No doubt in my mind-Jodi was covered in blood. Jodi had to have a backpack or something in the bathroom with her.

Jodi can not tell us the truth. If she tells us the truth-she will die.
I really do believe Jodi wants to tell everything that happened.
In her head, there is a good reason why she killed Travis and she blames Travis because she killed him.
Her story makes no sense, because it's not the truth. She fits in lies to mix with the truth. The reason-she doesn't want to die.

I'm always surprised when people say Jodi should tell the truth or question why she's lying.
She had to clean up in the house or she would have tracked blood all over the rental car.

We can't expect the truth from Jodi, like Judge Strickland said of Casey Anthony, "The truth and Ms Anthony are strangers.", the name can be swapped out for Jodi and is just as true. As you say, she can't tell the truth, she will die if she does.

I do not doubt that he said that and Jodi Arias remembers that she said that. She seized upon it and transposed Travis's pleas and screams as she was murdering him into the self-serving Ninja story. That is a perfect example of Jodi Arias 'lying' by 'not lying,' (the fact is accurate but the truth is not revealed) that has been mentioned previously on this thread. That's her trick. She's been employing it her entire life and certainly throughout all her lies about Travis's murder. She uses her garrulousness (excessive talking) to pull off her deceptive semantic tricks. According to Jodi Arias, 'If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck', it is not necessarily a duck. In my 'perception, she would say, it could be a dog imitating a duck then she will go off on a tangent that in her life experience, insight, blah, blah, she has concluded that it is possible for dogs, in 'reality,' to be perceived as ducks. Sadistic and Sickening! I hope the jury catches onto her patterns of deception and nails her on it. It's not very far off the sequence where she was dissembling about whether or not she knew Travis was dead that finally drove Martinez to ask in frustration, something like, "Why is it so hard for you to understand the difference between somebody breathing or not breathing?" If ever anyone feels a twinge of sympathy for her because of the circumstances in which she finds herself, this should drive it out of them. What a hostile..............(complete the sentence).
I believe there were a few things that Jodi said in the ninja story, that were actually said by Travis. She uses grains of the truth sprinkled in with loads of lies.

If she shot him - and he regained consciousness he may have comprehended something was seriously wrong but he didn't make the connection that ja was the cause.

If she stabbed him first he would have immediately realized the peril he was in and he would have known ja was the cause.
She delivered the fatal wounds within one and one-half to two minutes. Hardly time for Travis Alexander to absorb the reality of what this person who said she loved him was doing to him. If he could have done that, he certainly would not have pleaded with her for help. We've all heard stories of victims calling out to their murderers for help in their final death throes. I'll try to find some examples. What comes to mind is that young schoolgirl in that northern(?) Nevada town near the California border that was murdered by her teenage childhood friend/former boyfriend(?) and his jealous, obsessed girlfriend.

It's a shame he's not English, because then the two fingers up would mean "fuck you".

My heart just breaks for Travis when I try to comprehend his final seconds. God knows he was terrified. His sense of terror is the main reason why I cling to the notion that she shot him first. I want to believe that he was not fully sensing what was going on and just maybe his ability to feel pain was somewhat minimized.

Otherwise I can't imagine the pain and terror he went through.

I truly hope she gets the DP.

Perhaps Travis understood the English Idiom. I understand a lot of them and I've never lived there. Travis was saying 'F**k You' and Jodi Arias read it as a 'double bird.' We all know Jodi is yappy. I haven't heard anyone claim she is smart.

I wish that Juan would've mentioned that Jodi remembered what type of water she was drinking during her "fog"

Is it possible to say, 'peace on you, skank' with a combination of hand and facial gestures?
    Meaning is context. lol

ETA: I forgot to mention. I think the pic of Travis with his hand up is him tossing the KY bottle. In the one pic, you can see the KY bottle next to his leg and then the other pic it is not there. It is up by the pillow, near his head.

The reason I thought she possibly shot him first was a few things. Most of which came from her words in the ninja story she had given Flores. She said she heard a "pop"...and then she said he was screaming (but not like a bitch) but more in pain. Then she said something about hearing the guy telling the girl to "just finish him".

The other reason is, the angle of which the shot from his right eye to left cheek...standing next to him while he sat in the shower.

But I don't think he was sitting down when she stabbed him in the heart. She would not have had a clear direct shot of it because his knees would have been in the way. IMO

If you are a guy and you are watching Jodi Arias on the stand, there is a good chance you've shuddered and thought, could this have been me? Could I have fallen for Jodi and could I have been her next victim?

Most people would agree that Jodi Arias is not a threatening person, or a person that would evoked fear in people prior to her trial--especially to men who are bigger and stronger than she is. As you can now see in hindsight--how wrong your thinking would be!

So how do you then protect yourself from falling victim like Travis did to a woman who appears so meek as Jodi did? Were there warning signs?

Absolutely. If you were my brother, or son, (or daughter or sister) I'd tell you this...

Psychopathic people tend to cross personal boundaries very quickly. They will fall "in love" almost overnight. They will commit themselves to a person very quickly. They will profess love for another way sooner than the average person and they will shower their object of affection with an abnormal amount of attention very quickly. They will tell you that you are the one long before most other people would do so naturally. Take heed!

Another warming sign is that the harness the power of their sexuality. Psychopaths have a lot less fear than the average person and are not shy about sex or their bodies, and find great joy in using their sexuality as a tool. You won't know it as first, but if they are sexually very open and willing to do things most other wouldn't, show no inhibitions and are willing to get sexual faster than most people -- bells should go off. It's a red flag. Sure they will tell you that you are different and special, and they don't normally do this, but be careful. It's another trait of a psychopath.

Once they get you in bed, one thing is for sure--they will fulfill your every fantasy--not because they want you, but because they want you to be vulnerable and wanting more. Sex is a desire they play on to manipulate and control a person, and they will continue to meet your fantasies in an effort to gain more and more control. They lure you with visions and fantasies and experience of sex from your wildest dreams! Remember, they have no inhibitions! For a woman psychopath, this is easy to do as men are vulnerable in this arena and they know it. I've seen it time and time again.

I don't doubt that Travis was transfixed on Jodi for this reason and he had a hard time pulling away--even when he saw her diabolical side because it was very hard to walk away from his fantasies (who would ever do this again?), and you can bet Jodi knew this and used it as one of her most powerful tools. When someone starts using sex to get things or to control you -- that is dangerous territory.

I have no doubt that Jodi used her sexuality as the ultimate tool against Travis, and he had no idea until he was in way too deep. Granted, these manipulators start small. They may start out offering sexual gratification in return for something small such as a gift they want, or a dinner out, or getting their way. That's your first clue to BOLT! But they will continue to escalate it for more and more control.

And when they feel they are losing control, they will amp up your sexual fantasies and pleasure to keep you coming back. Don't ever convince yourself this is just a physical relationship. I think that is what Travis did, and that belief is what ultimately lead to his demise.

The more control Jodi got over Travis using sex, the more she wanted to manipulate him, and the more she believed she could manipulate him. For her it was never about the sex--it was all about the control and when she felt she lost control, and she did all this sexual pleasing of Travis for not--she let it out in a fit of rage on him --making him pay the ultimate price for what she believed was the ultimate betrayal. She gave and he did not. That ended it.

While people think lying is harmless, it actually says a lot about a person's character. I can assure you Travis was well aware of how Jodi lied and it may have been something he disliked as time when on. When someone tells you who they are-- that they are willing to lie to others for their own gain -- take it as a clue that no one is important to a person like this -- not even you, even if you are the center of their universe and they confess their dirty lies to you. Take it as a huge beacon in the night to run and take cover! Quickly.

In the end, Jodi used Travis' fantasies to lure him to his death. She lured him into the shower on the turn-on of taking provocative photos. Then she got him to turn around and show her his back and that is when she inflicted the ultimate betrayal on Travis as she started stabbing him as he stood defenseless, and naked in the shower.

All I know it's pure speculation on our parts, and unless she does a "Snapped" sort of story after she's exhausted all her appeals , she will not fess up to what really happened. I do think she will fess up one day....this is just too juicy to her to keep to herself. But like others have stated..I do think her lies are sprinkled with some truth. Sprinkles of it!

Speaking of the jug of KY, earlier in the trial, either Martinez or Nurmi kept pointing out the KY and it moving locations in several of the pictures. I believe it was Martinez questioning one of the camera forensics people but did that train of questioning ever lead anywhere? At the time, it seemed like the questioning was going somewhere but, what with HLN and their constant commercial interruptions, I never did catch what the issue was with it moving around all over the bed.

Also, I REALLY wanted Martinez to show Jodi the "Travis Alexander's" T-shirt and have a total L&O moment where he turned it around to show the back (since Travis' friends have alleged it says "Being Better Blog" on the back). Was anyone else disappointed this didn't come into play?

I'm hoping he uses that infamous T-shirt in his closing arguments, since the defense portrayed it as a sign of Travis' domination of Jodi.

I totally agree she thinks it's all Travis' fault...but after keeping this all to herself til the lies can no longer "benefit" her, she will eventually spill it. She will spin it the way she thinks it happened in her demented head and why she did it because of Travis' fault. She will want to try to clear her bad image that everyone has of her. As if her real story would do that, but in her head it makes total sense.

Thanks for posting that article, Crazy Lady. That was excellent.

I wonder how mothers teach their boys about subject matters like these? I wonder what signs set off "red flags" for mothers when they meet girls like this??

Seems like a lot of people were fooled about Jodi. It seems the only people that suspected she was off were the ones that were around her a lot.

As a mother of two sons, it never entered my mind to warn them about women like Jodi. It wasn't until my son was dating a girl that had severe mental issues that I felt the need to get involved in his relationship. She claimed she was having a seizure and pulled a knife on him. Yeah, mom decided it was time to tell him she was a few bricks short of a load. I didn't see it until, like you said, I was around her a lot. The knife episode was the last straw for me. They dated for a short time after, then she started sleeping with his bf. She was the closest to Jodi I've ever come and it scared me to death.

Here's the dateline from last night. Is that they one you mean? The title is called "Along came Jodi"

Just words on a page until someone gives it a context! At least take credit for that.

It's certainly possible. I see her as someone who enjoys having the upper hand and right now, in her demented mind, as long as no one knows what happened, she has the upper hand. The problem is, even if she were to tell the truth, beginning to end, who would believe her? It would be Jodi 29.0.

I have recommended that book often. I sure learned a lot from it.
