the article you were quoting, defining psychopathy vis a vis sociopathy, explains to me how Jodi (in my mind a psychopath), was able to function so calmly in the midst of such butchery, having no autonomic (non-voluntary) bodily response to such a horrific scene, to all of the blood, the site of his slashed throat, and why I'm sure she is lying about feeling such revulsion at the sight of Travis (supposedly) masturbating to the pic of the boy that she puked.

"The psychopath is organized in their criminal thinking and behavior, and can maintain good emotional and physical control, displaying little to no emotional or autonomic arousal, even under situations that most would find threatening or horrifying. The psychopath is keenly aware that what he or she is doing is wrong, but does not care."

    This is a good point.

It took her just a few months to totally entangle herself into every part of his life -- his religion, his business. She was this empty shell dependent on another for her identity.

Living in a tiny room made for a 10 yrs old at her grandparents? Too fricken stupid (junior drop out) too lazy to make a life for herself, and being a parasite off anyone she fancies to obtain self satisfaction.
Oh wait, that's jealousy isn't it.
Like she said in her Flores act one cry, "it's not fair". Not fair others work their asses off to provide a life of success for themselves. Not fair they work so hard, it provides a nice house for them. Not fair they work and earn a nice car that isn't repo'd because you are tooirresponsible to pay for it. Boohoo, it's not fair they don't give everything they have to me, I want it damnit.

The term "Consciousness of Guilt" refers to the courtroom definition of guilt ( this court finds you guilty of murder in the first degree ).

It's the other definition of the word "guilt", not the emotion.

omg! Play Misty for me, perfect fit moreso imo than the others. An unmarried attraction for 'potential' love mate. And a drama queen just like our slasher Arias.

That being said, since the picture of Jodi wearing the T-shirt and the picture she took of the T-shirt and underwear together after Travis' death, combined with the allegations that it was one of many "Travis Alexander's...Being Better Blog," I was surprised the actual shirt wasn't introduced into evidence.
But Jodi did testify (claim) that she only wear either of those items in private. The thought of wearing either the shirt or the shorts, (I've never heard them referred to as underwear) was 'too embarrassing," she said. It's not as though Travis was parading her through the streets like a branded steer showing that he was the studliest hand on the ranch. If there was something to communicate with the "Travis Alexander's" lettering on the shirt or the "Travis's" lettering, it was a communication confined to the two of them behind Jodi's "closed doors." I betcha if she had the chance, she would have willingly worn garments emblazoned with the words, "I'm Travis's and Travis is mine." Remember how his former girlfriend testified about how inappropriately Jodi 'clung' to Travis at the gathering of his friends whenever she was present?

She could alter the prints on the carpet (or anywhere) simply by taking that glass and dumping water around so Juan didn't impress me with that one.

And that's another thing, they presented a partial shoe print, then left that hanging.
I, too, seem to vaguely recall that the defense showed a crime scene photo of what looked to be a partial shoe print in blood, near the walk-in closet door (bathroom end, on the tile.)

And the hughes' said she was inappropriately physical in their presence, nibbling his ear, too touchy feely to the point it made them uncomfortable.
