I meant, if he is dead...can the ME open his eyes and for them remain open to take a picture?

Those two things are the reason I question that there is definitive PROOF that this first stab was when he was sitting in the shower.

I feel as though she started swinging at him while he was sitting down and that's where the stab wounds to his head and neck come into place. At that point he gets up and tries to fight back. She gets his chest area while he is standing near the sink. That's why there is splatters all over the bathroom. From her swinging crazily. He then starts to run down the hallway. She stabs him in the back while he is trying to run/stumble/crawl. He collapses at the end of the hallway close to the bedroom door. She flips him over and slices his throat. She then drags him back to the shower/bathroom, shoots him and the washes him off and leaves.

Of course, I could be wrong but that's just how I feel like it could of happened. I'm starting to think that the gunshot was first. I'm having a hard time with that one. I don't know what to think.

My uncle passed away last year from cancer and he had the death stare... We tried to close his eyes and they wouldn't close! It was the creepiest thing. I'm not sure if you could open them. I'm sure you could slightly but if he had rigamortis (sp?), it would probably be hard. Now I wonder?

Lol, that question makes more sense.

I don't know the answer. My guess would be yes.

    Sorry about your uncle.

Rigor mortis sets in at some point, and then goes away.

    From wikipedia:
Rigor mortis (Latin: rigor "stiffness", mortis "of death") is one of the recognizable signs of death, caused by chemical changes in the muscles after death, causing the limbs of the corpse to become stiff and difficult to move or manipulate.[1] In humans, it commences after about three to four hours, reaches maximum stiffness after 12 hours, and gradually dissipates until approximately 48 to 60 hours after death.[2]

Rigor Mortis sets in within hours of the death....I'm not sure of the exact timing, but it goes away within a fairly short time period, as well. The ME would be able to open the eyes at autopsy, because Travis had been dead for several days. Jodi would likely have had ample time to close his eyes before the rigor mortis.

I don't get how I'm a troll. I don't believe in fucking unicorns either. Somehow that makes me the odd one around here.

Yes, it is possible. A lot of times they will open up on their own, like, half way. I use to put a paper towel over the face (across the eyes) when performing an autopsy. Sometimes, I could never get them to close completely. Or, I could get one eye but not the other.

To be clear though, I don't mean this as a put-down to Ron. It just seems everyone brings him up all the time. He's not making them. I think it's because everyone wants to be the one to convince him.

But, I already convinced him...he just forgot. :(

They don't look alike to me.
I think the middle guy is infamous matt. Google his name and images. He twitters and used to chat with google+. He recently made his google+ private. It had one comment that he was anxious to be able to have social networking again and would be happy when the mess he is involved with is over and he said if you know me, you know what Im talking about. PM me and Ill tell you the twitter name. I think he googles his name and nicknames periodically and then makes them private if someone catches on. I posted before about him with a pic and the next day his google+ became private so I don't want to put it in a public forum.

Wow! I have always wanted to sit in on an autopsy and experience it first hand. I'm sure your job is amazing and stressful!

I agree with sweetharmony about the video where Jodi is supposedly smiling. It looks more like a grimace to me. As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think she's smiling.

I agree I don't think she is smiling. I don't think she was peeking at the pictures this time either.

Doesn't mean she was having sincere remorse. I just don't think she was "smiling."

I would never put him, or anyone else, down, either....I get a kick out of him, actually. In a "gosh, I'd like to just give him a monkey scrub on the head" sort of fondness. ;)
